An overseas Chinese recently said on social media that his friend was asked by someone from a state-owned enterprise to buy chips from overseas countries.

一名海外華人日前在社交媒體上分享說，他的朋友被某中共央企要求代購20枚日本產芯片。以下是這個帖子及其英文翻譯稿，和相關背景新聞資料。

An overseas Chinese recently said on social media that his friend was asked by someone from a state-owned enterprise to buy chips from overseas countries.

The post says, “Overseas Chinese mobilized to buy chips [for the CCP]? Today, a friend of mine was contacted by personnel from a Chinese central level state-owned enterprise, and was asked to buy 20 pieces of Japanese chips. My friend worried that this would break the law. The person in China tried to reassure him by saying that the chips would only be used for civil purposes, on cameras only. It was only because their previous suppliers were banned from selling chips to China that he had to ask my friend to buy chips.

“I was very surprised upon learning this news. It turns out that China cannot even produce camera chips, and has to import Japanese ones. They are trying to launch a people-ocean tactic, like having many ants moving things. If one overseas Chinese buys 20 chips, putting all these chips together, that will be a large amount . I would like to advise all overseas Chinese to obey the local laws and not to be greedy for small profits.”

Early last year, when entire China was under lockdown, and overseas countries still didn’t know much about the CCP virus (COVID19) pandemic, the CCP mobilized overseas Chinese people to stockpile masks, resulting in a world wide shortage.

A video of a Chinese woman excitedly sharing and boasting about her experiences of buying all the face masks in several different supermarkets in Florida was widely circulated on the Internet last year.

After the US imposed a ban on China’s top chipmaker from using American technology, Chinese companies including Huawei have run out of their processors.

When my late father was on business trips, he liked to collect some strange things, such as this replica of “Along the River During the Qingming Festival”, which was painted on a tree bark from some unknown era. When my mother visited me in Australia from China in 2009, she brought it to me. I’ve kept it at home for many years and finally hung it up today.

父親生前出差時，常常喜歡收羅些奇奇怪怪的東西，比如這幅不知什麼年代的仿真的《清明上河圖》，畫在樹皮上的。母親2009年從大陸到澳洲去看我時，專門給我捎出來的。我存在家裏許多年，今天終於把它掛出來了。

There was another time when my father went to Northeast China on a business trip, when I had just started a family and had a humble nest. We built a small kitchen opposite the nest that was an “illegal building”, with no heating, no water , and no sewage inside…… Then when my father visited me in Beijing after he finished his business trip to a city in Northeast China. He brought me a big heavy chopping block. It was a complete round section cut from a huge tree trunk. It must have taken at least a hundred years for a tree to grow that big. It was absolutely durable and would not break no matter how hard you chopped things on it, unlike those thin chopping boards made of plastic or wood chips nowadays ……

Hello, everyone, welcome to “Inconvenient Truths”. I am your host Jennifer Zeng.

We know from early this year, the situation in Taiwan Strait has been very intense. British magazine The Economist even published a cover story with the title “The most dangerous place on Earth”, saying that Taiwan is the most dangerous place on Earth.” A few days ago, on July 5, Japan’s deputy prime minister Taro Aso said that Japan needed to defend Taiwan together with the US. This was a very unusual move from the Japanese side. So how has the CCP responded? Today I will share with you some unique content I found and then deleted by the CCP. I will also talk about what I think regarding the situation.

Before we move on, please make sure you subscribe to, and share my channel if you haven’t. Someone left such a comment yesterday:  “Your videos are excellent with a lot of insights. I always learn a thing or two from these. ” Then he asked why the world did not take notice of the things I discuss. So I think I do need your help to get more exposure.

The CCP Vows to Nuke Japan

Now, let’s move to our topic today. 

First of all, I want to share with you two short video clips that I downloaded and translated from a popular Chinese military channel called “Liu Jun Tao Lue (六军韬略)”, which can be roughly translated as “Wisdom & Strategies for 6 Armies”. 

Why “6 armies”? Because the CCP has 6 military regions that cover the entire China. So this channel offers “Wisdom and strategies” to all of them. 

Wang Hongguang,  former deputy commander of the CCP’s army,  PLA’s  Nanjing Military Region once published his article at this channel’s account. So we can say this channel either belongs to the PLA, or has strong ties with the PLA. 

It is a relatively new channel at a Chinese video sharing site called Xigua Video(西瓜視頻).  Xigua  means Watermelon. It has about 2 million subscribers.   Its first video was published on Nov 22 last year. That video has already got more than 20 million views. 

Now, let’s watch the first video, in which the host vows to nuke Japan until it surrenders. Please make sure you read the English titles added by me: 

 When we liberate Taiwan, if Japan dares to intervene by force, even if it only deploys one soldier, one plane and one ship, we will not only return reciprocal fire, but also start a full-scale war against Japan. We will use nuclear bombs first. We will use nuclear bombs continuously until Japan declares unconditional surrender for the second time.

What we want to target is Japan’s ability to endure a war. As long as Japan realizes that it cannot afford to pay the price of war, it will not dare to rashly send troops to the Taiwan Strait.

In 1964, when our first atomic bomb was successfully detonated, we promised the world that we would not use atomic bombs against non-nuclear countries and that we would not be the first to use them.

Nearly 60 years have passed. Although the strength of our nuclear deterrent has been somewhat affected, this decision has been a success and has safeguarded our peace when we built our country.

Now the international situation has changed dramatically. Our country is in the midst of a major change that has not been seen in a century, and all political policies, tactics and strategies must be adjusted and changed in the midst of such a major change. In order to protect the peaceful rise of our country, it is necessary to make limited adjustments to our nuclear policy.

We solemnly put forward the “Japan Exception Theory”.

In modern history, Japan has taken the initiative to harm the Chinese people many times, including the First Sino-Japanese War in 1894-1895, when it took over Taiwan and made us pay more than 230 million taels of silver in reparations, and the War of Invasion of China of 1931-1945, when more than 35 million Chinese were killed and wounded. Japan has not taken a serious stand in acknowledging the atrocities committed against China.

If Japan goes to war with China for the third time, the Chinese people will take revenge on the old and the new scores.

Japan is the only country in the world that has been hit by atomic bombs and has a deep memory of the atomic bombs from the government down to the people. And it takes the United States, which nuked it, lying down.

It is exactly because Japan has such a unique feeling that nuclear deterrence against Japan will get twice the result with half the effort.

