Hello, everyone, welcome to “Inconvenient Truths”. I am your host Jennifer Zeng.
Today I will give you a quick update about the “highest level” CCP defector Dong Jingwei. Then I will talk about an unusual move by the CCP, which is ordering Chinese nationals in Burma to return to China. I will also talk about the reason behind the CCP’s usual move.
Before we move on, please make sure you subscribe to my channel, and turn on the notification bell. Please also share and like my videos, and leave us some comments to share with us what you think about the topics we discuss.
Now, let’s move to our first topic today.
First of all, a little bit of an update about the CCP’s top counterintelligence official Dong Jingwei.
Let’s show a picture of him first.
Dong Jingwei, vice minister of the CCP’s Ministry of State Security
He is, or was, the vice minister of the CCP’s Ministry of State Security (MSS). Both English and Chinese language media have reported about his possible defection to the US.
The Red State reported on June 17 that Dong defected to the US in mid Feb. Not only does he have “detailed information about China’s special weapons systems, the Chinese military’s operation of the Wuhan Institute of Virology and the origins of SARS-CoV-2, and the Chinese government’s assets and sources within the United States”; he also has extremely embarrassing and damaging information about US intelligence community and government officials in the “terabytes of data” he provided to the US Defense Intelligence Agency.
Is this information true or not? Let’s check some of the responses on the Chinese side.
First of all, Dong’s name has been taken out of many government websites.
Let’s show a short video. On June 17, after I saw “rumors” about Dong’s defection, I searched for his name in Chinese on China’s search engine Baidu. The top result says “bio of the ministers of the Ministry of State Security”.
However, when I clicked on that result, I found Dong Jingwei’s name and bio were not there. Only Chen Wenqing, the minister’s photo and bio are on that page.
So what you just saw is a screenshot from my searching process.
A similar thing has happened on many other government websites or data bases. This means that the CCP is erasing records about Dong Jingwei.
On June 18, one day after Red State published its report about Dong, the CCP reported that Dong hosted a national security meeting on that day.
However, there were no photos of him hosting the meeting, or any photos, or videos of the meeting at all. So many people don’t believe that a meeting has really taken place. Instead, people regard this as some sort of response from the CCP. It seems that the CCP wants to convince the public that Dong has not defected, that he is still in China, etc.
Then, two days later, on June 20, the CCP’s Discipline Inspection Commission suddenly posted an article titled “Never Defect from the Party is Not Just Empty Words” , with a decision as old as in 1931 about a “traitor” called Gu Shunzhang.
The report tells a story about Gu Shunzhang. In 1931, please note that was before the CCP took power in China, and when the CCP was still an illegal organization in China, and all its members were underground secret agents, Gu defected to The Kuomintang, which is also called Nationalist Party of China, and which was the ruling party of China then. Gu gave a lot of CCP members’ information to Kuomintang, which resulted in those members getting purged.
So Gu was permanently expelled from the CCP as a “shameful traitor”. And the CCP asked all party members to fight against such traitors and never betray the party.
Don’t you feel strange that on June 20, 2021, the CCP’s Discipline Inspection Commission would post an article about a decision about a “traitor” in 1931, that was 90 years ago?
I personally think it is very strange. So I was more convinced that there must be a recent “traitor”, or “traitors” for the CCP to do such a strange thing.
Now, let’s move to our next topic: Why is the CCP ordering Chinese people in Burma to return by the end of this month?
Despite the spread of the CCP virus in Burma (also known as Myanmar), the CCP has recently issued notice to Chinese nationals stranded in northern Burma to return to China by June 30, or else they will have their household registrations canceled.
This is a completely different move from the CCP’s previous practice of strictly controlling the return of its citizens. A Chinese professor suggests that the reason for this is the emergence of an armed resistance force in northern Burma that frightens the CCP. I will talk about this later, after I talk about the CCP’s orders first.
On June 1, the official WeChat account of the town of Gangyi in Hubei Province, released an announcement with a list of the names, ID numbers, and addresses of 33 people who were called “suspected criminals who have crossed the China-Burma border.”
The announcement said that those who return to China and take the initiative to contact and report to the Chinese authorities before June 15 would be punished less severely. Otherwise, they will be declared missing or dead. Their household registrations would be canceled, and a series of other disciplinary measures will be implemented.
Similar announcements and name lists have been released in many other Chinese cities and provinces too.
The CCP authorities say the reason for doing this is to combat telecommunication fraud and rectify cross-border crimes at the China-Burma border.
A taxi driver who was smuggled into northern Burma many years ago, told the Chinese edition of The Epoch Times that since May, Chinese people in northern Burma have all received phone calls from village heads or police stations in their hometowns, telling them to return home by a deadline.
This taxi driver said that the Chinese government is trying to get people to return to China batch by batch, and the police had a detailed list of the people who they wanted to go back to China. He was not sure how many were on that list, but there are currently more than 100,000 mainlanders in northern Burma.
Another person who runs a restaurant in the Wa Special Region in Burma also told The Epoch Times that the CCP’s public security officials had contacted his family members and told them that they have to return to China and report to the police about their trip, including where they plan to enter China and when they would be put under quarantine. The police would then go to meet and escort them.
The CCP authorities said in the notice that those who do not return to China will have their family members in China affected. Their schooling, employment, salaries, and event bank accounts could all be affected.
According to a Chinese media report, as the deadline approaches, long lines of people are forming near the border crossings to register and wait to be quarantined, and Chinese people who run supermarkets and restaurants in northern Burma are rushing to dispose of goods and transfer stores in order to return to China before the end of the month.
A netizen who was previously stranded in northern Burma shared his experience of waiting in line to return to China: first, he had to queue up at the local government in Burma to get a number. The best time to queue was at 3:00 or 4:00 a.m., or even earlier.
