Why Should the World Support Hong Kong as It Faces Grave Danger

Hello, everyone, nice to see you!

If you are following me on Twitter, you might have seen that I shared quite some videos and photos of the intense protest in Hong Kong last Sunday. Large crowds, tear gases, police brutality, and mass arrests…scenes that we had been seeing for months last year came back to the streets of Hong Kong. People are taking to the streets again to express what they want.

What Do They Protest For?

And what do they want exactly? To put it in a more specific way, they want to protest against the so-called “National Security Law” which is set to be passed on May 28 by the People’s Congress of  the Chinese Communist Party, or the CCP.

They also want to protest against the “National Anthem Law” that the HK government is pushing.

If the “National Anthem Law” is passed, anyone in Hong Kong can be found guilty of actions such as “singing the [Chinese] national anthem in a distorted or disrespectful way”, and they could face a fine up to HK$50,000, or $6,440,  and three years in prison.

If the “National Security Law” is passed, virtually anything the CCP doesn’t like can be defined as a threat to “national security”, and the CCP’s police can go directly to Hong Kong to enforce the law. Hong Kong will become a city of China; and “One Country, Two Systems” will officially be dead.

So, to put it more broadly, people of Hong Kong are defending their freedom, their way of living, and their autonomy that the CCP promised to give them when taking back Hong Kong from the UK in 1997.

A Brief History of Hong Kong

I guess everybody already knew this: Hong Kong was given to the British Empire in 1842 as a colony after the First Opium ˈəʊpiəm War by the Qing Empire which was governing China then. The colony expanded later after the Second Opium War.  In 1898, Britain obtained a 99-year lease of the New Territories, one of the three main regions of Hong Kong

In 1997, when the lease was over, Hong Kong was given back to China, on the condition that the CCP would guarantee Hong Kong’s economic and political systems for 50 years after the transfer. So the term “One Country, Two Systems” has been used to describe the status that although Hong Kong has become part of China, the social system is different. Hong Kong can still maintain its previous ways of living.

The Battle Has Long Since Begun

The problem is, when the CCP promises something to gain something, it never intends to keep its words. After it gains that something, it will just swallow its words. That’s what the CCP has been doing to Hong Kong.

The first major attempt for the CCP to impose some sort of “law” to limit Hong Kong’s freedom was in 2003 when the CCP tried to push the so-called “Basic Law Article 23”

It states that Hong Kong “shall enact laws on its own to prohibit any act of treason, secession, sedition, subversion against the Central People’s Government, or theft of state secrets, to prohibit foreign political organizations or bodies from conducting political activities in the Region, and to prohibit political organizations or bodies of the Region from establishing ties with foreign political organizations or bodies.”

That push was met with great resistance from the people of Hong Kong. Half a million people took to the street to protest against it. The CCP had to give up that attempt.

Since then the battle between the people of Hong Kong and the CCP never stops. At the peak, before the current pandemic, 2 million people took to the streets to protest in June last year.

The CCP’s Mentality

You might wonder: What are they battling for? Why do they fight each other? What is at stake?

Before answering these questions, let’s watch a 2-minute video first. It is a speech made by CCP general Xu Yan at the “2018 Annual Meeting of National Famous Teachers’ Workshop Union” in China. Nearly 2000 educators and students attended that conference.  The English subtitles are translated and added by me.

I have to say this short 2-minute speech tells us a lot. That’s how the CCP looks at the people of Hong Kong, and that’s also how the CCP looks at the people of the free world. At the deepest level of CCP’s conscience and sub-conscience, any human being who thinks differently, who cannot be controlled is an enemy of the CCP. They don’t accept people who have different values, or who cannot be turned into slaves.

That’s why ever since Hong Kong was transferred to the CCP, the CCP has been feeling that this place, and the people of this place, are like a thorn in its back.

For example, after the CCP decided to crack down on Falun Gong, a peaceful meditation and self-improvement system, in 1999, and threw hundreds of thousands of Falun Gong practitioners in jail, or murdered them by harvesting their organs, you virtually cannot see any Falun Gong practitioners publicly practicing Falun Gong exercises in China anymore, although many of them are still practicing at home. So the CCP can declare victory over Falun Gong.

However, in Hong Kong, Falun Gong practitioners can still be seen everywhere, and they actively organize all sorts of activities to raise awareness of the persecution in China and to expose the CCP’s anti-humanity crimes.

So, this is also a  thorn in CCP’s flesh.

Another thing the CCP hates very much about Hong Kong is that Hong Kong still has freedom of speech. Many books and publications that criticize the CCP, or talk about the crimes and scandals of the CCP leaders, can be published and sold in Hong Kong, and many mainland Chinese people especially travel to Hong Kong to buy them and then take them back to China.

The CCP has made such tremendous efforts to control information and free speech in  China, how can it allow this to happen in Hong Kong?

That is why the CCP cannot wait for 50 years to turn Hong Kong into a colony of its own.

On the other hand, people of Hong Kong have enjoyed freedom and prosperity as part of the free and civilized world. They can not bear to have their freedom taken away.

Let’s also watch a 2-minute video to learn how people of Hong Kong feel and think. The lyrics of the video go like this:

When you choose to travel far

You’ll have to always march forward

When you choose brightness

You must break free from the darkness.

When you choose honor

You must conquer fear

When you choose faith

You’ll have to defend it with life

Goodwill alone cannot defeat the evil

Justice must have an iron fist of its own

If the civilized world didn’t have the weapon of justice

This world would have long been devastated

Freedom won’t fall from the sky

We must fight for it

If people of Hong Kong don’t fight today

Tomorrow we’ll become slaves of the CCP

Without land, without freedom

Without rights, without dignity.

Only exploitation and slavery generations after generations

And we’ll be forced to thank the CCP

Not Compatible

I believe after watching this video, as well as listening to what people of Hong Kong think, you will understand that the values and the mentality of CCP and people of the free world are totally different, and are completely opposite to each other.

In this sense, CCP’s social system is not “compatible” with that of the free world. Although people in the free world might think we can “co-exist” with the CCP, the CCP doesn’t think they can co-exist with the free world. That is the fundamental reason why they must kill the “One Country, Two Systems” in front of the entire world.

Why Now?

Another question to ask is: Why did the CCP choose to push this agenda NOW?

On May 22,  the day when the CCP announced that it would push forward the “National Security Law”, CCP’s mouthpiece the People Daily published an article saying that “Hong Kong must not be allowed to become a loophole in terms of national security”.