By singling out Japan as an “exception” to our commitment not to use or be the first to use nuclear weapons in the world, Japan is an “exception”, we are warning Japan and informing the world that if Japan interferes militarily in our domestic affairs, including the unification of Taiwan by the mainland, nuclear weapons will surely be used against Japan, and will be used continuously until its unconditional surrender. There will be no peace talks in the meantime, and we will take back the Diaoyu Islands and the Ryukyu Islands. We will either manage them or let them be independent.

When I translated this video on Tuesday, July 13, I found that the original video in Chinese was uploaded on Monday, July 12, and had already received over 2.37 M views, 11K comments and 88K likes.  

However, yesterday I found it was taken down. Interesting, right?

Anyway, these are my initial takeaways after I watched this clip.

First of all, the threat to nuke Japan continuously until it surrenders.  That must be the first thing that everyone will take notice of when watching it. 

Second, it proposes a “Japan Exception Theory”, which means although we once promised that we wouldn’t use nuclear weapons first, or use it against non-nuclear countries, but Japan can be an exception, or Japan can be excluded from our promise, because Japan has hurt China terribly before. 

So you see the logic? If they can exclude Japan from their promise today, tomorrow they can find another excuse to exclude Taiwan, or India, or Australia, or any other countries they want to nuke. And then one day they will declare that their promise made 60 years ago is a “historical, old document” that is no longer valid today. 

This was what the CCP did exactly with their promise to Hong Kong when they took back Hong Kong from the UK in 1997. They promised to allow Hong Kong to keep its social system and way of life for at least 50 years. 

However, after only some 20 years, the CCP claimed that the Sino-British Joint Declaration about Hong Kong is a “historical document” that is no longer valid. 

The third take away from the video is that it says because Japan is the only country in the world that has been hit by atomic bombs, so it has a deep memory of the atomic bombs from the government down to the people. And it takes the United States, which nuked it, lying down.

Frankly speaking, I was so shocked by this kind of mentality: trampling on a nation’s deepest scar that still hurts to achieve its sinister purpose, and proudly talking about this without any sense of shame.

 Eliminate Japan and Divide It into 4 Countries

 Now, I have something more shocking to show you. Let’s watch another clip for the same channel. Please make sure you read the English subtitles.

 First, when creating pre-war strategy, we need to set two main directions of attack, namely, Taiwan and mainland Japan. Taiwan will the main direction of attack, but we can switch the direction to mainland Japan at any time.

In the case of non-use of nuclear weapons, we need to seize the opportunity to shift the main direction of attack, in fact, we need to set Japan as the main direction of attack before the war. Deploy the military forces towards Japan, and under this premise, we cover Taiwan at the same time. Attacking Japan is the main deployment. Start with Taiwan, culminate in Japan with full force, and end with Japan’s surrender.

Second, the counterattack against Japan cannot be limited to the Ryukyu Islands and the southwestern islands of Japan. We must set the four islands of mainland Japan as our strategic target, because our strategic gaol is the annihilation of Japan, just as at the end of World War II, when Japan declared unconditional surrender. So the war against Japan is on “unlimited conditions”, an “unlimited war”. We’ll use all means of war, including tactical nuclear weapons and strategic nuclear weapons.

Third, we’ll joint force with Russia and North Korea. Three arrows (countries) shoot together to hit the Japanese mainland in thoroughly and in full depth.

Fourth, the first war will be the final war, even with non-nuclear conventional war, we will beat Japan all the same.

Fifth, our national will for war, our national mobilization system and war tolerance will crush Japan’s will for war. If Japan attacks China in order to split up Taiwan from out country , it will surely stir up our national righteous indignation, and give the Chinese people an opportunity to take revenge and avenge.

Japan’s participation in the war will block the completion of our great cause of unification, and will certainly hinder the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation. In the face of such resistance, we will surely once again mobilize the whole nation to fight against Japan. We will mobilize the whole nation and shift to the wartime mechanism, mobilize the entire force of our nation, sacrifice bravely, infinitely escalate the war form ultimately to the nuclear war, and resolutely destroy Japan.

Sixth, after defeating Japan, we must take more severe measures than in World War II to partition Japan and completely eliminate the root causes of the war by dividing the four Japanese islands into four independent states that do not belong to each other. According to the wishes of the people of each island, each island should establish its own national political institutions, and under the supervision of China and Russia, each should formulate its own Peace Constitution, and each of the four countries should be placed under the administration of China and Russia, with China and Russia stationing troops, and the Ryukyu Islands should be separated from Japan and placed under the administration of China or become an independent state.

Again, I was so shocked that this video openly claims that the CCP should resolutely eliminate Japan as a country, divide it into 4 states, and put them under the administration of China and Russia, etc. And the method is to mobilize the entire nation to wage an “unlimited war”, ultimately, a nuclear war,  against Japan.

There is another very ridiculous claim in the original 9-minute Chinese video that I didn’t include in the short video you just watched, and the claim is, after the CCP eliminates Japan, Japan’ current Prime Minister Yoshihide Suga, former Prime Minister Shinzo Abe and current deputy prime minister Taro Aso should all be punished as war criminals. 

I really cannot work out the logic here. The CCP “eliminates” Japan by dropping endless nuclear bombs on Japan, but Japanese leaders should be punished as war criminals instead of the CCP leaders?

Well, since I uploaded these two short videos on Twitter, they have received a lot of views and retweets. 

And you know what? The two original videos on the Chinese Xigua site were deleted yesterday. I don’t know whether the CCP deleted them because of me translating and exposing them. As far as I am concerned, the statements in these two videos are anti-humanity and evil beyond words. Maybe some of the CCP guys also realized that these two videos would make the CCP look very bad, so they took them down.

It was lucky that I had downloaded one of the two deleted videos, and somebody else the other one. So I have uploaded them to my other channel called “Inconvenient Truths-First Hand From China”. I think it is important that we keep these as evidence of the CCP’s anti-humanity mentality. So people can watch them to see that I didn’t make anything up. I cut 2-minute content out of the 5 and 9-minute ones, and I just chose the most important parts.

Well, some people might argue that these two videos are not the CCP’s official ones, but just created by a “private” military channel.

Again, I must stress that in CCP’s China, there is not such a thing as a “private sector”. Everything has to be permitted and allowed by the CCP to be able to exist in CCP’s China and Chinese websites. 

A search with my name in Chinese 曾铮 at Baidu won’t get any result of me.

For example, if you search my name in Chinese on CCP’s search engine Baidu, you get quite a lot of people with the same name as me showing up. But none of them is me. I don’t exist on  Chinese websites at all.

A search with my Chinese name on Google shows  all the top results are about me.

However, if you search with my Chinese name on Google,  all the top results are about me, if you search with Duckduckgo, about half of the top results are my articles or reports about me.