He had to be quarantined for three days at the quarantine point in Burma and get his COVID19 test report after two tests. After entering China, he had to stay in quarantine near the border for 21 days. Illegal immigrants are fined.
Actually, since the outbreak of the pandemic, the CCP has not allowed overseas Chinese to return to China. Around April of last year, there were quite a few videos on the internet showing Chinese overseas who wanted to return to China being refused by the Chinese authorities.
So, a serious question is, why is the CCP forcing Chinese nationals in Burma to return while refusing Chinese people in other countries?
Yuan Hongbing, a former Peking University law professor living in Australia, said in an interview with the Chinese language media Vision Times that all these happened because the CCP is very afraid of something that is happening in Burma.
Yuan Hongbing said the Chinese Revolutionary Party has established a political base for armed resistance against the CCP in northern Burma, formed by more than a dozen organizations and groups, including a group called the “V Brigade.”
So this is the YouTube channel of the “V Brigade.” So far it has only released 4 videos.
The first video you are seeing now was released in September last year. It is a political manifesto of the V Brigade. It says that the V Brigade will implement the people’s right to revolt against tyranny through democratic revolution and armed resistance and then destroy the Chinese communist regime.
I have watched the entire video, and was very much impressed. It seems to me the guy who is talking has a very clear mind.
First of all, he said that the people not only have the right to overthrow the CCP, but also have the right to choose how to overthrow it. The CCP violates human rights and freedom and threatens human civilization and world peace. The Chinese people need to join all peoples in the world who love freedom, democracy, and the rule of law to end the evil rule of the CCP. The Communist government’s position has always been extreme stubbornness, brutal suppression, and rejection of reconciliation. This makes it difficult for peaceful reforms to succeed. The people must seriously consider the option of armed revolution, which is perhaps the only option.
After that he said, since the CCP has such a huge army, he didn’t expect to really destroy the CCP’s army physically with a very small guerrilla force hiding in the wild mountains.
However, it is important to have the option of armed revolution on the table. An armed force is a preparation for a political solution; an armed force can become a bargaining chip for political opposition; an armed force can also shatter the myth that the CCP is invincible. It can bring people courage, and play a very good role in terms of promoting the idea of revolution. It can also be a symbol and a flag for the revolution, etc.
Yuan Hongbing said the V Brigade’s political declaration gives a political positioning to the entire armed resistance base in northern Burma against the Chinese communist tyranny.
He said that the CCP had previously stigmatized the force, describing northern Burma as a place of crime, fraud, drug trafficking, and gun smuggling, to try to cover up the fact that there is a political base of armed resistance to communist tyranny there.
Yuan also said that another important reason for the CCP’s fear of the V Brigade is its role as a model and example to others.
He analyzed that one of the roles of the V Brigade is “to lead the Chinese society and the Chinese people out of their fear of the CCP’s tyranny through the spirit of strong will.”
He said that one of the major reasons why the Chinese communist regime has continued to this day is that the CCP has created a general mood of terror through the violence of state terrorism, and that the V Brigade’s fighting spirit and resistance has led people out of their fear of communist tyranny.
So far the V Brigade’s first video from last September has only got about 28K views. I heard that they don’t have many people either, but have attracted a lot of new people during Burmese people’s revolt against the military coup in recent months, and have also defeated the CCP’s attempts to eliminate them. They have also sent people back to China to spread their ideas so that more people in China will join their efforts. They have also given people guidance in a follow-up video about how to hide in cities and fight effectively.
A Chinese language website called “Fire of Liberty” has set up a special column for the V Brigade and other groups to release information about their movement to revolt against the CCP.
From the CCP’s response, including ordering all Chinese nationals in Burma to return to China, I’d say this base of armed resistance in Burma has really frightened the CCP.
While the CCP is making a big fuss to celebrate its 100th anniversary, which is just a few days away, I’m afraid the CCP leaders cannot really sleep well at night, when both “traitors” from within, and fighters from the outside, are fighting against them.
That’s all for today’s “Inconvenient Truths”. Thank you very much for watching. Again, please subscribe to my channel, like and share my videos, and leave us some comments to tell us what you think about the issues we discussed today.
Thank you. See you on Thursday!

Hello, everyone, welcome to “Inconvenient Truths”. I am your host Jennifer Zeng.
Today I will first of all show you a bombshell video, which shows that the P4 lab in Wuhan did keep live bats in it. Sky News showed a little bit of it several days ago. I found the entire, 11 minute video and translated it into English. So this is the exclusive world premiere of it.
After we watch the video, I will talk about my takeaways from it, and what we should do based on what this video tells us. I hope you can also share your thoughts about this video in the live chat area, or leave us some comments if you are watching after the live stream.
Before we play the video, let me give you a little bit of background. It was created and released by the Chinese Academy of Sciences as a propaganda, or promotional video back in 2017 to mark the launch of the new Wuhan level 4 laboratory. Wuhan Institute of Virology belongs to the Chinese Academy of Sciences. I downloaded the video from the official website of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. I will put the link to this website in the comment area later. I have also archived this page, and will put the link to the archived page at the top of the comment area, in case the original page gets deleted after I release this translated video today.
Also, apart from adding English subtitles to the video, I haven’t changed anything in it. So what you’ll watch is the original, full version of it. I believe it is important to release the original version and keep it as is so that everybody can make up his or her own mind about it, so that it can be used as evidence, because it is original.
Now, without further ado, let’s watch the video together. Please make sure you read the English subtitles, as the video is in Chinese.
Transcript of the video:

The Construction and Research Team of The P4 Laboratory of Wuhan Institute of Virology
Over the past three decades, new and sudden outbreaks of infectious diseases have been spreading more and more widely in the world, especially since 2003, the successive outbreaks of SARS, highly pathogenic avian influenza, Ebola and other virulent infectious diseases have caused significant impact on human public health and social development. High-level biosafety laboratories are the basic safety guarantee for the [research] of new and virulent infectious diseases.
