Hello, everyone! Welcome to “Inconvenient Truths”. I am your host Jennifer Zeng.

Today I’ll talk about two events and their significance. One is the Quad meeting in Tokyo, which was said to be the starting point of the formation of a new, Asian version of NATO. Another is that, as I predicted, two resolutions have just been passed in Taiwan, one is to seek to resume diplomatic relations with the U.S., and another is to “request the U.S. to help resist the CCP.”

A New “NATO” to Counter the CCP

On October 6, during US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo’s visit to Japan, foreign ministers of the “Quad” countries: the US, Japan, India, and Australia held a meeting and “united in their determination” to counter the CCP’s “increasing assertiveness in the region.” 

Pompeo clearly expressed on Japanese television that the mission of the “Quad” group was not just about “a rivalry between the United States and China.”  “This is for the soul of the world, whether this will be a world that operates (as) a rules-based international order system, or one that’s dominated by a coercive totalitarian regime like the one in China.”

While English media reported this event in a somewhat “business as usual” manner, many overseas Chinese commentators immediately realized that this was a very significant move and that a new, Asian version of NATO is being formed to counter the CCP.

According to Chinese commentator Tang Jingyuan, the significance manifests in the following 5 aspects. He called it “killing 5 birds with one stone.”

A Strategic Initiative at the Military Level

1. This is a major strategic initiative at the military level. 

We all know that NATO  is an intergovernmental military alliance.  The idea of establishing a mini Asian NATO was first raised by Japan’s former Prime Minister Abe in 2007, when he gave a speech at India’s parliament, he proposed a “Democratic Alliance of Four Nations” which included Japan, The US, Australia, and India. But this proposal didn’t go very far until 10 years later when the Trump Administration started seeing the CCP as a strategic opponent instead of a partner. 

In September of this year, U.S. Secretary of Defense Mark Esper clearly expressed that a collective security alliance in the Indo-Pacific region was needed and that NATO was a good example of collective security and cooperation among allies and partners. 

From this, we can see that the Quad was an initiative at the military level in the first place, and more countries in the region can also be included in the future.

Japan’s Role

2. Japan’s Role. Although the US is the leading country of the Quad, Japan’s role in it is extremely important. Why? Because of Japan’s geographical location.  The Miyako Strait or Kerama Gap near Japan is one of the only two entryways for the CCP’s air force and Navy into the Pacific Ocean. If this Strait, as well as the Bashi Channel between the Philippines and Taiwan, are blocked, the CCP’s strategic nuclear submarine cannot enter the Pacific Ocean, or become a real threat to other countries. In this sense, the CCP’s nuclear submarines will be crippled. 

Eliminating the CCP’s Unique Advantage with Intermediate-range Missiles

3. The CCP will lose its unique advantage with intermediate-range missiles.  Although the CCP often boasts about its military power, people know that in terms of conventional weapons, the CCP’s People’s Liberation Army, PLA,  is several generations behind the US military. 

However, there is one area that the PLA does have unique advantages; and that area is with its intermediate-range missiles. 

We all know that the US and the former Soviet Union signed The Intermediate-Range Nuclear Forces Treaty in 1987. This treaty banned all of the two nations’ land-based short medium-range and intermediate-range ballistic missiles, cruise missiles, and missile launchers.

However, the CCP was not included in the treaty, so it has been able to develop as many missiles as it likes. So now the CCP has the most missiles in the world, much, much more than the US and Russia. 

The CCP has never revealed exactly how many missiles it has, but both the US and Russia believe that it has more than 2000 intermediate-range missiles. So this is the unique military advantage of the CCP.

Although the US withdrew from the treaty in 2018, it is impossible for it to catch up with the CCP in such a short period of time. More importantly, even if it does catch up, in terms of the number of missiles,  it still needs suitable locations to deploy the missiles. 

So, after the formation of this new, Asian version of “NATO”, the US can not only deploy missiles in Japan but also in South Korea and the Philippines if these countries join the alliance later. 

Furthermore, as a founding member of this new “NATO”, India has its own powerful intercontinental ballistic missiles. The Agni-V missile has a range of up to 5000 km, which means it can cover the entirety of China. 