On the following day, May 23, the People Daily published another article saying that the “anti-China politicians” in the West are recklessly interfering with Hong Kong’s affairs because of the “national security” “loophole” in Hong Kong.  So the central government cannot allow an  “undefended”  Hong Kong to exist anymore.

We can say that is the official explanation of the CCP.

Other “unofficial” theories are:

To Divert Attention

Faced with mounting pressure from the international world of holding the CCP accountable for the pandemic, the CCP desperately needed something to divert attention. If they succeed, they win, it’s a bonus for them. Even if they don’t succeed in passing the law, they are still successful as they’ve opened up another battlefield to divert the world’s attention. So it is a careful calculation for the CCP. They have nothing to lose, although Hong Kong will be a victim. They don’t care about Hong Kong anymore, as it is causing too many headaches.

To Prevent the Potential Disgraceful Failure in Legislative Council Election

Another theory is, Hong Kong will soon have its Legislative Council election, that is, in September this year, only about 3 months away.

In last year’s local elections in Hong Kong, as well as this year’s Taiwanese presidential election, pro-CCP figures or parties lost very badly and disgracefully. People regard both elections as referendums on the public’s choices: both people of Hong Kong and Taiwan voted a big fat “No” for the CCP.

So, the CCP worried that if it didn’t take some dramatic measures to crack down on Hong Kong, it would lose bitterly again in the upcoming  Legislative Council election. If that happens, it means the CCP will lose its control over Hong Kong in many ways. So the CCP must stop that no matter what.

The CCP Cannot Help Itself From Doing Evil

My own theory is that it is pointless to try to figure out why and how the CCP would do something, as CCP’s mentality is not something that normal human beings can fathom. Why do I say so?

When anything is created, it is given a purpose or a mission. For example, when we create a cup, we want to use it to drink water. When we create a pen, we want to use it to write.

When the evil specter of Communism was created, it was given a mission to destroy humankind. Period.

So while we would imagine that a normal government, a normal political party in a normal society would consider social consequences when making decisions, the CCP won’t.

I doubt sometimes the CCP leaders, when controlled by the evil specter behind them, cannot help themselves from doing evil or mad things. I think we have already seen enough examples of this.

Therefore, instead of trying to figure out what is in the CCP’s mind, we should first see through its evil nature, then accept the fact that it can not be changed for better, and then act proactively to stop it from doing more evil, and to defeat and remove it from this planet of ours.

If we don’t, if we let the CCP get away with creating such a tremendous catastrophe for mankind, what else will the CCP not do? If we allow the CCP to kill Hong Kong’s freedom, its next target will be Taiwan and the world.

Okey, that’s all for today. Truth, even inconvenient, does save lives. Please subscribe to and share my channel.

Thank you, see you next time.

Secrets Behind the Citywide Tests in Wuhan

On May 11,  more than one month after Wuhan reopened, the authorities suddenly announced that citywide nucleic acid testing would be conducted for over 11 million residents in Wuhan after six new cases were reported.

The testing would be done within 10 days, and it is called “10 days of mass battle.”

People have asked: Why is such a dramatic move needed if there were only 6 new cases? Is it feasible to test 11 million people in only 10 days? Why did they do it?

Well, actually, things may not be as simple as we see them on the surface; and there could be much deeper reasons lying behind this “10 days of mass battle”.  Today let’s try to explore what the secrets are.

Historical Numbers of Tests

First of all, let’s check a little bit of the history of Wuhan’s nucleic acid testing, during the peak of the outbreak.

When the Chinese Communist Party, the CCP, first compiled data on the epidemic, it focused only on the number of confirmed cases and death tolls. It didn’t take much consideration into the testing, or the testing numbers.

At the early stage of Wuhan’s lockdown, there were not enough testing kits, or qualified testing personnel or institutions to do the tests, so the CCP just ignored the testing altogether.

On January 27, the Wuhan Health Commission announced that “from January 23 to 27,  4086 tests were conducted, among them 712 came back as positive”.

However, the confirmed cases announced that day were 1,590, more than twice the number of the positive test results. From this we knew that nucleic acid testing is not the main means of confirming cases then.

On January 28, Wuhan Health Commission said that “the number of fever outpatient consultations increased day by day, with more than 15,000 people during peak hours”, “from January 22 to 27, the city received a total of 75,221 fever patients in fever outpatient consultations”. At that time, the total test number is just 4086.

On Jan. 29, the Wuhan Health Commission said that,  because the virus was very contagious, and that the researchers needed to gradually get familiar with the testing process, so there wouldn’t be more than 2000 tests in the beginning, which means,  the maximum testing capacity of the city was only nearly 2000 per day.

This confirms claims made by many Wuhan residents back then that a large number of patients could not get a test.

On February 6,  Wuhan Health  Commission  said that “Wuhan City has announced 64 fever clinics to facilitate the screening of fever patients in each district for isolation treatment.”

This shows that 2 weeks after the lockdown of Wuhan, the city was still mainly relying on symptoms of fever instead of virus testing results to judge whether to quarantine or give treatment to patients.

At the same time, without a testing result, one’s case couldn’t be confirmed, nor could one get admitted into the hospital; and the government wouldn’t cover the medical costs if one didn’t have a confirmed case.

On March 3, Wuhan Health Commission announced that “The number of nucleic acid tests on Mar 1 was as high as 18,127 people”, and half of the tests were for suspected cases and close contact cases.

At that stage, Wuhan had been in lockdown for over a month, so the test number of  some 18 K was not a large number in any sense.

At that time, the CCP was trying to create a “peak”, an inflection point for the epidemic, by discharging a large number of patients from the hospital, so nearly half of the test capacities were used to repeatedly test patients who were going to be discharged.

After that, the authorities stopped announcing new testing numbers. It is likely that no more testing had been done since then.

On the other hand, the accuracy of the testing remains low and they had to do the test repeatedly on the same person. The international community learned that the accuracy ratio of Chinese test kits was as low as 20-30% only after some countries imported them in March.

On March 26, Wuhan Health Commission again announced a new  testing number, saying that 9,844 tests were conducted on March 24. It shows that the number of testing had decreased. Perhaps the CCP had realized that testing was not that useful, so they stopped testing, as they wanted to have zero new cases anyway. If you stop doing testing, you of course won’t get any new cases. That’s why we kept seeing no new reported cases in Wuhan for as long as 35 days, until May 9, when 6 new cases were announced.

Defeating the US and Other Countries

So what’s the problem of not doing tests? Because now we have international comparisons.

After the pandemic spread to Europe and the US, many countries placed great importance on testing capabilities, and the media kept updating daily test numbers.