Under the care and support of two generations of Party and State leaders, the Wuhan Institute of Virology of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, through the joint efforts of many parties over the past ten years, introduced the design and key equipment through Sino-French cooperation, digested and re-innovated, the highest safety level, the only biosafety laboratory in China, the Wuhan P4 Laboratory, supplemented by BSL-2 and BSL-3 laboratories of the biosafety cluster platform for life science research. It is hailed as an aircraft carrier in the field of life science research, which reflects the basic capability and strategic position of our country in the field of life science.
Song Donglin, Vice Director, Wuhan P4 Lab of Chinese Academy of Sciences: “Biosafety laboratories are divided into four levels depending on the risk level of the pathogens we are studying. According differences in the physical containment and sealing requirements, they are divided into P1, P2, P3, P4 laboratory. This one we have is the P4 laboratory.”
Tong Xiao, Head of Equipment Maintenance and Assurance Department, Wuhan P4 Lab: “The core technology of P4 laboratory is to control the release of contaminants, as well as to protect the lives of researchers. The biosafety performance provided by our laboratory facilities and equipment has reached the world’s first-class standard.”
Yuan Zhiming, Director, Wuhan P4 Lab: “The P4 laboratory is the highest biosafety level laboratory in the world, and also the safest laboratory. The completion of the laboratory signifies that our national researchers can carry out some research work on virulent viruses in our own laboratories.”
Shi Zhengli, Vice Director, Wuhan P4 Lab, Director of Center for Research on Emerging Infectious Diseases: “The P4 laboratory platform provides us with a better protective platform, so that this protective platform can ensure a safe working environment for our researchers engaged in pathogenic research.”
Chen Xinwen, Director, Wuhan Institute of Virology: “We rely on the Wuhan P4 laboratory, the integration of the strengths inside and outside the institution, through institutional innovation, in accordance with the requirements of the national laboratory construction, to construct the Biosafety Center of Chinese Academy of Sciences for large scale scientific research. We hope to become the main force and scientific research highland in the field of infectious disease and biosafety protection in China.”
Conquering‧Here, what we are exposed to are the most virulent viruses.
At present, there are only a dozen level four biosafety laboratories in the world that are actually in operation.
Wuhan P4 Laboratory not only meets the needs of cutting-edge basic research and major science and technology output, but also is an important strategic deployment of our country in public health and public safety. Its completion is also in response to the need of our time.
Chen Xinwen, Director, Wuhan Institute of Virology: “Facing the strategic needs of our country in the field of infectious disease protection, we have taken the initiative to adjust the research direction and achieved significant research results in the field of SARS traceability. Currently, we are focusing our research efforts on biosafety research.”
Over the years, a group of scientists after a group of scientists have been fighting with the virus for speed and patience. They have successfully conquered one virus after another with their strong belief and perseverance.
Shi Zhengli’s research team has been collecting more than 15,000 bat samples in China and Africa for ten years to track the source of SARS virus, and has isolated many new viruses.
Shi Zhengli, Vice Director, Wuhan P4 Lab, Director of Center for Research on Emerging Infectious Diseases: “After more than a decade of research, we have proven that the SARS virus originated from bats. In addition, we have also found that bats carry a variety of other viruses, such as adenovirus, filovirus, and other types of coronaviruses. Our findings provide an important basis for the prevention and control of emerging infectious diseases in the future.”
The Xinjiang hemorrhagic fever virus is the only virulent source of natural epidemic infection found in China. Over the years, Hu Zhihong’s research team has collected more than 50,000 tick samples in Xinjiang and other regions. Through inoculation of suckling mice, they isolated three new strains of Xinjiang hemorrhagic fever virus from samples of hyalomma asiaticum.
Yuan Zhiming, Director, Wuhan P4 Lab: “The history of human development is a history of human struggle with infectious diseases, and now new and re-emerging infectious diseases continue to emerge, with unprecedented impact on global and regional economic and social development, as well as global public health security. We in science are dealing with viruses every day in order to study these viruses and to find techniques and methods to control their prevalence and outbreaks.”
Aggregation‧ Here, we are most powerful because we put our strength together
As the first biosafety level 4 laboratory in China, it plays an irreplaceable role as the core technology platform in our biosafety prevention system, and is an essential and great scientific installation for the research of virulent viruses. The safety of equipment and facilities has become the top priority of the laboratory construction.
Tong Xiao, Head of Equipment Maintenance and Assurance Department, Wuhan P4 Lab: “P4 laboratory research activities are mainly conducted inside the structure of two layers of enclosure structures. The enclosure structure and the external walls of the building together form a box within a box.
“Inside such a protection system, in order to protect the containment structure and biosafety, the first, third and fourth floors are equipped with corresponding biosafety equipment.
“The first floor is mainly equipped with power supply system, life support system, and sewage treatment system, while the 3rd and 4th floors where we are located are mainly equipped with ventilation control system, and our air filtration system.
“The technical design and key equipment of our P4 laboratories are integrated with international advanced technology.”
Song Donglin, Vice Director, Wuhan P4 Lab of Chinese Academy of Sciences: “This is our central control room. The staff in the central control room always maintain timely communication with the laboratory staff to provide the necessary technical support for their experiments, and when accidents happen, to ensure the normal operation and safety of the laboratory.”
Tong Xiao, Head of Equipment Maintenance and Assurance Department, Wuhan P4 Lab: “Our country’s P4 laboratory construction started late, but the standard is higher. The enclosure structure of our laboratory is independently developed by our team. It is a lightweight enclosure structure supported by lightweight steel keel. The use of full laser welding assembly technology solved the issues of installation of equipment and sealing technology. Its biosafety protection performance is among the top of the P4 laboratories in operation worldwide.”