This is to say, by forming this alliance, the US can “offset” the CCP’s huge strategic advantage in this regard in a very short period of time. The CCP has worked hard to build up this advantage for the past 30 years but could lose it very soon.

A Two-Front War

4. The 4th significance is that the CCP would be forced to fight a two-front war should war break out. If we check the map, we can see the so-called First Island Chain forms a semi-circle at China’s east side.  This area now has the military presence of the US, Australia, and Japan. 

And India is on China’s west side. The main issue that was discussed at the Quad meeting on Oct 6 was about the regional security in the East and the South China Sea, which seems to have nothing to do with India.

However, India’s participation brings a strategic and potential threat to the CCP, as India can have a tremendous restraining effect on land against the CCP.

We all know one of the most fatal reasons for the defeat of Nazi Germany during World War II was that it fought on both the eastern and western fronts at the same time. It had to deal with both the Allies and the Soviet Union’s military forces at the same time.

So, in the future, the CCP could face the same kind of situation. If India decides to give up its past non-alignment stance and joins the newly formed mini “NATO”, it would become a huge restraining force for the CCP if the CCP creates any conflicts in the East & South China Sea, as well as in the Taiwan Strait area.

Talking about this, we have to say that Xi Jinping is indeed the “Chief Accelerator” for the demise of the CCP. India has kept its non-alignment position for decades, but the recent standoff at the Sino-India border that killed 20 Indian soldiers has really angered the Indian people, and the anger of the public may well change India’s non-alignment position. The fact that India participated in this Quad meeting has already been an indication of that.

In the meantime, Japan is also considering making a major change to its defense policy by developing a first-strike capability on enemy bases to defend against imminent attacks.

We can say all these huge strategic changes are made to tackle the CCP’s threat, which goes beyond the mere material interests of different countries. The CCP’s threat is a direct one to the very values and universal principles of the free world, and therefore cannot be allowed to exist.

Taiwan: Winning without Fighting

5. The 5th significance of the new alliance is that it will offer an extra layer of protection and support for Taiwan, and greatly reduce the possibility of the CCP’s invasion of Taiwan. 

There is a very famous military philosophy in the ancient Chinese classical book “The Art of War” by Sun Tzu: “The supreme art of war is to subdue the enemy without fighting.”

So, we can say that “winning without fighting” could also be achieved through forming this new Asian version of “NATO”.

KMT’s “Radical” Move and its Possible, Bright Future

Next, let’s move to our second topic for today.

Also on Oct 6, the Council of Taiwan’s Legislative Yuan passed two resolutions proposed by the Kuomintang (KMT) party, calling for U.S. military aid and the resumption of diplomatic relations between the United States and Taiwan in order to counter the CCP’s aggression.

This news was not a surprise given the recent quick heating up of U.S.-Taiwan relations. However, it is, at the same time, also a little surprising because the proposals came from the Kuomintang party itself, which has been seen as being very close to the CCP in recent years.

Perhaps that is also the reason why the CCP felt very awkward about the resolutions. If such proposals were from the ruling Democratic Progressive Party, the CCP would have made a big fuss about it. 

Why did the usually pro-CCP Kuomintang suddenly introduce these two resolutions? Maybe this is a very meaningful question to ask. 

As far as I can see, this again reflects the fact that the CCP, not US Secretary of State Pompeo, has indeed become the “Enemy of Mankind”, and that’s why even the pro-CCP Kuomingtang has started to fight back. 

In January of this year, during Taiwan’s presidential election,  the Kuomintang party lost bitterly because of its more pro-CCP stance. What the CCP did to Hong Kong afterward again pushed the people of Taiwan further away from the CCP, since people saw that by imposing the so-called National Security Law in Hong Kong, the CCP had completely destroyed Hong Kong’s freedom, and fighting back against the CCP has become a mainstream international trend.

I think this is why the Kuomintang has raised these two seemingly “radical” resolutions now. 