That’s why the CCP suddenly realized that it had forgotten to make up enough testing numbers. Countries have already begun to question the epidemic data released by the CCP, so lacking testing data would soon become another huge problem for the CCP.

To make this up, the CCP had already secretly changed its testing numbers, before announcing the mass testing in Wuhan.

On 8 April, on the day when Wuhan reopened, Wuhan Health Commission announced that the number of tests on that day had suddenly increased to “27,649”, and on April 19, Wuhan Health Commission again announced that the number of tests had reached “an average of 46,000 per day”, and that “since March 18, the city has tested 627,000 people”.

The city of Wuhan has a population of 11 million people, so 627,000 is still a very small number, and that doesn’t look good enough after the city had been locked down for more than two months.

On May 1, Wuhan Health Commission again announced that on April 30, 57,938  tests were done, which again shows that the CCP was trying to make up the numbers.

The reason for the CCP to do so is that on April 30, the UK exceeded its target of 100,000 tests per day. And the US has even bigger test numbers. As of now,  the total number of tests in the US is nearly 12 million.

So, that is the main reason why the CCP has to do a citywide test in Wuhan. It has been boasting about its status as a “Great Power in Defeating the Pandemic”, so the number of total tests much “defeat” that of the United States and other countries too.

Preparing for Potential International Investigations

The international pressure to hold the CCP accountable for the pandemic is mounting, and the CCP certainly feels it.

There have also been criticisms that the CCP had discharged patients without really having them cured.

So, by conducting mass, citywide testing, the CCP can later announce that a certain number of “asymptomatic infections” have been found. When people accuse the CCP for covering up the outbreak or irresponsibly discharging patients, they can say, “Oh, there were so many ‘asymptomatic’ cases. What can we do?”

If there are any more outbreaks, they can also use “asymptomatic infections” as an excuse for failing to control the disease.

Digesting Returned Test Kits

Another reason for the mass test could be to “digest” the returned test kits. I think we’ve read many news reports about countries returning testing kits they imported from China after finding them no good.

For example, Britain purchased 2 million test kits from China for at least $20 million, only to find them prove ineffective and have to be returned.

Many countries experienced the same thing. So the total number of these returned test kits is likely to be close to 10 million units.

You know  China is ruled by CCP. It is impossible for a company to gain export permission if this company doesn’t have close ties to the CCP, or is not directly owned by the CCP. The real bosses behind those companies that could export the test kits to other countries are naturally powerful people at all levels of the CCP.  So the CCP naturally didn’t want to have those people suffer the losses of the returned test kits.

So, that’s how a citywide test campaign was needed: To “digest” the returned test kits.

Making More Money

On May 15, the Hubei Provincial Health Insurance Bureau and Hubei Health Commission jointly issued a notice,  saying that from May 16 onwards, the price of nucleic acid testing would be adjusted from not higher than 180 yuan, or $25,  to not higher than 132 yuan, or $18.57, and antibody testing shall be decreased from not higher than 50 yuan, or about $7, to not higher than 40 yuan, or about $6.

So, if one person does two tests, that’s about 172 yuan, or $25. For 11 million people, the total cost, or income for organizations that provide the testing service, will be nearly 19 billion yuan, or 275 million US dollars.  That’s big business, right?

Chinese media Caixin reported that the citywide test in Wuhan would be mainly conducted by “third party” companies, and hospitals and CDCs of each district in Wuhan would help with taking the samples.  This means that those “third party” companies will of course gain the payments from the tests.

On May 5, Hubei Province and Wuhan City Medical Security Bureau issued a notice, saying that nucleic acid testing would be temporarily included in the medical insurance policies, and the individual out-of-pocket ratio is 10% to 30%; while Wuhan City inpatient nucleic acid testing individual out-of-pocket ratio is set at 10%.

So, regardless who is going to pay for the test, whether it’s the individuals, the government, or the insurance companies, those  “third party” companies will have much to gain. How much corruption lies behind this? Nobody knows.

Political Needs

Another reason is, the CCP is going to hold its most important annual political conferences soon, on May 21.  The conferences are  the conference for the National People’s Congress and the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference.

So, by conducting such a mass testing, the CCP can again boast its “achievement” in battling the pandemic, and can show to Chinese people and to the world how hard the CCP is working to battle the pandemic.

Can the CCP Really Do it?

However, can the CCP really do it?

According to Wuhan Health Commission, on May 10, 39,735 nucleic acid tests were conducted. This means only less than 40 K tests were done on that day.

State media Hubei Daily reported on May 14 that there are currently 63 nucleic acid testing institutions and 386 sampling sites in Wuhan, and the daily nucleic acid testing capacity in Wuhan can reach 100,000 under “extreme conditions”.

That is to say, the maximum amount of tests that can be done each day is  100,000. But to finish testing 11 million people in 10 days, you need to do 1 million in a day.

So, can they really do it? Or, will they just announce they have done it at some stage? You can make your own judgment.

A Show, A Risking Campaign, Or Sheer “Nonsense”?

Since the announcement of the “10 days of mass battle”, videos and pictures of people lining up in close distances and waiting to be tested are being circulated on the Internet. In one audio file, a woman could be heard calling the mass testing a “stupid decision”.

She asks, “In the middle of this testing process, what happens if there is cross-infection? When you are tested, you need to open your mouth and take the mask off, right? How can medical workers change their masks and gloves in such a short period of time? How do you guarantee disinfection? Then there are those who cough and sneeze in the process and the air around them is polluted, how do you disinfect in time? These are questions you didn’t even think about, and then you just ran out to have 10 million more people tested. Stupid decision, such a stupid decision!”

She also said that her son had not left home for months, and had not been infected. However, going out to do the test could get her son infected. What nonsense!

Citizens are also worried about leaks of personal information too. A  netizen revealed that at a testing site in Jiangan District, everyone was required to show their ID before the testing, and the staff would take a picture of everyone holding their IDs. The netizen said this is illegally gathering people’s personal information.

Other residents said the same thing happened in other districts too.

On May 17, the official Weibo Account of Jiangan District published a post, saying that the photos containing people’s ID cards have been deleted, and this kind of thing won’t happen again in the future.

But the public is not convinced. They ask, “Why haven’t those people been punished? How can you prove that those photos have been deleted? If they’ve already been forwarded to others, what can we do?”

Deleted Reports (Again)

Okay, these are some of the secrets behind Wuhan’s mass testing. How many tests have been done? How many “asymptomatic infections” have been found? We have no idea.