The construction of Wuhan P4 laboratory is not only the construction of hardware, sound and perfect laws, regulations and guidance standards. The training of qualified personnel and the construction of a complete biosafety system is equally important.
Only perfect hardware, software and high-level biosafety management team can ensure the safe and efficient operation of the laboratory.
Song Donglin, Vice Director, Wuhan P4 Lab of Chinese Academy of Sciences: “When we first accepted the construction task in 2004, our country had no experience in the design and construction of P4 laboratories, lacked experience in the use and management of autoclave sterilizers and life support systems for personnel protection, and the national technical regulations were in the process of improvement.
“The Sino-French cooperation experienced a fierce clash of different ideas and cultural backgrounds, and we worked hard for more than ten years to complete the construction of the laboratory together.
“From 2 to 3 people at the beginning of the construction, we have gradually expanded and trained a team of about 30 people to manage the life safety of the laboratory and operate and maintain the equipment to ensure the safe operation of the laboratory.”
The P4 team, on the basis of summarizing more than one year of trial operation work, compiled about 500,000 words, including biosafety management manuals, procedure documents, operation instructions, SOP record sheets, and risk assessment reports in the complete management system documents.
Yuan Zhiming, Director, Wuhan P4 Lab: “The laboratory not only should have reliable physical facilities and strict management system, but more importantly, a professional management, operation and research team should be established through various training and exercises to ensure the safe operation and effective utilization of the laboratory. Through the cooperation among various teams and in practice, we will continue to find and establish suitable operation and management methods and mechanisms for this laboratory, so as to build the laboratory into an aircraft carrier with comprehensive combat capability in the field of infectious diseases and bio-safety.”
Adherence. Here, we want to make the flower of life never fade
Ten years to sharpen a sword, it is this perseverance and unyielding that forged the construction of Wuhan P4 laboratory. At present, the laboratory has obtained the China National Accreditation Service for Conformity Assessment (CNAS) accreditation, and the pathogenic research accreditation from the National Health Planning Commission, becoming the first P4 laboratory in China to meet international standards for operation.
General Secretary Xi Jinping pointed out that the construction of P4 laboratory is of great importance to China’s public health, and the construction of P4 laboratory is a great symbol of Sino-French cooperation in health affairs.
Vice Premier Liu Yandong pointed out that it is an important part of the national security system and will certainly contribute to the protection of people’s health and world peace.
In the future, the Wuhan Institute of Virology of the Chinese Academy of Sciences will build a world-class large-scale science and technology sharing platform integrating higher-level biosafety laboratories, biological resources and big data center, integrate and develop biosafety technologies and equipment, create cross-science innovation platform, provide irreplaceable conditions and system services for biosafety research in China. It will take the lead in establishing a leading international biosafety research center and national laboratory, and make new significant contributions to promote sustainable socio-economic development.
Now, what do you think after watching the whole thing? Feel free to type in your thoughts.
My takeaways are the following:
First of all, it does prove that they kept live bats in the lab. Let’s see a few screenshots again in case you didn’t catch them.
Let’s show Picture 2. This one is really a little bit terrifying, right? With a bat on this researcher’s face. And here the video says that Shi Zhengli’s team has been collecting more than 15,000 bat samples, and has isolated many new types of viruses.
Now let’s show Picture 3. This one shows somebody feeding the bat with a worm. Not sure whether this person is Shi Zhengli herself. Anyway, when this frame was on, Shi Zhengli was saying that they had found many types of coronavirus in bats. We all know that the CCP virus, or COVID19 is also a type of coronavirus, rights?
Now let’s show picture 4 and 5. These two photos show that live bats were kept in the lab when they filmed the video.
Then we must ask: Why did Shi Zhengli and World Health Organisation investigator Peter Daszak deny that there were bats in the Wuhan lab? What did they want to hide?
The second takeaway is, since this video claims that they have a very strict and flawless management system installed in the lab, including biosafety management manuals, procedure documents, operation instructions, SOP, standard operating procedure, record sheets, and risk assessment reports, etc, the world, or the next serious investigation team should demand the Wuhan lab to show all of these documents, especially the SOP record sheets.
They should also have kept a work log. We need to know who was in the lab, what kinds of research was done, what kind of procedures, or precautions were taken to prevent the viruses from leaking from the lab, who was checking the safety issues, etc.
The third takeaway is, this video says that the Wuhan lab has obtained accreditation from both China National Accreditation Service for Conformity Assessment and the National Health Planning Commission. I think we need to know what kind of documents were provided, what kind of procedures were taken for the Wuhan P4 lab to be granted accreditation? Who gave it the accreditations? And under what kind of standard?
The fourth takeaway is, the video mentions that there have been intense “clashes” between the Chinese and French side in terms of how to build the lab, and the Chinese team didn’t know how to build it, nor did they have any experience on how to do it, and it took them more than 10 years to build the lab, etc.
Maybe you want to say, are you kidding me? You are building the highest level biosafety lab to study, or maybe create the most dangerous viruses, yet you don’t know how to build it? You “independently” figured out how to do it?
Actually early last year, there have been a lot of reports about the problems with the construction of the lab.
According to a report of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, the idea of building a P4 lab first came into being in 2003, right after the SARS outbreak.
Yuan Zhiming, the guy we just saw in the video, was entrusted with this task. By the way, at that time Yuan was a visiting scholar at the University of Illinois in the US.
Yuan went to France to seek technology as China didn’t have it, and reached an initial agreement in April 2003 with Claudie Haigneré, the French Minister of Research and New Technologies.
In July 2003, the Chinese Academy of Sciences signed an agreement with Wuhan City to build a P4 lab together.
In Oct 2004, during the visit of then French President Chirac to Beijing, France and China formally signed an agreement of cooperation.
So that’s the report of the Chinese Academy of Sciences.
However, in France, the idea encountered a lot of opposition. Some French experts feared that the Chinese would use the technology provided by France to develop chemical weapons.