So my point is, whether the channel is the CCP’s official channel or not, the fact that a high level CCP commander, CCP general chose it to publish his article, that it can exist in China, it can attract 2 million subscribers, its videos can have millions or tens of millions of views and tens of thousand likes, etc,  shows that the channel either belongs to CCP’s army, or has strong ties, or the CCP at least allows it, and approves of it. 

Also, let’s look at this matter from another angle. In CCP’s China, with all the media, schools, textbooks, information flow, and even art performances, etc, all controlled by the CCP, where do people’s thoughts and ideas come from? The CCP, right? 

So the thoughts expressed in the two videos we just watched came exactly from the CCP, or reflect the CCP’s mindset.

The CCP’s Official Threats

Actually, after Taro Aso said that Japan needed to defend Taiwan together with the US, the CCP’s official responses have been very tough too. The CCP’s spokesperson Zhao Lijian said that Taro Aso’s comments are  “extremely wrong and dangerous” , “We will never allow any country in any way to interfere in the Taiwan issue and nobody should underestimate the Chinese people’s strong determination, will and ability to safeguard our national sovereignty.”

Also, we shouldn’t forget that at the grand celebration of the CCP’s 100th birthday on July 1, Xi Jinping recently  warned “foreign forces” that they will have their heads broken and shed blood if they dare to upset the CCP . 

So, what I want to say is that the ideas expressed in the two short videos are no doubt the CCP’s. 

The CCP’s Long Term Strategy 

As a matter of fact, many years ago, around 2005, I heard from two different sources about the CCP’s global long-term strategy. One source is Chen Yonglin,  CCP’s former political consul at the Chinese consulate in Sydney, who defected to Australia in 2005. Another source is Yuan Hongbin, a former law professor at Peking University, who escaped from China to Australia in 2004. 

So, the basic idea is, the CCP has long since realized that it had no ability to resolve the political, social, economical and financial problems inside China at all. So the only way out is to declare war against Taiwan to bring the nation to an emergency state. 

Under a wartime emergency state, the CCP can do many things that it cannot do in normal times, such as freeze people’s assets, including foreigners’ and foreign businesses’ assets in China. So a wartime status is the only way out for the CCP.

And how did this affect the CCP’s global foreign policies? If a war is declared against Taiwan, the CCP believes the US and Japan are the two countries that they have to deal with. In other words, the US and Japan are “enemies” that the CCP don’t think they can win over.

As for other countries, the CCP’s policy was to try to get them to at least stay “neutral” when the CCP declares war against Taiwan.  The method to win them over was to infiltrate and influence these countries through political, economical and even cultural channels. 

For Australia especially, the CCP wanted to turn it into one of its puppets. And they had a special term for the countries that surround China. They call them “countries at our greater border”. So subconsciously, the CCP regards the countries surrounding China as part of a “broader China”. 

So, that was more than 10 years ago. 

From what we’ve been seeing since then, I think the strategy that Chen Yonglin and Yuan Hongbin revealed is indeed the CCP’s strategy. Of course the CCP must have been adjusting their strategies as time goes, but the overall trend looks real to me. Aren’t we hearing more and more about CCP’s intention to “unify” or “liberate Taiwan”? Maybe we are closer and closer to the day when the CCP thinks it should start a war. 

There are also many people who say that the CCP would never dare to invade Taiwan, or start a war, and the CCP’s army is very corrupt, and is also a Tofu project that doesn’t have any combat ability, etc. 

I do agree with the view that the CCP’s army is very corrupt, and incapable, especially since many soldiers are the only child of their families, so the combat ability is really very questionable. Also, any normal country, normal government in the world would not think about starting a nuclear war that could bring unbearable consequences to all.

The problem is, the CCP is not a normal political party, or a normal regime. It doesn’t follow the logic and rationale of our civilized world. 

In the Chinese language circle, we have a saying to describe the CCP,  “There are only things that you are incapable of thinking of, there is nothing that the CCP is incapable of doing.” 

So, please bear this in mind whenever you try to think about anything that is related to the CCP.

By singling out Japan as an “exception” to our commitment not to use or be the first to use nuclear weapons in the world, Japan is an “exception”, we are warning Japan and informing the world that if Japan interferes militarily in our domestic affairs, including the unification of Taiwan by the mainland, nuclear weapons will surely be used against Japan, and will be used continuously until its unconditional surrender. There will be no peace talks in the meantime, and we will take back the Diaoyu Islands and the Ryukyu Islands. We will either manage them or let them be independent.

Hello, everyone, welcome to “Inconvenient Truths”. I am your host Jennifer Zeng.

A few days ago, Reuters reported that “China’s gene giant harvests data from millions of women”.  People may have wondered: Why would it do so? What can the company do with the data? Today I will show you a video of a speech made by the director of this company in 2017, as well as two earlier speeches by the CCP’s Defense Minister Chi Haotian, to give you an idea of what could be done with the data it harvested, and why the world should feel very scared.

Basically Wang Jian, the director of this company called BGI, said back in 2017 that in the next 5-10 years, they can create any life with chemical methods. The progress of artificial life could be faster than artificial intelligence.  He also talked about how humankind is experiencing rapid and earthshaking change from transgenics, gene editing, to gene synthesis. He talked about “industrial level gene synthesis” , and how they can create bacteria in just 2 days,  and they can create both good and terrible ones, etc. 

He also mentioned the creation of a virus, and how the human being’s warfare has evolved from cold weapon, hot weapon, atomic bomb to live weapon, which is, bioweapon, etc.

An official report about the 2017 China Shenzhen Business and Global Dragon Business Conference.

This speech was made on Dec 26, 2017, at the 2017 China Shenzhen Business and Global Dragon Business Conference. This is an official report about that conference. Let’s quickly see a few pictures. So, that was in 2017, and Wang Jian, as one of the important speakers in the conference, openly and proudly talked about creating lives, viruses, bacteria, good and terrible ones, in this bioweapon era, and how many basic gene groups they could process in a day, etc.

Man Beaten Up After Exposing BGI’s Problems

Then, from 2018 to 2020, there are quite a few reports that a staff member called Wang Deming at China’s National GeneBank’s Operation Center in Jiangsu Province reported with his real name about some problems with BGI, including that BGI had bribed officials to illegally gain state land to do real estate development, and that BGI had edited the genes of at least 58 babies, and intended to engage in creating “customized humans”, etc. 

But BGI had quickly denied all the allegations, and sued Wang Deming. 