Several days ago, some Chinese media reported that initial testing results in Wuhan show that at least 500K have been infected. News titles can still be found if you search for them. However, when you click on those titles, you’ll find the reports have been deleted.

So here we go again: In CCP ruled China, everything can be a “national secret”. We may never be able to find out all the real numbers, or truths.

So, when the CCP promises that they will allow an independent investigation, don’t trust them either. They will try to destroy the evidence first and corrupt the investigation, just like what they have been doing all the time with international organizations and initiatives.

Why Does WHO Change the Name of the Virus From 2019 nCoV SARS to “COVID-19”? 世衛爲何把病毒名稱從「SARS-CoV-2」改爲「COVID-19」?

(Jennifer’s note: Below is a question I received from a patron at my Patreon Page, as well as my reply. )

(曾錚注:以下是我從我的Patreon會員網頁上接到的一名捐助者的問題,以及我的回答。)

Q: Ms. Zeng, a question for you: Did the WHO change the name of the virus from SARS-CoV-2 to “COVID-19” to make it easier for the CCP to censor the term “COVID-19” because there is no translation for it in Chinese? As I recall, people were passing information about it using the Chinese word for “crown”. Thank you.

A: I don’t know why exactly the WHO gave that name to SARS-CoV-2. The CCP always stresses that it is WHO’s principle to not connect a disease with any specific race, country/place to avoid discrimination.

答:我不知道世衛到底爲何將「SARS-CoV-2」改爲「COVID-19」。中共一直在強調,世衛的原則是,病毒的命名中不能帶有種族或地名,以避免造成歧視。

As a matter of fact, I believe that it is CCP that gave the WHO pressure to have them name SARS-CoV-2 as COVID-19, for the CCP, in turn, to use COVID-19 to show that this virus has nothing really to do with the CCP or Wuhan.

The CCP doesn’t like any mention of SARS as well. When the entire world uses SARS to refer to SARS, the CCP uses its own term “Fei Dian” to refer to SARS.

另外,中共也不喜歡SARS這個詞。當全世界都把SARS 稱爲SARS 時,中共卻把它稱爲「非典」。

Fei Dian means non-typical. So the CCP calls SARS “non-typical pneumonia”, which sounds not dangerous at all. Just “non-typical pneumonia”.

「非典」就是「非典型」的意思。所以中共把SARS叫做「非典型性肺炎」,這樣聽起來不那麼嚇人,只是一種「非典型性肺炎」而已。

Yes, the CCP always plays around with words and terms to achieve its purpose: to control the history, the present, and the future.

是的,中共一貫喜歡玩弄和操縱名詞術語,以達其掌控過去、現在及將來的企圖。

I hope this helps.

希望這對您有所幫助。

2nd Wave in Wuhan?

【Videos of the Day】2nd Wave in Wuhan?

6 new cases were confirmed in Wuhan, and authorities are ordering to have all the people in the whole city to be tested in 10 days.

Let’s watch some videos first. This is at the Lifeng Hotel in Hankou area in  Wuhan. About 20 people were moved out of the hotel into three vehicles. The man who shot this video is saying that all three vehicles were full. One more is being carried out. Most of them are seniors. Wow, so many are being carried out. We cannot visit this hotel anymore.

The man who shot this video says, “The government at Dongxihu District in Wuhan is offering free tests at Duoluokou Market for everyone.

Government reports say that there appeared 6 confirmed cases in one community in Dongxihu District during recent days.

A leaked government document dated May 11 says that urgent testing and screening will be done in the entire Wuhan in ten days. Virtually everybody will be tested, with priority given to some older, or densely populated communities, or areas where there is a lot of migrant population.

Official figures show that from the day when Wuhan reopened, that was, Apr. 8, to Apr 29, about 1 million people were given tests. This means 90% are yet to be tested in 10 days.

As a result of the 6 new cases, the party secretary in that community, Zhang Xinyu, was removed from his position as he had done a poor job in controlling the epidemic.

You might think it quite dramatic to remove an official for just 6 confirmed cases. In the United States, more than 1 million people have tested positive, but we haven’t heard about any official being removed because of the huge numbers.

Well, this is the way how the CCP handles things. They give pressure to small guys, local officials. If they do a poor job, they will be removed. This gives the local officials incentives to cover up the problems when they can. So sometimes they choose to eliminate, or reduce the reported numbers of the cases, instead of trying to eliminate the cases.

Other questions to ask are: Who is responsible for the entire outbreak? Who ordered to cover-up the epidemic in the beginning? Who ordered people not to tell the public that this disease was human to human? Who ordered to have Dr. Liwenliang and other whistleblowers arrested? Who ordered police to arrest citizen journalists who tried to report about the true situation in Wuhan? Where are Fang Bin and Chen Qiushi now?

Before we have answers to the above questions, what is the point of removing a low-level party leader in a community for 6 news cases? Did he make the decision to close all the Fangcang hospitals in Wuhan without patients really being cured? Did he order to have Wuhan reopen without proper precautions while the virus was still there?

【Videos of the Day】Protest in Wuhan

Now, let’s check some other videos. Last weekend, people in Wuhan took to the street to protest against the government’s plan to build transformer substations in a densely populated area called Nanhu.

They held a banner which says “The epidemic hasn’t gone yet, transformer substations are coming! People in Nanhu need a way to survive!”

Police tried to disperse the protesters, some beating them up.

The protesters shouted, “Give me back my health, Wuhan stay strong!”

One netizen says that the government didn’t plan well. They dug holes in the roads, then filled them, and then dug more holes. They wasted a lot of money on this but refused to give people free tests for the virus.

Some other netizens say it is good to see that people are no longer only protesting for money. They are fighting for their health issue instead.

Some say instead of trying to get rid of the transformer substations, people in Wuhan should try to get rid of the P4 lab of Wuhan Insititute of Virology instead to ensure their safety and health.

【Videos of the Day】On Mother’s Day, Mother in Wuhan Seeks Justice for Daughter Killed by CCP Virus

This also happened in Wuhan, on Mother’s Day. Yang Min, a Wuhan resident tried to stage a one-person protest in front of the Appeals Office for the death of her 24-year-old daughter, who died of the virus.

She was eventually removed by some security guards; and was allowed to return home later.

The characters on the board beside her daughter’s photo say “The government covered up the truth about the epidemic. Give me back my daughter.”

The character on the board of her back says, “Injustice”, or “Wronged”.

She later told the reporter of the Epoch Times that her daughter got infected when visiting the Union Hospital on Jan. 16, and died on Feb 6.