On my last show, I responded to a few of a viewer’s questions.  That viewer also asked what kind of political system would follow if the CCP collapsed and whether Chinese people would be able to manage themselves after the CCP is gone. 

Well, I think I’ve already laid out one possibility when I  jokingly used the short title “Who Liberates Who?” in another show where I discussed the relationships between the US, China, and Taiwan. 

Well, what I want to say is, if the Kuomintang can expand its vision and mind, and be reminded one more time of its leader Chiang Kai-shek’s unrealized dream of taking back Mainland China, this may contribute a lot, or perhaps indeed open the door to its taking back Mainland China.

Many Chinese people have been hoping that the flag of the Republic of China can once again be raised in Mainland China and that China can be re-united again with democracy. 

If the KMT party can start working secretly on recruiting members in Mainland China and promoting democratic ideas now, after the CCP collapses, which could happen very soon, it can go back to China, recruit more members and run for election. With its past experiences of once governing Taiwan, it is quite possible that it could win. Isn’t it? 

So, the only question to ask the KMT is: can you think and act even bigger? 

By the way, October 1oth is the National Day of the Republic of China and the 109th anniversary of its founding. I heard that the CCP had “advised” Indian media not to publish content related to this. But as we are not Indian media, so maybe we are allowed to say here:  “Happy Birthday to the great Republic of China! Happy Birthday to Taiwan!”

Hello, everyone! Welcome to “Inconvenient Truths by Jennifer Zeng”.

 There are many kinds of robberies in the world, but I am pretty sure that you’ve never heard about the particular robbery that I am going to talk about today. The Chinese term for this robbery is called “經租房（Jing Zu Fang）”. There is no equivalent term in English for it, as this is another unique thing that only exists in the CCP’s “socialism with Chinese characteristics”. But the reason why this robbery is happening again concerns every one of us. That’s why I am talking about it today. I will also respond to a few questions from a viewer from my last show.  So please stick around to the end. 

“Government Managed Private Rental Houses”

 First of all, what is  “經租房（Jing Zu Fang）”?  There really is no English translation for it; but by summarizing the stories behind this “Jing Zu Fang”, perhaps we can call it “government-managed private rental houses”.  This issue got people’s attention again because of some recent events. Let’s watch some short video clips from Pingyao County, Shanxi Province in China first. 

Man: “Come, let the people of the whole country see. The people’s government of Pingyao County, the people’s police, the people’s city managers. Our case is still in court, but they come to take away our houses.  Is this a society of the rule of law? This is the People’s Government of Pingyao County under the leadership of the Communist Party of China. They came to rob our houses during the litigation.”

Woman: “This has become a world of bandits and hooligans! They’ve become bandits and hooligans. This is our private property. They send so many people over to lock the house and seal it, saying that it is theirs. Private property to be seized, seize private property.  Pingyao County Government has become bandits and hooligans!”

Woman: “You tourists, come take a look! Pingyao County Government behaves like bandits and hooligans! The certificate of property ownership is still in our hands, but they are here robbing our private property. Forcibly robbing our private property! They come but don’t show any of their IDs. I don’t know where they come from. These people are in uniforms. Looks like they are police and city managers. Yes, just those people. Get away from them. They will beat people. Last time they pushed down an 80-year-old man and  beat up my husband. I called 110 and reported it to the police. One month passed, not one word of reply. This is Pingyao County Government! This is just how the Pingyao County Government is! They are bullies, bandit, hooligans!”

 Well, the above events happened recently, to just one of the millions of so-called  “Jing Zu Fang”, or “government-managed private rental houses” in China. 

 You know, when the Chinese Communist Party, the CCP, took power in 1949, the first thing it did, was to kill about 2 million landlords in the countrysides and confiscate all their land. 

In big cities, the CCP took over the businesses of “capitalists” through the so-called “socialist transformation of capitalist industry and commerce”. 

But how about people’s houses in the cities? The CCP couldn’t call you a “capitalist” just because you own one or a few houses you inherited from your parents or earned through your own efforts, right? 

So in 1958, during its “socialist transformation”, the CCP came up with a way to deal with people’s houses.