There were also reports about Wang Deming being threatened and even beaten up very badly in 2020, with his cell phone being robbed. So these are his medical reports, showing that 4 of his ribs were broken. His head, heart and lungs all suffered damages, and he had been hospitalized for 8 days when he posted these images, etc.  The medical report was issued on Nov 2, 2020.

BGI Collects Genetic Data From “Millions” around the World

If we only read these, we might think, oh, it’s a China thing. What do these have to do with us?

Well, now, let’s see this Reuters report published only a few days ago, on July 7. 

The report says, “A Chinese gene company selling prenatal tests around the world developed them in collaboration with the country’s military and is using them to collect genetic data from millions of women for sweeping research on the traits of populations”.  

Well, “A Chinese gene company” here is exactly BGI. The video we just watched is a speech by its director Wang Jian in 2017.

Reuters’ report says, “ U.S. government advisors warned in March that a vast bank of genomic data that the company, BGI Group, is amassing and analyzing with artificial intelligence could give China a path to economic and military advantage. As science pinpoints new links between genes and human traits, access to the biggest, most diverse set of human genomes is a strategic edge. The technology could propel China to dominate global pharmaceuticals, and also potentially lead to genetically enhanced soldiers, or engineered pathogens to target the U.S. population or food supply.”

“Reuters has found that BGI’s prenatal test, one of the most popular in the world, is a source of genetic data for the company, which has worked with the Chinese military to improve ‘population quality’ and on genetic research to combat hearing loss and altitude sickness in soldiers.”

“So far, more than 8 million women have taken BGI’s prenatal tests globally. BGI has not said how many of the women took the test abroad, and said it only stores location data on women in mainland China.” 

“The scale of BGI’s accumulation of prenatal data, and its collaboration with the military in prenatal and neonatal research, have not been previously reported. The company has published at least a dozen joint studies on the tests with the People’s Liberation Army (PLA) since 2010, trialling and improving the tests or analyzing the data they provided”.

“DNA data collected from prenatal tests on women outside China has also been stored in China’s government-funded gene database, one of the world’s largest… BGI, in which the Shenzhen city government and Beijing’s largest state investment vehicle took stakes in 2014, runs that gene bank.”

 “Beijing made clear in a 2019 regulation that genetic data can be a national security matter, and since 2015 it has restricted foreign researchers from accessing gene data on Chinese people. In contrast, the United States and Britain give foreign researchers access to genetic data, as part of open science policies.”

 Reuters also says, “The findings offer new insight into how BGI is using vast computing power to unlock genomic secrets. Previously, Reuters revealed how the company rapidly expanded its gene-sequencing labs globally and gained a role in other nations’ health systems, and how it worked with China’s military on research ranging from mass testing for respiratory  pathogens to brain science.” 

 Reuters says that BGI tests are marketed in at least 13 European Union countries, including Germany, Spain and Denmark, as well as in Britain, Canada, Australia, Thailand, India and Pakistan. They are not sold in the United States, but is a pivotal player in a genomics race between China and the United States. 

 The  data collected by BGI offer insight into foreign populations as well as China’s own. Computer instructions that BGI uses to process the data show it collects a wide range of information about customers besides their genetic code. This includes the women’s country, medical history and the sex of the fetus, etc.

Reuters also reported that “BGI shot to global prominence last year after selling or donating millions of COVID-19 test kits and gene-sequencing labs outside China. U.S. security agencies warned this was part of an effort to collect large amounts of foreign genetic material. BGI said this year it has built 80 COVID-19 labs in 30 countries, which it plans to repurpose for reproductive health screening.”

Reuters also showed screenshots that show “inside BGI’s offices in mainland China, huge screens update in real time as samples harvested from the tests of pregnant Chinese women are uploaded to the China National GeneBank…The screens also show the location of the women.” 

Reuters also says that at least 500 women who have taken the test, including some outside China, are stored in the government-funded China National GeneBank.

 A report to the U.S. Director of National Intelligence by science and medical experts warned last year that large genomic datasets can be used to design disease therapies, yet they also expose genetic vulnerabilities in a population; an adversary could exploit a susceptibility to disease in a targeted genetic attack. 

 Reuters reports that as BGI’s testing has grown, so has its secondary research. Two years ago, BGI researchers wrote in a scientific paper that they had re-analyzed 1.93 million tests processed in BGI labs between 2016 and 2017.

Reuters says that BGI has re-used data of most of the tests it processed to do secondary research.

 BGI researchers wrote in a 2018 scientific paper published in Cell that “for more than a decade, scientists worldwide have searched for a cost-effective way to study the genetic profiles of a whole population of people. A handful of efforts reached tens of thousands of participants, but anything larger stalled on cost and logistics.  Left-over samples and test data from prenatal tests meant BGI could run studies on an unprecedented scale.”

So, from this, we can understand why massive data is so important to BGI. 

The Reuters also says that the BGI researchers were also able to trace genetic distinctions between the China’s dominant Han Chinese ethnic group and minorities including Uyghurs and Tibetans,  and look at population movements and intermarriage caused by Chinese government policy since 1949. 

This data was later released to other Chinese researchers studying how “significantly different” genetic variations in Uyghurs affected their response to drugs.

 Well, these are some of the facts reported by Reuters a few days ago.

 Now, if we look at these facts and what BGI’s director Wang Jian said in 2017, we will have a better idea of what they could be doing.

 First of all, we need to bear in mind that in China, there is no such a  thing as a “private sector”, especially when it comes to important issues such as national security and technical edge over other countries. 

From Wang Jian’s speech, we can learn that the CCP knows very well that we are in a bioweapon era, and the CCP scientists are dreaming about creating lives, including viruses, bacteria, and “customized humans” with “chemical methods.” They believe lives are just combinations of genes and chemical materials, so they think if they have enough information about genes, they can create any life.

 CCP Defense Minister : “Cleaning up America” with Biological Weapons

 If they can “create” lives with “chemical methods”, how about destroying lives with the same method?

As early as between 2003 and 2005, two secret speeches made by the CCP’s Defense Minister Chi Haotian were widely circulated on the Internet. 

The titles of these two speeches are: “The War Is Coming to Us” and “The War Is Not Far from Us; It Is the Midwife of the Chinese Century.”

In these speeches, apart from advocating war for “the Chinese Century,” Chi also discussed the reasons behind it. He allegedly claimed that in order to gain more living space for the Chinese nation, and for the CCP to maintain its ruling status, it must “lead the Chinese people to go out of China, and to expand the development to overseas countries.”

By “going out”, Chi Haotian meant “clear the land of America” and have their own people take over America. 