She said, “If we had known about [the contagious nature of] this disease, we wouldn’t have gone to the hospital, and my daughter wouldn’t have died.”

She raised three demands in the materials she tried to give to the government:

  1. Hold the officials who covered up the disease accountable for their anti-humanity crimes, disclose all the facts to the public, and apologize to families of the victims.

  2. Compensate the financial and mental damages

  3. The right to make appeals to the public through media and the internet.

Yang Min said she was also infected, only she had survived while her daughter had not. She said, “Yesterday was Mother’s Day, with my child gone, whose mother can I be?”

The latest photo she sent out showing her locked inside the residential block and couldn’t go out anymore.

【Videos of the Day】No More Jobs!

This video shows the recruitment site at TCL China Star Optoelectronics Technology Co., Ltd in Wuhan.  A staff member shouting to the people waiting there, “No more jobs! Everyone leave! Have you heard me? Leave, no more jobs!”

TCL is a listed company in China that boasted a 200 billion Chinese yuan investment capital. Obviously, it has been hit hard by the pandemic.

It was reported that other big companies in Wuhan, including Foxconn, Lenovo,

and Tianma Micro-Electronics have all stopped hiring.

【Videos of the Day】Secondary Humanitarian Disaster

This video shows that at Chifeng City in Inner Mongolia, a man tried to climb over the iron fence to get home, as all gates were locked during the pandemic. It was very unfortunate that the sharp end of the iron fence pierced through his belly and he got stuck there. He died later as a result.

This is just another typical secondary humanitarian disaster in China during the pandemic. The lockdown we talk about here in the West is very different from the lockdown in China, where the CCP really locks people inside their homes, buildings, and residential blocks, and there are people guarding the entrances to ensure that nobody gets out or gets in without permission.

There is no basic trust, human dignity, or respect. The CCP doesn’t trust the public, and many people don’t trust the CCP or their fellow citizens. That’s why the CCP chose to physically lock people’s homes and residential blocks.

【Videos of the Day】Financial Crisis

This video was shot on May 9, showing dozens of investors protesting in front of an office of Anxin Trust. They shouted, “Anxin, return my money!”

Anxin Trust is a huge financial company in China, and the only listed trust company at the Shanghai stock market.

However, it couldn’t pay back its 30 billion yuan investment products, and that’s why these investors were protesting.

This is not the first time that Anxin’s default has drawn public attention. About a year ago, early last year, it missed payments on 11.8bn yuan for 25 trust products.

This could reflect another huge problem China is facing: the failure and broken capital chain in the financial sector.

Cellphone Data Suggests October Shutdown at Wuhan lab

Now go back to Wuhan, a private analysis of cellphone location data

Shows that there was no cell phone activity in and around Wuhan Institute of Virology, specifically at the P4 lab, from Oct. 7 through Oct. 24, last year, and that there may have been a “hazardous event” sometime between Oct. 6 and Oct. 11.

Although it offers no direct evidence of a shutdown at Wuhan Institue of Virology, it does raise the question regarding what happened in those days. Could this mean that some accident had happened there, and the virus was released, or the pandemic began earlier than initially reported?

We’ll have to wait and see.

Okey, that’s for today. Again, please subscribe to my new channel, or support me in any other way.

Thank you, see you next time!

YouTube Denies Me Revenue, But I’ll Only Focus on the Real Threat 曾錚真言會員頻道開通宣言

Hello, my name is Jennifer Zeng. You may have or have not heard about the news that my YouTube Channel was demonetized without any explanation after I did a program about the origin of that most powerful, and most sensitive thing coming out of China, which has killed nearly 300 K people worldwide. And that number doesn’t include Chinese people, as we don’t know how many have died in China.

After my channel was demonetized, may I say, very unfairly, some people suggested that I find a lawyer and start a lawsuit against YouTube. After some consideration, I decided not to pursue that, so that I can continue to focus on the most important thing that I need to do, which is, to tell the inconvenient truths about China and the world to save people’s lives.

在我的頻道被無故取消廣告資格後,有人建議我找律師跟油管打官司。我考慮再三,決定放棄打官司,這樣我才能繼續將精力集中在最重要的事情上,也就是講述也许會令人不快的真相,以挽救更多的生命。

I have no interest in going after YouTube, as I know the real, the most dangerous, and the ultimate threat to humankind is the Chinese Communist Party, the CCP. It has already brought such tremendous losses to mankind. If we don’t stop it, what mankind will face could be utter destruction.

我無意跟油管糾纏,因爲人類真正的、最危險的、最終極的威脅是中共。它已經給人類帶來了如此巨大的損失。 如果我們不能及時阻止它,那可能會面臨滅頂之災。

I hope you won’t think that I am exaggerating or making some sensational, baseless claims. I have enough reason to believe that this thing we are facing now is not over yet, and another, more damning wave could hit soon if people still cannot be awakened by such a huge disaster that we are dealing with.

That is the reason why I don’t want to waste my time and energy on going after YouTube.

這就是我不想把時間和精力浪費在跟油管打官司上的原因。

The option I chose was suggested by my wonderful Twitter followers, that is, to open a subscription channel so that people can make contributions. So, that’s what I did. I’ve set up an account at Subscribestar, and I hope you can support me.

我目前所選擇的是熱心網友建議的,那就是開通一個收費會員頻道,給願意支持我的人们提供一個途徑。所以我在Subscribestar網站上建了一個頻道,請到那裏支持我。

In the meantime, I’d like to continue to make my videos free so that more people can have the chance to watch them.

與此同此,我仍然希望更多的人能免費看到我的視頻。

Therefore, becoming a subscriber to my subscription channel may not bring you much privilege in terms of gaining much more than others. Instead, it is about enabling me to continue to offer free information, and about fighting together with me against the most powerful, and the most damaging common enemy of mankind, the evil specter of the Chinese Communist Party. We must win this battle, no matter what.

I am very, very grateful to people who have donated to me, who will donate, and who support me in any other way. Your contribution not only keeps me going but is also helping so many others.

我非常、非常感激已經和即將捐助我,或以其他任何方式支持我的人們。你們的支持不但讓我能繼續製作視頻,也幫助了更多更多的人。

So, please subscribe to and share my new channel at Subscribestar, or consider making contributions via other channels. The link to my new channel and ways to donate are in the description window below this video.

所以,請訂閱和分享我的新頻道,並考慮給我捐款。新頻道的鏈接和捐款方法在視頻下的描述框裏。

Without your support, I don’t know how far I can continue to walk alone on this path. Your support will empower me and give me enough courage to carry on. And I do believe that there are enough kind-hearted people out there who care, just like me. Together, let’s try to tell more inconvenient truths to save more lives.