Another major problem was, also initially it was decided that the construction of the lab should be done by a French contractor RTV.
However, Chinese authorities switched the work to a local Wuhan company called IPPR.
According to the information of French intelligence, IPPR had close ties to subsidies of the Chinese military, some of which were already targets of concern by the American CIA.
That’s why French intelligence advised strongly against the cooperation.
Because of all these “intensive clashes”, the construction was delayed again and again, and only in 2017, more than 10 years after China and French signed the agreement, did the P4 lab finally start operation.
There was also another major problem, the Chinese side has repeatedly broken its promises over the course of more than a decade of cooperation. For example, the Chinese side initially promised to build just one laboratory in Wuhan, but later it turned out that they had built multiple labs, and some of them were very suspicious.
On Jan 28 last year, Radio Free Asia reported that Li Yuan, a former project executive of the Chinese Red Cross said that the Chinese side had added things to the lab that the French side was not aware of. He seriously doubted the quality of the lab, especially whether the designed negative pressure, the “black hole” that was supposed to hold the virus from escaping, was working properly. If not, the virus could escape.
Chinese language media New Tang Dynasty TV also reported on Feb 2 last year that the construction drawings of the P4 lab provided by France were modified by the Chinese side during the construction process without consulting the French said, and this violated the agreement with France.
Also, multiple P4 labs were secretly replicated. The critical virus recovery function could be lost as a result, increasing the risk of leakage.
Now, let’s talk about another very suspicious matter. On Jan 26, 2020, 3 days after Wuhan was locked down because of pandemic, Chen Wei, a PLA general, China’s chief biochemical weapon expert, and director of the Institute of Biological Engineering at the Academy of Military Medical Sciences, was sent to Wuhan to take over the full control of the Wuhan P4 lab.
Screenshot of a Chinese language report.
The CCP’s media say this is to give the people in Wuhan peace of mind and make them feel safer.
We have to ask, if the Wuhan lab is really the best with everything perfectly designed, everything under control, why should China’s chief biochemical weapon expert be sent there to take over it? Why didn’t the CCP ask Shi Zhengli to take the lead of the disease control effort instead, as Shi Zhengli was already in Wuhan, while Chen Wei was in Beijing, more than 700 miles away?
A reasonable guess is, the CCP knew something had gone terribly wrong in the Wuhan lab, and Chen Wei was sent over to clean up the mess, to destroy the evidence and to cover up everything. The CCP didn’t trust the Wuhan lab anymore.
Another possibility is, the military had been working together with the Wuhan lab in the first place. Remember we just said that despite the opposition of the French side, the CCP asked a Chinese company that has a military background and connections to build the lab?
So, if the military and the Wuhan lab were working together, you needed of course to rescue your partner when it was in trouble.
Another very suspicious thing is: When exactly did Chen Wei get her first shot of Chinese vaccine?
According to Chinese media, Chen Wei said that early morning, at 4:00 am on Feb 29, 2020, the first batch of vaccine arrived in Wuhan, she and other 6 CCP members received the vaccine that was developed by “ourselves” in front of a CCP flag.
Screenshot of a report by Chinese media. The Chinese characters say Chen Wei said that early morning, at 4:00 am on Feb 29, 2020, the first batch of vaccine arrived in Wuhan, she and other 6 CCP members received the vaccine that was developed by “ourselves” in front of a CCP flag.
Let’s see two photos. This one shows Chen Wei receiving an injection in front of the CCP flag.

This one shows Chen Wei and the other 6 CCP members standing in front of the CCP flag before or after they received the vaccine.
Chen Wei and the other 6 CCP members standing in front of the CCP flag before or after they received the vaccine.
These two photos were circulated widely last year. But later when people questioned how a vaccine could be developed so fast, as Feb 29 was only about one month after Wuhan was locked down, some Chinese media, as well as the government website of Huangshi City in Hubei Province said the news about Chen Wei receiving vaccine was fake. The photo of Chen Wei getting a shot was taken before she went to Wuhan, she was not getting a vaccine shot, but only getting some drug to boost her immunity.
This report says news about Chen Wei receiving the vaccine is fake news.
A report from the official website of Huangshi City in Hubei Province also says the photo is not about Chen Wei receiving the vaccine. What she received was immunity boosting drug.
However, an official report on March 4 this year still says that Chen Wei and 6 other CCP members got the first shot of Chinese vaccine on Feb 29, 2020. The title of the report you are seeing is, “Chen Wei: The most Glorious Moment Was When the First Vaccine Dose Was Injected into My Body.”

So, we have to ask: When exactly did Chen Wei get the first shot? If it was really on Feb 29, 2020, why did they say the photos were fake last year? Is it really possible for a vaccine to be developed in only one month? If not, when did they start to develop it? When did they have the data of the virus to develop the vaccine?
Well, I think there are still too many questions to ask surrounding this Wuhan lab, the virus and the pandemic. But I am afraid that I have been talking for too long today. So I’ll stop for now.

Hello, everyone, welcome to “Inconvenient Truths”. I am your host Jennifer Zeng.
Several days ago, the Chinese Communist Party, the CCP, passed an “Anti-Foreign Sanctions Law” to fight back any sanctions imposed by other countries. Today let’s talk about what’s inside this law, how it will affect businesses both inside and outside China, why the CCP passed such a law at such a time, and what kind of consequences it may bring to the CCP.
Before we move on, please subscribe to my channel if you haven’t. Please also remember to turn on the notification bell so that you get notified when new shows are coming. Otherwise, just remember I am doing live shows every Monday and Thursday at the same time, that is, 8:00 pm EST.
In the past few days, a Virginia mom became very popular by likening what’s happening in the US now to China’s Cultural Revolution, a tragedy that had killed 7 million, some say up to 20 million people in China. There has been quite a lot of media that covered her story.