He said in his speech, “Would the United States allow us to go out to gain new living space? ” 

Then he said, “We are not as foolish as to want to perish together with America by using nuclear weapons. Only by using non-destructive weapons that can kill many people will we be able to reserve America for ourselves.”

The answer is found in biological weapons.

He said, “Of course, we have not been idle. In the past years, we have seized the opportunity to master weapons of this kind.”

Actually, the CCP considers biological weapons to be the most important weapons for accomplishing their goal of “cleaning up America.” 

Chi Haotian credits former CCP leader Deng Xiaoping with putting biological weapons ahead of all other weapon systems in the Chinese arsenal: “When Comrade Xiaoping was still with us, the Party Central Committee had the version to make the right decision not to develop aircraft carrier groups and focus instead on developing lethal weapons that can eliminate mass populations of the enemy country.”

 He also said, “In the long run, the relationship between China and the United States is one of a life-and-death struggle…We must not forget that the history of our civilization repeatedly has taught us that one mountain does not allow two tigers to live together.”

 Well, when those speeches were leaked in 2003 and 2005, nobody in the West paid much attention, as it was hard to verify whether they were true or not.

However, as a Chinese who understands the Chinese language and the CCP’s language, I didn’t doubt that they were indeed the speeches of a CCP general. 

Only I never expected that 17 years later, the world would be devastated by a virus called COVID19.

前些天第一次在現實世界中見到一位臉書朋友，他熱情洋溢地向我宣講他的計劃和理想，我一直在聽，基本什麼也沒說。

兩三天後，他突然對我說，這次見到我真人，我的形像在他心目中比原來更加「高大」了起來。我問：爲什麼？

他說，原以爲我會像其他法輪功學員一樣，見了面就滔滔不絕地向他宣講法輪功，拉他「入夥」，哪知多次交談後，我一字未提法輪功，讓他覺得我修爲境界不一般，心很靜……

咦，是這樣啊？（我本以爲，他是說是因爲我救國救民了呢……）

我爲何一字未提呢？因爲我知道對於法輪功，他的了解已經比許多人深入多了，那我還有啥可提的？

……………………

數日後，這位朋友突然主動要求我給他講講法輪功，或者說，回答他關於法輪功的兩個深刻的疑問。於是，我花了一兩個小時給他從頭講到尾，都還沒有講完……

其實，之前的交談中，每當他談到他的迷茫，他對現實的失望，及一次次被放在「十字路口」的煎熬，我的心中都升起無限的憐惜，我都想告訴他，我所找到的答案，及找到時的驚喜，以及現在，面對亂世的心定。