如果沒有您的支持,我不知我獨自一人還能在這條路上走多遠。您的支持是我有勇氣和能力走下去的動力源泉。我相信世上有足夠多的善良的人們會與我同心。讓我們一起講述真相,挽救更多生命。

Thank you, thank you from the bottom of my heart.

謝謝您,從我心底最深處。

Heilongjiang Provincial Health Commission

Guidance On Laboratory Bio-safety Technology

To Every City (District) Health Commission And Provincial CDCs:

In accordance with the requirements of “Notice On Strengthening Laboratory Bio-security And Quality Control And Accelerating The Improvement of Nucleic Acid Detection Capability”(Document No.160(2020) announced by Heilongjiang Headquarters Office Of The Leading Group For Response To New Coronavirus Infection Pneumonia), the Provincial CDC will establish guidance groups of provincial bio-safety and quality control (referred to as the guidance group), (the members of these guidance groups)will be stationed respectively at every action spot of province and municipalities (managed) organizations and also of another 13 districts. They will work together with laboratory testing personnel face-to-face and hand in hand, to quickly improve testing capabilities and ensure biological safety. The special plan is as follows:

 1. Time and Locations

From May 4th (The members should prepare for a long-term stay at the action spots) guidance groups will be formed, and after training, they will be dispatched to the provincial (municipal) organizations and districts and will be stationed at the action spots.

 2.  The Specific Itinerary

 (1) The composition of the guidance groups. 14 provincial guidance groups will be composed of 45 experts (referred to appendix), and each guidance group is composed of 3 persons; among them, 2 persons are appointed by the provincial CDC. It is necessary to select experts and technical backbones who are familiar with practical techniques and regulations in the field of bio-safety, and one of them will be appointed as the leader of the guidance group. And another one appointed by the cities or districts where the action spots are located will be assigned to be responsible for the overall coordination of local guidance. At the same time, the Provincial Center for Disease Control will send six deputy business directors to lead the dispatched team and to do a good job in connecting and work deployment.

 (2) Itinerary. On May 4th, a provincial health commission will organize a visit to Huada Medicine in Heilongjiang…

89-reruy2899.jpg

… All cities and counties should not wait or rely on others, should seize the opportunity of getting help from (high-level experts dispatched to subordinate organizations), should cherish learning opportunities, as well as to enhance endogenous motivations, and strive to establish its own testing teams to independently respond to normalized testing tasks and to ensure the Bio-security of each region.

     (2) To improve awareness of safety. In the guidance process, it is necessary to strictly follow the bio-safety related documents and the “Operation Manual”, and to take enough measures for personal protection. In regard to ensuring bio-safety, (It is also necessary) to implement relevant regulations on laboratory bio-safety management, as well as on the storage and use of test samples and etc.

(3) All regulations must be strictly enforced. To achieve integrity and self-discipline, the guidance group should strictly implement the “Eight Regulations” announced by central government and “nine regulations” announced by the provincial commission and provincial government. They must obey unified arrangements, concentrate their efforts to win the forts of the war of province’s pandemic prevention and control, (they also must) overcome difficulties and strictly push the preventing tasks against (the pandemic). Before the end of the mission, it is not allowed to return to Harbin without approval. If there are special situations that personnel exchange is necessary, (the members) must apply to the provincial CDC and submit a report to the Health Commission for approval.

 (4) To do a good job of overall planning. The city (and district) health commissions must do a good job in connecting the guidance groups and in the follow-up coordination. All departments should form a joint force, and they must not be evasive or go slow in terms of the assignments. A supervision team will be set up at the provincial to randomly check on the implementations in cities and counties. The funds required for the guidance assignments are the responsibility of organizations assigning the dispatch.

Mysterious Death of Chinese Coronavirus Researcher: Killer Has CCP Ties

Today I’ll talk about my own investigation about the death of the Chinese coronavirus researcher Bing Liu, and I’ll share some facts that nobody else has found regarding the background of the killer. So stick to the end.

When virtually everybody is closely watching how many more people have died of the CCP virus, and when a vaccine will be available, there suddenly appeared a somewhat shocking piece of news: Chinese coronavirus researcher was murdered right “on verge of ‘significant findings‘”!

The murder happened on May 2, in Pittsburgh in the US.

The researcher was 37-year-old Bing Liu. He was shot dead at his home. The killer was 46-year-old Hao Gu. Police say that Hao Gu shot himself to death after he killed Bing Liu.

Bing Liu’s employer, the University of Pittsburgh, said that Liu ‘was on the verge of making very significant findings’ in a COVID 19, or CCP Virus, research project. “We will make an effort to complete what he started in an effort to pay homage to his scientific excellence.”

Police later announced that there is ‘zero evidence’  that Bing Liu’s death was connected to his work on coronavirus, and that “the suspected murder-suicide was a result of a lengthy dispute regarding an intimate partner.”

Actually, before the police announced this, some Chinese netizens were already spreading some sort of chat records, claiming those records showing Bing Liu discussing his relationships with more than one woman.

Both Chinese and English media reported about Liu’s death, as “coronavirus” is a hot and sensitive issue now. Conspiracy theories were immediately sparked up. Interestingly, these theories are very different inside and outside of China.

Inside China, a user said on social media platform Weibo that both Liu and Gu were murdered by the CIA, another said “Oh my god, this seems like coming straight out of Mission Impossible. Perhaps he found out that the virus originated from an American lab.”

Chinese netizens said this because Chinese officials and state media had previously promoted a claim that the virus originated in the US and was brought to Wuhan by American soldiers.

However, outside of Chinese, some people say Liu was murdered by the Chinese Communist Party, the CCP. One Twitter user said, “Ever since the outbreak of the virus, many people died mysteriously. The plots are more exciting than in the movies. Whoever is close to the truth will die.”

Some scholars also echoed netizen’s claims.

The suspicious deaths listed by netizens include:

  1. Frank Plummer

Frank Plummer was a Canadian scientist key to the coronavirus investigation. It was reported that he died “ in mysterious conditions” in Feburay in Kenya, where he was a keynote speaker at the annual meeting of a university. People were speculating whether he was assassinated. His wife said he died of a heart attack.

People also noted that he had been the chief scientist at the National Microbiology Laboratory of Canada for 14 years. In July last year, officials at the National Microbiology Laboratory  escorted  Chinese scientist Xiangguo Qiu and her biologist husband  Keding Cheng, and an unknown number of her students from the lab and revoked their access rights. It was reported that “a number of observers have speculated that case involves concerns about the improper transfer of intellectual property to China.”