Actually, I did a program one year ago, comparing what was happening in the US with China’s Cultural Revolution from 9 different aspects. I’d say I was again one year earlier than the mainstream media in terms of realizing and speaking out about some very worrying social phenomena in the US.
But you know what? YouTube has ridiculously put an “age restriction” on this video. Even when I share it on social media, what people see is a black box with a warning message to scare people away.
They also don’t allow ads on this video to suppress my channel. So I do need more people to help me to fight censorship.
Now, let’s move on to our topic today: What is inside the CCP’s “Anti-Foreign Sanctions Law”?
This law was passed by the CCP’s rubber stamp congress on June 10. If I am not wrong, it is the CCP’s second shortest law. It has 16 articles, and only about 1100 words. The main message is, if any country dares to interfere with China’s internal affairs with any excuses or means, the CCP will fight back.
How does it fight back?
It will adopt counter sanction measures against entities and individuals, including their spouses and immediate family members, who are involved in sanctioning the CCP.
And the counter sanction measures include:
One, denial of visa, denial of entry, cancellation of visa or deportation;
Two, seizure and freezing of all your assets in China;
Three, prohibit or restrict organizations and individuals in China to carry out transactions, cooperation and other activities with the sanctioned entities and individuals.
Four, “Other necessary measures”. There is no explanation as to what are “other necessary measures”, so it’s all up to the CCP to decide what the “other necessary measures” are when it applies the law.
Article 11 says that any organization and individuals inside China should implement the countermeasures that the CCP adopts to fight back against other countries’ sanctions.
Article 12 says no organizations or individuals may implement or assist in the implementation of discriminatory restrictive measures taken by foreign countries against Chinese citizens and organizations.
Article 14 says any organizations and individuals who do not implement, do not cooperate with the implementation of the CCP’s anti-sanction countermeasures, will be held legally responsible.
Article 15 says, for foreign countries, organizations or individuals, who implement, assist, or support acts that endanger the CCP’s sovereignty, security and interests, when necessary anti-sanction countermeasures need to be implemented, the law can be a reference as to how to implement countermeasures.
I think this article was purposely written this way so that it was difficult for people to understand. But the meaning is very simple: for any foreign countries, organizations and individuals, if the CCP thinks you have endangered its sovereignty, security and interests, it will punish you. Just as simple as that.
This law has already become effective on June 10, immediately after it was passed.
Now, let’s talk about the possible consequences of the law.
First of all, it gives multinational companies a huge sense of insecurity, making it much easier to break the laws of both China and other countries.
For example, the United States sanctions some Chinese companies, requiring U.S. investors not to invest in enterprises with a CCP military background, you have to divest, sell the shares, and bonds of these Chinese companies, etc.
However, Article 15 of the CCP’s “Anti-Foreign Sanctions Law” says if you implement, assist, or support acts that endanger the CCP’s sovereignty, security and interests, you become a target for the CCP’s countermeasures.
But if you do not implement the U.S. law, it is illegal in the United States.
Let’s use the HSBC bank as an example.
When the US was investigating whether the CCP’s company Huawei had sold prohibited products to Iran, it needed HSBC to cooperate with the investigation. HSBC needed to provide Huawei’s transaction records to the US. If it refused, it would be violating US law. So it cooperated.
That’s how the US was able to arrest Huawei’s CFO Meng Wanzhou.
However, after the CCP’s “Anti-Foreign Sanctions Law” was passed, HSBC will be considered as having cooperated with a foreign country’s sanction against the CCP, and damaging the CCP’s interest. So it may become a target of CCP’s countermeasures.
So what can HSBC do?
On the one hand, it relies heavily on the East Asian market; on the other hand, it relies on the US bank clearing system. If it is not allowed to use this system, its business will be game over.
So what can it do? It’s really a dilemma, right?
The same situation exists for the international military-industrial chain.
For example, companies that sell arms to Taiwan can also be targeted, such as Lockheed Martin, which produces the F-16 jets, Boeing, which produces anti-ship missiles, General Dynamics, which produces tanks. Even these companies’ civil products and departments can also be targeted by the CCP.
Not only them, but also their suppliers including component manufacturers, software companies, and chip makers, etc, can all be regarded for assisting and supporting acts that “endanger the CCP’s sovereignty, security and interests.”
The vagueness of the CCP’s Anti-Foreign Sanctions Law also makes it more threatening, as you don’t know where the boundaries are.
So more companies may start considering leaving China, or hesitate about going inside China, or doing business with China.
So this law will practically help more countries to decouple with China.
Another immediate consequence of this law is that it threatens Hong Kong’s status as an international financial center.
You know, although not many westerners have assets in CCP’s China, many people do have assets in Hong Kong. But Hong Kong has almost been turned into a city of CCP’s China. So the CCP could also push to have the same law be implemented in Hong Kong, and that would accelerate the withdrawal of international capital from Hong Kong.
So again, this law could accelerate the decoupling between other countries and China, especially between the US and China.
Let’s demonstrate this from another angle.
For example, after the United States imposed sanctions on Huawei, China’s biggest chipmaker Semiconductor Manufacturing International Corporation (SMIC) could not sell chips to Huawei. However, if it does not sell chips to Huawei, according to CCP’s new Anti-Foreign Sanctions Law, it will be violating the CCP’s law.
If it is forced to sell chips to Huawei, the US could impose sanctions on it too. As a result, all international companies that have cooperation with SMIC can only stop the cooperation.
The impact on Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company(TSMC) can be bigger. According to the US sanctions order, TSMC can’t supply chips to Huawei anymore, but it can continue to supply to other Chinese cell phone makers such as Xiaomi.
Now, according to the CCP’s Anti-Foreign Sanctions Law, TSMC will become a target of retaliation by the CCP, and TSMC’s business in China will probably be frozen, and all Chinese businesses cannot do business with TSMC either. So the result will be, even Xiaomi and other Chinese companies may not get chips from TSMC.