但我一次次忍住了沒說，直到他主動要求……

都是從「無明」的苦和掙扎中過來的。開始找了，這就是希望。

I was going to write down these thoughts in my unfinished article “Driving Across America For the 3rd Time”. I’ve even put “To be continued” at the end of it. But then I couldn’t continue writing because the only useful sentence in that article was “Why? Because there is a ball of fire in my heart.” And yet, this “ball of fire” was not kindled by my journey across America.
What fire was it? It was depression, anger and extreme anxiety!
The nefarious Chinese Communist Party (CCP) has deprived the Chinese of all normal living space and created generations of grievances. In the first of half of my life, it destroyed my home and shattered my family, and I had gone through the cruelest torture imaginable. Now towards the dusk of my life, I’ve been forced into living in exile.
I am so grateful to the amazing United States of America which took me in, gave me shelter and ended my horror of living in the ubiquitous presence of harm-doers. For this, I profoundly thank America and see her as the true motherland of our minds and hearts!
To us, America has always been the brightest lighthouse for freedom and democracy. I had always believed that the most excelling and civil people of the world are all in America, who possess free wills and democratic rights to their fullest extent. America’s rule of law protects every law-abiding citizen at all times and freedom of speech is thoroughly exercised while those in power are strictly monitored. America’s entrepreneurs and politicians are striving for justice and conscience, evil powers such as the CCP can never find a foothold in America!
Then after I came here, I had a reality check: this version of America that I pictured in my head, only belongs to the past. Today’s America has become a net full of holes under the fierce attacks by the CCP.
Let’s take a look: from America’s highest-ranking politicians to its economic core Wall Street; from the mainstream media to the top scientific research institutes; from America’s landmark cultural representatives Hollywood and NBA to its church and commerce associations; from the Americans’ thoughts and ideologies to their daily consumption of products — on all of these, we can see the shadow of the CCP’s infiltration.
The CCP’s Trojan horse has been openly striking in almost all aspects of the American society. Anti-CCP dissidents are being assaulted and threatened as if they are still in China, even their right to purchase guns for self-defense is restricted. I suddenly realize that in America, we do not have more means to defend ourselves.
I watched with my own eyes large groups of CCP commissioners driving up in fancy cars to celebrate the anniversary of the Establishment of the People’s Republic of China (PRC) in the most luxurious hotels; they cursed and gave middle fingers at the protesters against them. And yet, American local government officials and congresspeople gladly attended their banquets, while their thugs brazenly threatened Chinese democracy advocates living in exile in America.
I watched with my own eyes Hong Kong pro-democracy protesters being beaten up by pro-CCP Chinese “patriots”, yet the protesters were reprimanded by the police, who did nothing to punish the assailants.
I have experienced it myself: my car was burned and my cell phone was hacked. Yet long after having filed police reports, nothing has been done about my cases！
In China, what we say could bring us prison terms and various forms of persecution. But in today’s America — leader of the Free World — censorship and wanton suppression of speech imposed by big tech companies is omnipresent, unbridled and publicly accepted. Back in China, my WeChat and Weibo accounts were shut down numerous times; in America, I had to quit Twitter in a rage. On Facebook, I often receive warnings for my posts and any day now my account could be banned.
Yesterday, renowned journalist Jennifer Zeng told me that her Facebook page had been shut down for over a year and yet she has had no recourse to gain justice. I was shocked. Where is the rule of law in America? Has America fallen so far that people can do nothing against these infernal powers?
Some friends said to me, “Even the former president of the United States Trump is banned by these authoritarian big tech companies, what can you do against them?” Yes, how many of us all over the world feel these words profoundly, and feel their disappointment in America?
During the past 6 months, I experienced the CCP’s open and blatant infiltration into the American politics, and my life was threatened for exposing it.
During my road trip from the West Coast to the East Coast, I was indeed assaulted twice on the highway (dash cam record files are too large and difficult to upload; they will be published after processing).
What means do we have to protect ourselves? Some people say, “Sue them.” Yes, but lawsuits are time-consuming, costly and exhausting. If we have to depend on lawsuits to simply protect our lives, that is a very sad state that the Free World is in.
We see that America is going through a strange change that has turned it into something that we can barely recognize. The riots, burning and looting committed by the Black Lives Matter were endorsed by the country’s top politicians who even knelt down to support them. Now robbery and looting of stores in some big cities has become part and parcel of their daily life. Whenever there is a protest, shops would bar their doors and windows with wood panels — such scenes that we used to only expect to see during wartimes, has become the new norm in America.
I remember taking a flight that got cancelled four times yet no arrangements were made to accommodate the passengers. I had to spend all those nights at the airport. One of the flights took 24 hours. Yet no explanation was ever made. Which airline elsewhere in the world would let this happen? Recently I read in the news that the American airline companies cannot find enough employees therefore the flights were all cancelled. This was such a laughable excuse – the largest airline companies in America are unable to find enough people to hire? Not to mention using that to defend lowered quality of service and treating the passengers in such a terrible manner, how is that not strange? Is this the new “normal” America? They say it is all because of the virus — so the CCP virus changed Americans’ sense of justice and conscience?
And I was not the only one who encountered similar situations. Just a few weeks ago my friend’s flight was canceled and she had to spend the night at the airport as well — and she suffers from severe anemia and other health conditions.
People say, “Why don’t you sue them?” Here we are back where we started. When you have just been through an ordeal then you must embark on another long, difficult journey. Perhaps this is why the majority of Americans choose to stay silent? Ordinary people do not have the wealth or energy to deal with lawsuits. Perhaps that is why the world is often sadly kidnapped by darkness.
I have left California and may never return. I believe that is the best choice for me. On the way to the East Coast I saw several cars with California license plates with luggage in their trunks. I thought, maybe they were like me, fleeing California. Near Pennsylvania I saw an elderly white lady driving with all her possessions like I was. What anger has driven her to uproot her life and come all this way here?
When I first flew back to California last month, my friend came to pick me up at the airport. I asked her how she was. She said during the two weeks that I was away, two major things occurred in their Airbnbs. The first was a guest who lodged with them harassed all female guests, including the cleaner in her 50s and her 12-year-old daughter. I asked if she reported it to the police, she said “You think they’d do anything about it?” I could only sigh. Soon after this harassment ended, another Airbnb was broken into and robbed. Not only the residing guest’s computer and possessions were all taken, even the landlord’s little tool shed for storage was ransacked and cleared out. My friend said, “All the valuables that I’ve brought from China were stolen, and the most devastating is that all memorabilia got robbed as well.” They told me that the victims believed the thieves responsible for it were the three hispanic men living at the Airbnb, as they appeared to be professional criminals. They were still staying there even when the police came.
The next day, when I went to say goodbye to another friend, he said, “After we’re done here with our work, we will leave California for good as well.” The reason? Because their residential area that has been the safest community for decades, has had over a dozen heavy offense cases just recently.
This reminded me of the 76 thousand criminals released by the California governor Newson; reminded me of Los Angeles’ new district attorney’s first act after taking office to abolish cash bails for defendants; reminded me the Democratic Party’s topman Soros who claimed to build a global government at the Davos Forum; and reminded me of the radical left in the States trying to defund the police, giving a criminal suspect national burial and making him a hero for an entire year.
It seems that some villainous people who hate America are attempting to destroy America!
Some people with a sense of justice say, no, this cannot continue. We must awaken the Americans. But the question is, how?
In the past few weeks I had some profound exchanges with a few American caucasians. When talking about the CCP’s evil doings, my friend J asked me, why do they do this? For money, or power? I told him, sometimes, there is no reason for what they do, it is simply an inertia of habitually acting egregious. He could not understand. I know that Americans receive a rational education. They cannot comprehend the viciousness of unbridled and inflated power, and cannot even imagine that being evil sometimes is merely a need and a “hobby”. Therefore he could not recognize the evils that are occurring here. Not because they are stupid; it’s because of the immense difference between our two cultures. We think we need to awaken them, but they feel that they have been awake.
Another American friend that I had a deep conversation with was G. He understands what happened in the Tiananmen Massacre and used to be a supporter of the democratic movement. I was impressed by his rational and clear thinking when talking to him. However, his wife told me that he only reads “mainstream media” now. After I had left, he was nervous that being associated with me might bring them trouble from the CCP. Even Americans in America are scared of CCP harassment. Why is this happening? (In my original article I observed some more shocking facts but to protect their privacy I decided to cut some of the details out here.)
G said he used to go to church when he was young but stopped once he grew up. His wife told me that most Americans do not attend church anymore after they become adults. Perhaps that is the problem?
On Route 68 in Ohio, I came across an incident. A pickup truck suddenly slowed down in front of me and honked, which is rare and impolite in America. As it turned out, an SUV was in his way. After the SUV moved out of the lane, the pickup truck accelerated sharply spewing a cloud of dark smoke. Then I saw the elderly white driver of the SUV sticking out his middle finger to the pickup truck cursing. I started paying attention to the surroundings along the highway trying to find a church and couldn’t find any for 30 minutes.
This reminded me of another experience while passing through Missouri. I saw the Gateway Arch from afar and wanted to take a closer look. As soon as I got off the highway, I saw nothing but abandoned buildings. Their structure shows that these buildings used to be high-end residential housing. Why were they abandoned? And in such a large amount? I saw no cars along the entire way. Then after I turned a corner, two cars showed up and weirdly, they both quickly pulled over and stopped by the roadside as soon as they spotted me. Then I realized I came into an area that I shouldn’t have, and rapidly I left. Entering the highway again I saw one building still in use, a church — the only building with human lives still active in it. Are they persisting? It felt like a Hollywood disaster film, where the faith is keeping its final ground struggling for its last breath; like a lone tree standing in the middle of a desert.
While passing by Indiana the highway was blocked and I had to turn off it to gas up the car. At the gas station suddenly several young men with tattoos on their noses, of both white and black, showed up. They were obviously drunk and talking very noisily, behaving in a very brusque manner, appearing to be gangsters. I immediately took out the gas nozzle and drove off. On the way I saw groups of young men of similar appearances. Then I thought, perhaps that is why there are so many abandoned buildings in St. Louis?
I had never been so close to such a city before. This was completely different from what I had imagined America to be. So I looked it up: St. Louis, the most prosperous industrial city in 20th century America and the most famous civil rights movement city. I also saw some other words in its description as well: highest crime rate; the white flight, etc.