The latest news is, Qiu has helped train staff at the lab of Wuhan Institute of Virology, and she had made 8 trips to China, including 2 to Wuhan in the three years before she was removed from the National Microbiology Laboratory of Canada.

The spokesperson of The Public Health Agency of Canada also revealed that the Wuhan Institute of Virology had requested a shipment of Ebola and henipavirus samples in March last year. Henipavirus is another highly virulent family of pathogens.

2. Zhang Lan.

Another suspicious death happened to Zhang Lan. She lived in New York and maintained a blog at the Chinese media platform Caixin. She started to write a series of posts entitled “New Yorkers During the Pandemic” on Mar. 6.

She said in her first post, “As many Chinese media outlets’ coverage of the epidemic in the United States is distorted and exaggerated, I decided to write about what I see and hear about the epidemic in New York starting today. I do not seek to be exactly correct, but I will write about what I see. I do not seek a magnitude perspective but will write about the small things around me that I know. ”

She kept updating her posts every day, until Mar 27. Then, on Mar. 28, the editor of Caixin suddenly announced that she had died in the morning on Mar 27 local time.

It was said that she was knocked down by a truck while walking on the sidewalks. But some netizens were not conviced, as they said that during the lockdown, there was little or no traffic at all in the city, how could that happen?

I remember once a friend said, if you see one dead fly in your room, it could be just accidental. If you see two dead flies, it could still be OK. However, if you see three dead flies in your room, you need to check what’s wrong in your house.

So, as we’ve already seen at least three suspicious death, I tried to make some investigations regarding the latest one, and here is what I found:

The Pittsburgh Post Gazette, the largest newspaper in the city, reported on May 4 that Bing Liu’s neighbors did not hear any sounds of gunshots on the day of his death and that a formal ruling by the county medical examiner on the cause of Liu’s death is still pending.

So a Wionews article asks, “Was it really a murder over a love triangle? Or the outcome of some conspiracy? Are there more secrets hidden in the dark?

Another thing I found is, it seems that in this “murder-suicide” case, both the killer and the victim had some sort of ties to China, or to the CCP.

On the victim’s side. Liu was born in China and his parents still live there. He gave talks in China as recently as 2018, according to his bio page at the University of Pittsburgh’s website. But little was known about his history before he went to Singapore to study in 2002.

Bing Liu’s employer, University of Pittsburgh, seems to have a very strong position in virology. On Apr. 3 this year, researchers from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine said they believe they have found a vaccine for the coronavirus after studying a similar virus.

Some other fact is, Pittsburgh is a sister city of Wuhan. Pittsburgh Today’s senior editor Jeffery Fraser wrote an article on March 11, with this title: “Coronavirus May Strengthen Pittsburgh’s Ties to Wuhan”.

Another fact is, University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, UPMC, is building 5 private hospitals in China with Beijing-based conglomerate [kənˈɡlɒmərət ] Wanda Group as part of a $2 billion investment over the next two decades. UPMC’s CEO Jeffrey Romoff said that with the 20-year deal, UPMC  will soon be able to boast “the largest presence of American-style medicine outside the United States.”

On the killer’s side.  Hao Gu’s Linkedin account information shows that he was a chief software architect at Eaton Corp., a power management company based in Ireland.

After his case was reported, netizens soon discovered that Gu once worked as the registrar for Pittsburgh Chinese School, and once won a “School Work Reward” for 2013-2014.

Hao Gu was the registrar at Pittsburgh Chinese School

Hao Gu was the registrar at Pittsburgh Chinese School

Hao Gu once won a “School Work Reward” for 2013-2014.

Hao Gu once won a “School Work Reward” for 2013-2014.

I did some further investigation, and found the following:

Hao Gu’s name was listed under “School Management Team” as the registrar on a 15-page long publication of Pittsburgh Chinese School in 2009.

Pittsburgh Chinese School is a very active member of The Chinese School Association in the United States, and The Chinese School Association in the United States maintains a very close relationship with the Chinese Communist Party, or probably directly listens to the CCP.

A random search led to the following results:

  • As recently as Apr 3 this year, a pro-CCP Chinese paper “The China Press” published a report about “offering multi-dimensional assistance” to the Chinese students in Philadelphia who were affected by the CCP virus pandemic. The initiative was started by the CCP’s Consulate General in New York to provide assistance to Chinese students who couldn’t go back to China because China had closed its borders. The report says the  Chinese Consulate will release relevant information and lists Chen Hong, the principal of Pittsburgh Chinese School as one of the contact persons for the initiative.

* In the 66 page QUARTERLY NEWSLETTER of  The Chinese School Association in 2017, the following items were listed as important news on the first page:

“The Chinese Consulate General in Houston Actively Promotes Chinese Language Education in Overseas Countries”.

“President Liu Shen Visits Consulate General of the People’s Republic of China in New York”

“President Liu Shen Attends the 40th Anniversary Celebration of Pittsburgh Chinese School “

“Report on the 40th Anniversary Celebration of Pittsburgh Chinese School “

  • The 55 page QUARTERLY NEWSLETTER in 2015 reported in detail the trip of 18 leaders of the Chinese School Association to China, mentioning how CCP officials in Beijing and Jiangxi province showed hospitality to the group.

It was especially mentioned that the group attended a series of activities to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the CCP’s regime.

  • In this post on Pittsburgh Chinese School’s website, it was reported that the Vice-Consul General Zhong Ruiming from the CCP’s Consulate General in New York especially flew to Pittsburgh on Oct 23, 2014, to meet representatives of local Chinese organizations.  The Principal and Vice-Chairperson of Pittsburgh Chinese School attended the meeting.

The Vice-Consul General promised at the meeting that China would send professionals to the Chinese school to do different training, seminars, and summer camps, etc, to provide a better learning environment for overseas people who are interested in learning Chinese culture.

Please note here, why would the CCP send teachers to overseas Chinese schools to be trained? Sounds strange, right? Shouldn’t overseas Chinese language teachers go to China to be trained instead? For me, this is actually a channel for the CCP to fund, or support the Chinese schools in the United States, as part of their “United Front Work” operation.

Former Chinese diplomat Chen Yonglin, who defected to Australia in 2005, once told me that the Chinese Consulate in Sydney would transfer money directly to the president of the Chinese Student Union. The president would use that money to organize activities, to hold the students together. And once the CCP needed them to do something, as such to welcome some visiting CCP leaders, to protest against some “anti-China” forces, these students could be organized very easily, as the ties had already been established.