So that’s why we said that this new law will accelerate the decoupling between other countries and China, something that hasn’t been achieved via the trade war and technology war before.
Actually, many Chinese commentators said that Xi Jinping is indeed the “Chief Accelerator” who is accelerating the speed of the CCP’s demise.
Now, let’s talk about why the CCP passed such a law now?
First of all, it shows that Xi Jinping is really feeling a tremendous amount of pressure.
The idea of making such a law was first proposed by Xi Jinping last November. After only 7 months, it was passed by the CCP’s congress, without any public consultation process.
Why couldn’t the CCP wait longer?
We know that on June 8, the U.S. Senate passed the U.S. Innovation and Competition Act, which includes a $250 billion budget to support U.S. high-tech industries to compete with the CCP.
This is a sign that in the US, more and more people are determined to resist the CCP.
Only 2 days after the US senator passed the bill, the CCP’s Anti-Foreign Sanctions Law came to the forefront. So you can say CCP’s new law is an “eye for an eye” reaction to the US.
Also, more and more countries are calling for a thorough investigation into the origin of the CCP virus. This also made the CCP feel greatly threatened.
Another reason is that the CCP fears that more countries will start imposing sanctions on the CCP, so it installed such a law in advance, to scare other countries, to achieve a deterrent effect.
Also, as the US government has given a 90 day deadline for a report about the origin of the COVID19 to be delivered. If the conclusion is that the virus was released, or leaked from the Wuhan lab, more and more countries could demand compensation and impose sanctions on the CCP. So we can say the CCP passed such a law in a panic mood.
Another notable event recently is that people are mocking about the CCP’s “new red lines”.
On June 6, three U.S. senators arrived in Taiwan on a U.S. Air Force freighter, to meet with President Tsai Ing-wen to discuss security and other issues. They also announced that the US would donate 750,000 doses of CCP virus vaccine to Taiwan.
Some amazing photos of the US Air Force C-17 flying over Taipei City have been circulated on the Internet, such as this one showing the magnificent aircraft flying over Taiwan’s landmark building 101 Tower, and this one, showing the aircraft flying over another landmark building, the Grand Hotel, Taipei.

Netizens in both China and Taiwan immediately realized that for a US military aircraft to land in Taiwan, it is not a small matter. It has definitely stepped on the CCP’s “red line.”
People still remember that 3 years ago, in 2018, the CCP’s deputy commander of the Nanjing Military Region Wang Hongguang said that if the US troops dared to go to Taiwan, the CCP’s army will invade and take over Taiwan in 3 days.
Li Kexin, CCP’s deputy chief of mission at the CCP’s Embassy in the United States also told the U.S. Congress three years ago that the day when the U.S. sent warships to Taiwan, would be the day when the CCP’s army would unify Taiwan by force.
However, this time, when the US military aircraft did go to Taiwan, the CCP had been quiet for several days, saying nothing.
So some netizens made up some new threat for the CCP, which is, “If you dare to cross our red line, you will meet a new red line!”
Funny, right? Yet nobody knows what that new red line really is.
Recently there is another big change in the CCP’s foreign policy and international propaganda strategy. Xi Jinping said that the CCP should now create a “credible, lovable and respectable image of China,” and big money will be spent to achieve this.
This reminds people of the CCP’s first generation leader Mao Zedong’s famous declaration, “All reactionaries are paper tigers”. Now people have started to realize that the real paper tiger is instead the CCP.
Well, that’s all for today’s “Inconvenient Truths”. Thank you very much for watching. Please subscribe to and share my channel, like my videos and leave us some comments to give me a boost.
Thank you. See you on Thursday!

Hello, everyone, welcome to “Inconvenient Truths”. I am your host Jennifer Zeng.
An audience member asked me a while ago: How many people have been vaccinated in China? Well, today I will answer this question, and give you a comprehensive overview of the vaccination situation in China, as well as the Chinese vaccines, including its effectiveness, or ineffectiveness, and the huge profits behind it.
Up to now, more than 700 million vaccine doses have been administered in China; but so far, the Chinese government has not announced any vaccine related deaths, although there were 80 deaths after vaccination in Hong Kong where the same Chinese vaccine was shipped.
In the meantime, the Hong Kong government just announced that it would no longer count post-vaccination deaths that do not have a strong correlation to COVID-19 vaccines. And this has raised a lot of eyebrows. A Virology expert said that the phase 3 clinical trial of the Chinese vaccines has two major problems. And I will talk about this in detail later.
The number of 700 million doses was announced by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP)’s mouthpiece Xinhua news agency. It says that as of June 2, the number of vaccinations in China had exceeded 700 million doses, going from 600 million to 700 million in just five days. And they call it “China Speed ”.
However, with such a large number of vaccinations, the first official report on adverse reactions to vaccination was only released by Chinese CDC on May 28.
Do you see the picture? That is all in the report. With such a huge matter, the report is only one page, perhaps some 200 words. Do you think they are serious about this matter?
One page report of China CDC about adverse reactions of the vaccines.
Anyway, the report says that by the end of April, 265 million doses of Chinese vaccines had been administered, with 31,434 adverse reactions. Among them, there were only 188 serious cases.
However, the report did not mention the specific symptoms and did not announce any death cases.
Although the CCP has not announced any deaths after vaccination, news of serious abnormal reactions among mainlanders continues to spread, and one recipient died very quickly after receiving the vaccine.
A staff member of China’s CDC system, Ms. Lan, told Radio Free China, that a resident at Ningjing County in Hebei Province died only 5 minutes after receiving the Chinese vaccine on May 31. Two other residents showed very serious reactions and had to be sent to the ICU ward of No. 3 Hospital in Shijiazhuang City on the same day.