Yes because we have just come out of the darkness; we’ve come in pursuit of light. Then we realized that that light is only in our imagination. Perhaps only in the reflection of that beautiful imagination, the ugliness can be discovered.
The CCP is celebrating their harming the world for an entire century. Xi Jinping is proudly announcing his prerogative to persecute and destroy the Chinese people. As all evil dictators, he loves to use nationalism to incite and mentally entrap his slaves. Such a nefarious anti-humanity party has been in existence for a hundred years — this is humanity’s shame and disgrace.
When evil has grown to bring about the darkest night, we often hope for a dawn — for the sunlight to dispel the darkness.
But when we suddenly find the sunlit world that we have yearned for for so long is beginning to be covered in dark clouds, what should we do?
America represents justice in this world. If its light turns off, the world will go into complete darkness.
Then some intelligent friends said to me, do not complain if you see darkness. If you want to defeat the CCP, America must be saved from its evil first!
Then what can we do?

Hello, everyone, welcome to “Inconvenient Truths”. I am your host Jennifer Zeng.

 In the past few days, the dramatical events surrounding Didi Chuxing, the Chinese version of Uber, have caused a lot of attention, especially among Wall Street investors. Its share price suffered a free fall only a few days after it went public in New York. It’s IPO, which means initial public offering, was the one of the largest in the US over the past decade, and the biggest by a Chinese company since 2014. So what on earth is wrong with Didi? And what can we learn from it? Today let’s talk about this.

 What Is Didi? 

 Now, let’s give a brief introduction of Didi first. This is the logo and the banner of Didi at the New York Stock Exchange. I guess they put it up on the day when Didi began trading there, that was, June 30. 

Didi, in short, is the Chinese version of Uber, a ride hailing company. It is headquartered in Beijing, has over 550 million users and tens of millions of drivers. 

It was founded in 2012 by Cheng Wei, who had worked for Alibaba and Alipay for 8 years.

2 years later, in 2014, Uber also officially launched in China. 

However, after 2 years, in 2016, Uber China was squeezed out of China by Didi. It sold itself to Didi for $35 billion, and in exchange, gained 5.89% of Didi and some 17.7% economic interest in Didi. The transaction also provided DiDi with a minority equity interest in Uber. So this transaction was once called a Win-Win deal. 

Didi has some very powerful shareholders and investors. In 8 years, it had attracted $21 billion investment. 

With so much money, it has been spending very aggressively to expand its market share. It did grow very fast and gained absolute domination of the Chinese market. 

Free Fall After CCP’s Crackdown

 However, it had always been running at a loss. 

By 2019, in the 7 years since its establishment, it had lost 50 billion yuan($7.72 billion). It only started to claim that it had made some profit as late as in May last year.

Then, through its IPO in the US recently,  it raised $4.4 billion, giving it a market value of around $68 billion. 

Then, only two days after it went public,  the Cyberspace Administration of China ordered app stores to remove DiDi due to “serious violations” of laws and regulations regarding the collection and use of personal information. New users cannot register either. 

Alipay and WeChat, the most popular payment app in China, have also suspended Didi to new users.

As a result, the share price of Didi plunged sharply on July 6 after the market reopened following the Independence Day holiday. 

Its market value as of yesterday fell to $57 billion, down from nearly $70 billion the day it went public.

So, this is to say, the US investors have lost $13 billion in just 5 trading days.

The share prices of many other Chinese companies fell too because of Didi. According to Bloomberg, “China’s technology giants have seen a combined $823 billion wiped from their market value since a February peak, with Beijing’s expanding crackdown on the sector fueling investor concern that the selloff is far from over.” 

 The latest news is, ByteDance, TikTok’s parent company, has abandoned its plan for New York listing after the Didi crackdown. 

 OK, that’s a brief summary of the events.

 Possible Reasons Behind the Didi Crackdown

 Next, what on earth is happening?

 There are several possible reasons, and I will talk about them one by one.

 [No. 1] Power Struggle within the CCP

 No. 1: Power Struggle within the CCP. 

It is widely known that Liu Qing (or Jean Liu) , the president of Didi, is the daughter of  Liu Chuanzhi, founder of Lenovo. And Lenovo has a strong military background. 

Also, Liu Chuanzhi has a good relationship with Alibaba’s Jack Ma, and was also one of the founders of  Hupan University, which was forced to change its name a while ago when Alibaba was being cracked down on and Ant Group’s IPO was halted. 

Didi’s shareholders include many national level giants, such as Bank of Communications, China Merchants Bank, Poly Capital, China Life, China International Trust Investment Corporation (CITIC),  and Ping An Insurance, etc, each of which has one or more powerful red families behind it.

In addition, Didi also has investment from Boyu Capital, Sequoia Capital, Hill House and Softbank, all of which are private equity giants. 

Please note that Boyu Capital was founded by former CCP head Jiang Zemin’s grandson Jiang Zhicheng.

In other words, Didi is basically a huge platform supported by the CCP’s heavyweight red families in conjunction with international capital giants, with Liu Qing as a front person.

 Hong Kong businessman Elmer YUEN said to Chinese language media Vision Times that Xi Jinping is cracking down on Didi and Ant Group to deal with Jiang Zemin’s faction that is behind Didi and Ant Group. Although on the surface, Xi Jinping has messed up a lot of things, he himself didn’t lose anything, as he is only destroying the Jiang faction’s fortune.

Yuen said he once did business with Xi Jinping’s brother. So he knows that in the business circle in China, when Xi Jinping’s name was mentioned, people treated him as an outsider.

In other words, although Xi Jinping has managed to gain control over the army, he has never grasped the economic power. Jiang’s faction still controls the main, big businesses in China, and is especially strong in Guangdong, Shanghai and Shenzhen. 

Yuen also said, Xi Jinping is learning from Mao Zedong, and adopting a Cultural Revolution style power struggle to fight against Jiang. So his cracking down on Didi and Ant Group only hurt Jiang’s faction, not himself.

Yuen said, Didi and Ant group have not only Jiang’s faction, but also Wall Street and American investment companies behind them. These forces have strong ties with those powerful guys at the Davos World Economic Forum. So they won’t be targeted passively without doing anything, and are trying to convince the Biden administration to force Xi Jinping to step down, so that they can continue to make big money like before. 

Also on this Tuesday, there was another very strange thing in China. The General Office of the Central Committee of the CCP and the General Office of the State Council issued a document called  “Opinions on Strengthening the Crackdown on Illegal Securities Activities According to Law”.  Usually, the securities industry is regulated by China Securities Regulatory Commission. But this document was issued directly by the central government instead of China Securities Regulatory Commission.