The CCP said, from now on, the government will manage your extra houses for you. Turn in your houses, we will rent them to people who need them. We will collect the rent, maintain and manage the houses for you, and give you part of the rent.

70% of Private Rental Houses Taken Over by the CCP

So, according to the CCP’s official figures, altogether 116 million square meters of private houses from 624 K households became “Jing Zu Fang”.  This amounted to about 70% of all private rental houses. 

In other words, the CCP took over 70% of all the private rental houses in China into its own hands and “managed” these houses for the owners.

And how much were the owners paid? They got only 20-40% of the rent. The rest was taken by the CCP.

At Least 40 Million People Affected

However, when the Cultural Revolution started in 1966, the CCP stopped paying the owners any rent. 

Also, many more private houses became “Jing Zhu Fang”. So after the Cultural Revolution, the houses of about 4 million families were taken over by the CCP.  

As most of the house owners had already died, their children and grandchildren had become the lawful inheritors of these houses. Suppose one house has 10 lawful inheritors now, over 40 million people are affected by the so-called  “Jing Zhu Fang”.

The Long Fight To Take Back The  “Jing Zhu Fang”

During the 1980s, when the CCP adopted the so-called “Reform and Opening-up Policy”, it started to return some of the “Government Managed” private houses to their owners.

But for people in Pingyao County, Shanxi Province, and other places too, things were not that easy. 

First, people in Pingyao didn’t know that these houses were being returned until almost 10 years later, as the CCP didn’t tell them.

After learning that those “Jing Zhu Fang” could be returned, some families started trying to get their houses back.  

One of these is a family in Pingyao County. The father went to the government building 5 or 6 times per month but didn’t get the house back until he died in 1999.

After the father died, his two sons continued the fight for more than 10 years.

In 2012, the local government finally notified them that they now could take back their houses. However, since the tenants in the homes still owed 20,000 yuan in back rent, the brothers couldn’t get them back until they made it up. 

With no other choice, the brothers had to pay the rent for the tenants. 

However, the government then said they still needed to pay some sort of “exchange fee” to get their houses back. So they again paid 120,000 yuan as the “exchange fee”.

Now they finally got the ownership of their homes back. But the tenants inside refused to move out. The brothers then had to pay the tenants 180,000 yuan to get them to leave.

So, after spending nearly 300,000 yuan, or 44,000 US dollars, the brothers finally got their grandfather’s houses back in May 2013.

Short-lived Ownership, The Nightmare Comes Again

 After getting the houses back, they borrowed some 4 million yuan to renovate them and turned them into hotels in 2016, since Pingyao is a very famous tourist attraction because of its long history and very unique architectural style. So running hotels is very good business.

After running their hotel for only 4 years, in June this year, the brothers suddenly received a notification from the Pingyao government, saying that the government is going to take back their property again.

Altogether, 224 households in Pingyao County had their houses seized by the government. People estimated that some of the properties could be worth as much as 30 million yuan or 4.42 million US dollars! 

So, from 1958 to 2020, after more than 60 years, the CCP is once again taking away people’s private properties. 

Why Now?

The problem now is, why now?

 It was said that because these properties, especially those hotels are making good money, the local government became jealous and felt like pocketing the money itself. One CCP leader said to the house owners: “Pingyao’s tourism is so developed, but the Pingyao government has no money and it’s all in your private hands, do you think it’s OK this way?”

When house owners tried to reason with the county government, one deputy commissioner threatened them, “You don’t have to make a scene here, the houses will definitely be taken, and you can sue whenever you like!”

This reflects a very important issue: local governments in China are desperately short on revenue, and have to conduct this kind of outright robbery again.

This also reflects the very fundamental nature of the CCP: It always changes its stance, and never keeps its promises. 

 I think after the CCP said that it would open up its market to the world, reform its system, and learn from the West, many people around the world believed that the CCP indeed intended to do so.  

 But now, this outright robbery in Pingyao County is making people fear that after the “test run” in Shanxi province,  similar things will also happen in Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, or even in Hong Kong, and another round of “socialist transformation” will take place.