There are many other reports or photos showing CCP’s consul general meeting leaders of  The Chinese School Association , or attending their activities, such as this one on the website of CCP’s Consulate General in Los Angeles, this one on the webiste of the CCP’s Embassy in the US, this one on the website of CCP’ s Consulate General in Chicago.

CCP’s most important mouthpiece Xinhua also reported about the Chinese School Association’s activity in 2018.

A post at the Chinese School Association’s Facebook page says that they have received notices from the Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of the State Council of China regarding the summer camp activities in Beijing. Overseas Chinese Affairs Office is directly in charge of CCP’s “United Front Work ”, which is CCP’s overseas infiltration and influence operation.

So from the above, we can clearly establish that Hao Gu was once a senior management member of Pittsburgh Chinese School.  And Pittsburgh Chinese School, as well as the Chinese School Association, have strong ties with the CCP. They even directly or indirectly receive financial support from the CCP.

Of course, these are NOT evidence to say that CCP has played any kind of role in Hao Gu’s murder of Bing Liu. We can only say that Hao Gu once had ties with the CCP.

However, if the police are really still investigating Liu’s death, I think it doesn’t hurt for them to know more facts and background surrounding the murderer.

OK, that’s all for today. Thank you for watching. YouTube just demonetized my channel without any explanation. So I need your help and support to keep my channel running. Please at least subscribe to my channel to show your support.

Thank you again. See you soon!

YouTube Takes Action Against Chinese Blogger’s Post On Coronavirus Origins

By Kenneth Rapoza

They warned you.

YouTube took demonetization actions against popular Chinese-American blogger Jennifer Zeng late last night, zapping a chance for her to collect a paycheck from her latest video outlining the origin stories surrounding the new SARS coronavirus first discovered in Wuhan.

“I’ve been warned before by YouTube and have always appealed,” she says from her home in the Greater New York area. “I’ve been warned by them on maybe 95% of my coronavirus videos. I just got this note last night and I wrote to them about it this morning,” she says.

Her site seems to have been fully demonetized going forward. She started posting about the virus more regularly in the last two months.

In the video, which has not been censored and is still available, Zeng reviews a story published on a Falun Gong website called Minghui. The authors used pen names, without usual surnames, suggesting they are writing from inside China. The paper is one of the enemies of the Chinese Communist Party, which likens the Falun Gong to an insurgency.

The video goes through a list of seven of the origination theories circulating among official circles and not Western conspiracies about it being a bioweapon manufactured by China.

However, it does note that weaponization was one of the origin stories the Chinese government used early on to deflect blame towards Washington. That origin story was put out by a Chinese military website and spread via social media, making headlines here at home. The article was taken down later. It does not seem to be part of the official China narrative anymore.

The writers of the Minghui report said they do not believe the bat coronavirus was manipulated in the Wuhan lab. This is worth noting because when leading scientists, including Dr. Anthony Fauci, say there is no evidence the virus was man-made, they mean there is no evidence of it being genetically modified. But that does not mean the virus in its natural state did not escape.

Fauci says there is no evidence of it escaping. There is also no evidence that it did not, as China is not sharing.

That the virus was not man-made but escaped a lab is shared not only by the Five Eyes intelligence collaborative of the U.S., U.K., Canada, New Zealand and Australia, but also by some Democrats.

“I don’t think it was spliced and diced in the Wuhan Institute of Virology,” says Jamie Metzl, a senior fellow at The Atlantic Council and a former senior official for both Bill Clinton and Joe Biden when he was a Senator. “But I do believe it escaped a lab, accidentally.”

Metzl’s view of the lab escape makes it more difficult to sum this up as merely anti-China, or pro-Trump sentiment. Metzl is not anti-China.

But what is most interesting from Zeng’s video is the notion that the animals used in experiments in the Wuhan Institute of Virology, a high level virology lab (P4 level) located around 8 miles from from wet market China first said was the source of the outbreak, were not properly handled post-experiment.

This may be, as Zeng says, a missing part of the puzzle and seems reasonable enough for anyone concerned with safety issues at China’s most important virology research center.

YouTube strips human rights activist Jennifer Zeng of income

Suggesting the origin of the coronavirus was China seems to be problematic for Google.

YouTube is executing its newly acquired, or rather, augmented censorship powers – banking on a world ill-prepared to fight back or even question anything much as it’s thrown into a frenzy over the coronavirus pandemic. And YouTube is doing its thing with the efficiency but also the bluntness of a chainsaw.

Knowingly or unknowingly challenge the ever-changing rules (for the worse, free speech-wise), strict, coordinated with various authorities – some elected, some not: and monetization of your videos/channels might go out the window just like that.

A Chinese dissident would probably be among the last you’d expect to be shocked by YouTube’s iron-fist rule over speech on its platform – but when Jennifer Zeng was informed that it had been “determined” her YouTube channel, “Inconvenient Truths,” would no longer be eligible for monetization, the tone of her announcement on Twitter showed that she had indeed been taken aback.

Zeng is a writer, human rights activist, free speech supporter, the author of “Witnessing history: One Woman’s Fight For Freedom and Falun Gong” and the main subject of award-winning documentary “Free China: the Courage To Believe.

The channel that’s now stripped of the ability to earn her money has lately been dedicated almost exclusively to the role the Chinese authorities, specifically, the country’s omnipotent Communist Party (CCP), have had in the coronavirus pandemic. In fact, she refers to the virus as “CCP virus,” signaling pretty strongly where her persuasions lie regarding the roots of this global controversy.

Zeng’s experiences are first-hand. Now based in New York, Zeng grew up in China and even spent time in a CCP labor camp.

To give you an idea of the content that YouTube has now quietly sidelined by stripping it of monetization opportunities, look no further than the screenshot Zeng posted on Twitter announcing the clampdown: her latest video was entitled, “Origin of the CCP virus: The missing piece of the puzzle.”

The piece of the puzzle left to solve regarding the case of YouTube and its behavior here is: why is the giant taking issue with content critical of the CCP so meticulously, going even after relatively small creators (Zeng’s channel has just over 15K subscribers)?

Is it a case of bad algorithms or biased human raters, i.e., editors? It’s a good bet we’ll never know. In response to one of her followers on Twitter, Zeng revealed that YouTube’s old MO is firmly in place, as she tweeted, “No reason was given (for the channel demonetization decision). Just a sentence suddenly appearing on the backend of my channel.”

“A sentence,” indeed. By a “court” nobody authorized, of a “state” nobody recognizes. YouTube, that is.