Article 19 of the document says, “Data security, cross-border data flow, management of confidential information and other related laws and regulations should be improved. Provisions on strengthening the confidentiality and file management related to the issuance of securities and listing abroad should be revised. The main body that is responsible for information security of overseas listed companies should be identified.”

Article 20 of the document says, “Strengthen the supervision of Chinese stocks. Take effective measures to respond to the risks and contingencies of Chinese companies and promote the construction of relevant regulatory systems. Amend the special regulations of the State Council on the issuing of shares abroad and listing of Chinese companies, clarify the responsibilities of domestic industry authorities and regulators, and strengthen cross-sectoral regulatory coordinations.” 

Both Article 19 and 20 are under Chapter 5 of this document, and the title of Chapter 5 is “Further Strengthen Cross-border Supervision and Law enforcement Judicial Collaboration”. 

Given this document was issued only days after Didi went public, and right after the CCP’s crackdown on it, it is very obvious that this chapter and articles were crafted specially for Didi, as well as Chinese companies listed overseas. 

Why would the CCP’s central government bypass the China Securities Regulatory Commission and directly issue such a document? It shows that Xi Jinping is very unhappy with the China Securities Regulatory Commission, which failed to stop Didi from going public in the US. We can just imagine how fierce the power struggles are behind all these. 

Well, that’s the No. 1 reason. 

[No. 2] Battle over Data Control inside China

 The No. 2 reason is the battle over data control inside China. 

In this big data and digital era, it is very important for the CCP to have absolute control over the data to practice its digital totalitarianism. The CCP media once vowed, “No Internet giant should be allowed to become a super database of personal information of Chinese people in greater detail than the state.” 

 So the battle over data control has been going on for a while, that’s why other Internet giants in China, such as Alibaba and Tencent were also fined half a million yuan ($77K) yesterday. 

And in April, 9 Internet companies were punished, each was fined half a million yuan too. 

[No. 3] Battle over Data Control outside China

No. 3 reason is also about data control, but it is the control outside of China.  

There have been rumors that Didi was forced to hand over to the US its user data, as well as data of Chinese maps, including detailed information of some sensitive places such as military buildings. 

Some Chinese netizens are calling Didi a “traitor” because of this. Didi has denied this allegation. I personally don’t believe the US would require Didi to submit this kind of info.

However, when the US-China rivalry is getting worse, it is fully understandable that the CCP would be very worried that the US would obtain data through the listed companies, just like the CCP had forced US companies, such as Yahoo, to hand over its user information to the CCP. Apple was also required by the CCP to set up its cloud center in China, and keep Chinese users’ data inside China.  So the CCP is worrying that the US government could do the same. 

 [No. 4] Secrets Leaked Via Listed Companies

 The US authorities are now having stricter audit requirements on Chinese companies. As a result, the huge networks behind the listed Chinese companies could be exposed, and those networks involve all the top CCP figures. The CCP doesn’t want to have that happen. 

Also, the public companies are required to release financial reports regularly. Through those financial statements, some of the CCP’s secrets can be leaked too. 

The CCP doesn’t want the public, especially Chinese people, to know too many things about the listed companies, especially who actually owns those companies. 

Inside China, everything can be pushed underneath the table, or concealed inside a dark box.  But once the companies submit their shareholder and operation information as required, things can go out of control.

 [No. 5] Embracing US Capital Goes Against Xi Jinping’s Tough Stance

 The No. 5 reason is that while Xi Jinping just vowed to have the “foreign forces”  “break their heads and shed their blood in front of the Great Wall of Steal made by the blood and flesh of 1.4 billion Chinese people” at the CCP’s 100th anniversary celebration on July 1, Didi is embracing the US capital. This doesn’t look good for Xi.

 [No. 6] Didi Goes Public Against the CCP’s Advice

 No. 6 reason is that Didi went public against the CCP’s advice. 

According to the Wall Street Journal, the CCP had suggested Didi to delay its US IPO and to conduct a thorough self-examination of its network security, but Didi didn’t follow the CCP’s advice. So this must have angered the CCP as well.

 Long Term Consequences

 We’ve seen the short term consequences of the CCP’s crackdown on Didi, that is the sell off of not only Didi, but also other Chinese companies. 

But what will be the long term consequences?

 Tao Rui, a former Harvard University scholar, said this on Twitter: “The Didi incident is a big, historical event that is no less important than the Hong Kong National Security Law event. The stock market is in panic. China’s major technology companies lost a staggering trillions of dollars in market value in just two days, dragging down the entire U.S. stock market. [The CCP] doesn’t care about whether the confidence of international investors about China will be destroyed. It is a symbolic event that the previous national strategy of focusing on economic construction was shaken.  China will go back to the era, when they claimed that the grass of socialism is better than the crops of capitalism. The CCP is trying to safeguard its regime at any cost. 

“This means that ideologically, the CCP will be just like North Korea. In order to maintain its power, it doesn’t hesitate to destroy the economy. 

“This is a historic moment. After this,  China’s economy will gradually go into the internal cycle, ideology is above all, the economic construction as the center will become history!”

 Lessons to Learn

 So, what is the lesson to learn here?  In science, we have a term called “system error”. When there are system errors, no matter how you use this instrument to measure something, you will always get wrong results.

Despite the fact that China, or the CCP’s China, has never respected or followed international rules or norms, governments, politicians, Wall Street, and other elites, all pretend that the CCP is part of our civilized world, and give it all kinds of licenses to do evil to the world.

It is true many people did end up making a lot of money by working, or doing business with the CCP, just like what former CCP head Jiang Zemin said, “Making big money without making any noises”, or “making big money quietly.” 

In Jiang Zemin’s era, many westerners did make a lot of money, together with Jiang’s corrupt family members. So there was a term to refer to Jiang’s way of governing the country, that is, “Governing the country via corruption.”

All CCP officials and their partners in the West corrupt China together to make huge money. Who cares about anything else?

Without the investment from the West, the CCP would have gone bankrupt long ago. 

After Xi Jinping came to power in 2012, he initially did manage to arrest a lot of corrupt CCP officials, and had won some support from the public.

However, at some stage, he somehow felt that he needed to keep the CCP to keep his power, and thus made some kind of compromise with Jiang Zemin’s faction. 

So his anti-corruption campaign ended half way through, and he turned to the left to seek legitimacy. He doesn’t realize that it was him that is sustaining the CCP, not the other way around. 

If he had had the courage to abandon and disintegrate the CCP several years ago, perhaps he would still have had some chance to save himself and his power. 

But now, I think it is too late for both him and the CCP. He is indeed the “Chief Accelerator” who is accelerating the CCP’s demise.