A Matter of Life or Death

The year 2020  fundamentally changed so many things. For the CCP, it is now a matter of life or death for its regime. In order to sustain itself, the CCP will certainly try to seize people’s assets by all means possible.  We may start to see more similar Pingyao events in China soon.

 So, for the poor Chinese people, they have no way to escape this kind of fate or to seek justice. But for foreign investors, if you still have assets in China, it is high time that you consider leaving.

 Responding to Viewers’ Questions: What If the CCP Falls?

 Next, I will respond to some questions from a viewer from my last show. If you also have questions, please write to me, and I will do my best to respond. My email address is in the description box. You can also leave your questions in the comment area. I have been trying to read and respond to as many comments as possible. But I can’t guarantee that I will have time to respond to all of them.

 Well, the comment and questions I got are these:

Everyone wants the demise of the CCP, but what kind of political system would follow its demise? As generations of Chinese people have been brainwashed by the CCP ideology and the Chinese people have had no opportunity to even have any underground efforts to experiment with any CCP alternatives, are they capable of managing themselves after the CCP is gone?  Would there be a civil war? How would this end scenario be different from that of the USSR’s breakup? 

Well, I must say these are very challenging questions and may need an entire book to discuss them all. Here I can only respond very briefly.

Yes, the brainwashing and control of the CCP is indeed very, very tight. However, sometimes it needs only a little bit of truth to crush all the lies.

Let me give you a real example. You may or may not know that once I worked for the Development Research Center of the State Council of China. It is the highest level government policy research and consultant body, and almost everyone there was a CCP member. 

So there was a woman there who was particularly pro-CCP. She had the nickname “Marxist old lady” because whenever she spoke, you felt like she was reciting sentences directly from the CCP’s textbooks.

Anyway, after working for decades for the CCP, and before she was about to retire, she was given a free trip to Europe as a reward for her life long hard work for the CCP.

She traveled for about one month in Europe. I don’t know what she saw or experienced. At that time, I had just graduated from the graduate school of Peking University and had never been to any overseas countries myself. 

After that “Marxist old lady” came back, one day when she saw that there was no one else in the office except two or three young folks like me, she said to us in a very confidential and sincere tone, “You are still young. If you have the chance, go abroad and live there.”

She was apparently encouraging us to leave China and live in a Western country.

I was so surprised by her sincerity and humanity during that short moment. I had never expected such sincerity and humanity from a “Marxist old lady” like her. 

So, one month in Europe had completely changed her world views that had formed throughout her entire life while in the CCP’s China. After she saw the real situation of what the party described as “evil capitalism”, she encouraged her young colleagues to leave China and seek a future in the “capitalist countries”.

So, my point is, as long as we can somehow help the brainwashed Chinese people learn the truth, their thoughts can be changed very quickly. 

If you have watched my video about  A Former “Content Reviewer” for the CCP, you would already know how tightly everything on the Internet in China is controlled. Ordinary Chinese people have no chance at all to learn the truth.

If the free world can first of all tear down the CCP’s “Great Fire Wall”, and enable the Chinese people to gain free information, things can be changed very quickly.

I am not sure whether a civil war will break out or not. China is such a huge country, so I won’t be surprised if one day the CCP’s central committee loses control, and local officials start to act on their own.

No matter what, the most important thing for the outside world to do is to open up and maintain a free flow of information between China and the free world so that the world can talk directly to the Chinese people, and the Chinese people can then directly seek help and support from the world. 

We should trust that people are born free; and people’s yearning for freedom will never die. Trust that, act upon that, and we will see a free China one way or the other.

Hello, everyone! Welcome to “Inconvenient Truths by Jennifer Zeng”.

Oct. 1 is a big day for many people.  In the US, and around the world, people learned the shocking news that President Trump and First Lady Melania Trump had tested positive for COVID19. On Capitol Hill in Washington DC, US Representative Scott Perry announced that he had introduced a bill to designate the Chinese Communist Party, the CCP,  as a “Transnational Organized Crime Group”, and to add the CCP to the “Top International Criminal Organizations Target” List. In China and elsewhere, people of Chinese heritage are celebrating the traditional Mid-Autumn Festival, when family and friends get together to celebrate. In Mainland China, CCP leaders were celebrating the 71st anniversary of the founding of its regime. How are these several events interrelated to one another? And how will the future of the US and the CCP be affected? Today, let’s talk about these issues.

Trump’s Infection and the US Election

First of all, how will Trump’s infection affect the US election?

Personally, I don’t think it will affect the US election that much if he recovers soon, although Trump will not be able to do his favorite big rally campaigns like before. As he was in relatively good physical shape before he caught the virus, a quick recovery is quite possible.

However, if his situation deteriorates, that will make the delicate pre-election battleground more complicated, more difficult to predict. That is why the entire world is holding its breath and watching his status very, very closely. 

“Rejoicing” Over Trump’s Infection

Second, how will Trump’s infection affect the relations between the US and the CCP?

The CCP’s official media maintains a relatively low-key and neutral tone when reporting about Trump’s infection. 

However, on social media platforms, many brainwashed people rejoice over this news. Some say “All of the heavens and the earth rejoice together”, some say “The COVID19 finally found its right target “. Some say “So happy”, some say “It’s late but it’s here”, some say “Triple happiness”, meaning that they were celebrating the Mid-Autumn Festival, the CCP’s National Day and Trump’s infection at the same time.

Each of these comments got hundreds or tens of thousands’ likes. 

And their celebrations are not limited to words. For example,  this shop is offering a discount of 200-500 yuan, or 30-74 US dollars for all their cellphones. And this shop is offering free coffee as a celebration.

And watch this video. These people not only took the trouble to make a banner, but also shot and uploaded this video showing them shouting the content of the banner: “Happy celebration and congratulations on Mr. & Mrs. Trump’s infection of COVID19!”

Let’s watch another two short clips:

Woman in Beijing: “The entire country celebrates. All of the heavens and the earth rejoice together. Very, very good. This is a gift from Trump to China.”

Bus Driver: “Let me tell everyone an exciting and encouraging piece of news. The f** Trump has finally got the f** COVID19. “

Passengers:” Applaud! Great! Applaud!”

Some of you may be wondering: How can human beings “celebrate” a fellow human being’s misfortune? 

Well, all these reflect the CCP’s long term brainwashing “achievements”. For many, many decades, the CCP has been teaching its people that “You should be as ruthless as bitter winter with your enemies”, and the US has always been portrayed as China’s big, sometimes the biggest enemy. 

Trump’s Infection Will Make the US More Determined to Hold the CCP Accountable

However, many clear-headed overseas Chinese people are having a totally different perspective about this issue. 

There is an old saying in China, “Misfortune, that is where happiness depends; happiness, that is where misfortune underlies.”  

So although it is a misfortune for Trump to test positive and be hospitalized, this could force the US to once again pay its attention to the CCP’s role in not only this pandemic, but also in other CCP-made disasters. 

The CCP has been killing their own people nonstop ever since its establishment and has been trying to take over the world in recent years after the West allowed it to become “rich”. 

However, for most of the time, many politicians turned a blind eye to the CCP’s evil nature and crimes. They treated the CCP like any other, normal political party, and mistakenly believed that the CCP would become a good guy in the future if only the world helped it to become “rich”.

Worse still, some knew that the CCP was evil, but didn’t do anything to stop it, because the CCP gave them money, or gave them opportunities to make big money.

So in this sense, we can say that the CCP was able to do so much tremendous evil because the world allowed it.

Also in this sense, if President Trump’s infection can once again highlight the CCP’s murderous nature and actions, and make the US and the world more determined to dismantle the CCP, the misfortune can, like the old Chinese saying says, be turned into a good thing.

No matter what, let’s pray that President Trump and the First Lady recover as quickly as possible. 

Designating the CCP As A Transnational Organized Crime Group Act

Now, let’s move to another big, big event that also happened on Oct 1. Let’s watch a short video of US Congressman Scott Perry’s speech first. By the way, I was the first person, if not the only one, that published this video on the Internet: 

US Congressman Scott Perry: “This morning I had the honor of introducing a bill in the United States House of Representatives, that assigns a title befitting the Chinese Communist Party, that’s a ‘transnational criminal organization’,  because that’s what they are. They are criminals. This bill, what exactly it does is,  it allows us to apply the RICO Statute, the racketeering Statutes, to those involved with the Communist Party.

“Whether they’re in China, or whether they’re in the United States of America, with real penalties including prison, going to prison for criminal activities on behalf of the Chinese Communist Party.

“This bill eliminates the sovereign immunity of the CCP, ensuring that even their diplomats who are working here if they’re involved in criminal activity, they can be subjected to this.

“The CCP cannot be given a pass, cannot be absolved of justice, just because it’s ruling China, and that’s what’s happening. Because they can declare themselves the legitimate government of China, they’re allowed to get away with it. They are allowed to get away with oppression, concentration camps, all kinds of horrific things that you already know about, whether it’s the Falun Gong, whether it’s our friends in Mongolia, whether it’s taking over Tibet, all of it,  that’s the end.

“And it’s criminal activity that must be recognized and stood against by the whole world community, and the United States must lead.”]

After I posted this video on YouTube and Twitter, many people said “this is huge!”

Yes, this is indeed huge. The bill Perry talked about is numbered H.R.8491. Although it has not been received by the congress, I have the privilege of gaining a preview copy of it, which I have posted on my website. 

The bill’s title is “Designating the CCP As A Transnational Organized Crime Group Act”. 

Section 2 of the bill lists many of the CCP’s crimes, including destroying Hong Kong’s freedom, human rights violations, flooding the US with deadly fentanyl, covering up the COVID19 pandemic, and allowing it to spread to the world, IP theft, forced organ harvesting, etc. 

Section 3 of the bill stipulates that “On the date of the enactment of this Act, the Attorney General shall designate the Chinese Communist Party as a transnational organized crime group”,  “the Director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation（FBI) shall designate the Chinese Communist Party as a top international criminal organization for the Department of Justice. “

From this, we can see that if the bill is passed and enacted, the US will officially designate the CCP as a transnational organized crime group, and will use its national power to deal with the CCP’s crimes. 

Section 4 of the Bill introduces an amendment for the current United States Code, which stipulates that “not later than 90 days after the date” of the enactment of this act, the US Attorney General shall report to the US House and Senate “the rationale” for the designation of the CCP as a transnational organized crime group, and “the number and extent of a racketeering activity committed, aided, or abetted by the CCP. “

The bill also makes it possible to hold the CCP accountable for crimes it committed more than 15 years ago and eliminates the legal liability protections of the CCP during the investigation of racketeering activity. 

“Triple Happiness” Can Turn Out to Be “Triple Fatality”

Although I am not a legal expert, I feel that this bill is tremendously important, and indeed huge. The so-called “Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act”, or RICO statute that was passed in 1970, is a ready-made tool that the US can utilize to hold the CCP accountable for many of its crimes.

The only problem is, will the US, as a nation, have the will to push this forward?

Whether a bill can be passed and then enacted or not, depends on how many congressmen and congresswomen will vote for it. As congressmen and congresswomen are elected by common folks like you and me, so every one of us actually has a little bit of power in our hands to decide whether such a bill will be passed or killed in congress. Don’t you agree?

Imagine if such a bill is passed and enacted, what will happen to the CCP? While their people are celebrating their “triple happiness” including President Trump’s COVID infection, they may have not realized that their  “triple happiness” can turn out to be a “triple fatality” for the CCP. 

During the Hong Kong people’s protests against the CCP, many Hong Kongers often held up a banner that says “Heaven will destroy the CCP.” With Xi Jinping acting as the “Chief Accelerator ” of the CCP’s demise, I do see that heaven is also accelerating its steps to destroy the CCP.

Rep. Perry also said, “Many folks from Tibet, Tibetan heritage, Taiwan, Uighurs, Mongolians all came to my office to talk to me about what’s happening to them and what has happened to them. And we simply cannot stand for it. We simply cannot allow it. It takes more than conversations, more than discussions. It takes action. Action is what is required.