Ms. Lan said that there was another serious incident that happened on June 1 at the vaccination site at the Sports Center of Hebei province.
The Epoch Times has obtained an internal report from the Hebei CDC’s Immunization Planning Institute. The report was issued in April. Its title is: “Monthly Analysis of COVID-19 Vaccine AEFI (Adverse Events Following Immunization) in Hebei Province. ”
Internal report from the Hebei CDC’s Immunization Planning Institute. The report was issued in April. Its title is: “Monthly Analysis of COVID-19 Vaccine AEFI (Adverse Events Following Immunization) in Hebei Province.”
The report says that in Hebei Province, a total of 11,900,189 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine were administered from Dec. 2 last year to April 30 this year, with 1,542 cases of AEFI reported, of which nine people died.
So you see, in Hebei Province alone, there were 9 deaths in 5 months. But the central CDC just doesn’t announce any death cases at all.
Currently, the WHO has approved the emergency use of two Chinese vaccines: CoronaVac made by Sinovac, and BIBP made by Sinopharm, which is also called China National Pharmaceutical Group.
However, Ms. Lan revealed that the data provided by the CCP to the WHO was falsified, and that the rate of adverse reactions to vaccines in China was much higher than the data released by the CDC.
The interim phase 3 clinical trial report of the Sinopharm vaccine was finally published in the Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA) on May 26, while the trial report of the Sinovac vaccine is still in preprint.
Dr. Dong Yuhong, a European expert on virology and infectious diseases, and a chief scientist at a biotechnology company, recently gave an interview to The Epoch Times regarding this trial report. She said that there are two major problems here.
First, in a phase 3 clinical trial, the most important thing is to observe the protective power of the vaccine for the elderly, yet only 5 percent of the participants were elderly people when they did the trial in Brazil, and less than 2 percent in the trial in the Middle East.
Dong Yuhong said, the young population is the least easy to be infected. If you only get your numbers from young people, can these numbers reflect the true protection ability of the vaccine?
Another problem is, usually, when the vaccine enters the body, the general side effects, such as fever and fatigue, caused by the immune response should be higher than those of a control , or comparison group.
However, the proportion of side effects in the Sinopharm vaccine group is equal to or even lower than that of the control group, which leads people to wonder, has the Sinopharm vaccine really induced an immune response? Are there really enough antibodies produced in the recipients’ bodies?
These were all the questions Dr. Dong Yuhong asked.
According to The Wall Street Journal, data from Serbia, where the Sinopharm vaccine was administered, showed that as many as 29 percent of the 150 participants with an average age over 65 had no antibodies three months after receiving the second dose. Local academics questioned the adequacy of the Sinopharm vaccine to protect the elderly.
The East African island nation of Seychelles and the Middle Eastern island nation of Bahrain both experienced a significant increase in infections despite high levels of inoculation with the Sinopharm vaccine.
According to the government of Guangdong Province in China, at present, in Guangzhou, Shenzhen, and other cities the vaccination coverage rate among the 18-59 year-old target population is more than 70 percent.
But recently, there have been serious surges of the mutated strain of the CCP virus cases in Guangzhou and Shenzhen, as well as the surrounding Foshan, Maoming, Southwest Guangxi, Nanning, and other cities.
Lei Chunliang, the director of the No. 8 Hospital Affiliated with Guangzhou Medical University, revealed that as of June 1, the hospital had admitted more than 50 local patients with COVID-19, and four of the newly infected had already received the first dose of vaccine.
While the new cases were surging, and when it was a good time for the vaccine to play its role, Longhua District in Shenzhen City suddenly announced on June 6 that vaccinations would be suspended. The authorities didn’t explain why.
On May 31, Guangzhou City also announced that the vaccinations would be halted. Vice mayor Li Ming said there were two reasons for this decision. First, the city needed to focus on the testing; second, the city needed to prevent crowds from gathering to reduce the risk of cross infection.
However, footage from Guangzhou shows tens of thousands of people were gathering without sufficient social distancing as they lined up for the testing.
While the suspension of vaccination has caused doubts as to the effectiveness of Chinese vaccines, Gao Fu, the director of China CDC, said at a conference of the Chinese Academy of Sciences that human beings need to learn to “live in peace with the virus and slowly get used to such a life” as the COVID-19 pandemic is becoming more and more like influenza.
He said, “After we all get used to the flu, and flu happens every year, and that’s called a normal life.”
He then stressed that after herd immunity was established because of the vaccinations, the focus on dealing with COVID-19 would no longer be how to prevent infection, but how to prevent deaths and serious symptoms and reduce the burden that the disease causes.
When people asked why people still got infected after receiving the vaccine, Shao Yiming, another expert from China CDC said that China’s vaccines have three levels of protection, the first level is to protect you from being infected, the second level is to protect you from getting sick after being infected, and the third level is to prevent you from infecting others after you get infected.
Therefore , as it is possible that you will still get infected after you receive the vaccine, as the vaccine is doing the level 2 and level 3 protection for you instead of level 1 protection.
Well, the above is pretty much his original words and explanation.
So, did you learn anything new? I did. I learned that the function of the Chinese vaccine is NOT to protect you from being infected, but to protect you from getting sick, or prevent you from infecting others.
This is really something NEW to me. And that’s pretty much what you can get from a CCP expert.
Because of the lack of transparency in the data, there is no way to know whether the Chinese vaccines can really prevent serious symptoms and deaths in China.
However, the number of deaths in Latin America, which heavily relies on the Chinese vaccine, has exceeded one million.
According to the Pan American Health Organization, countries including Chile, El Salvador, Brazil, and Uruguay rely almost entirely on Chinese vaccines. As of May 14, 65 percent of vaccines administered in 26 Latin American countries came from China.
Among these countries, Brazil has the second highest covid death toll in the world, with nearly 480,000 deaths, and the third highest infections of more than 17 million as of today, June 10.
Brazil’s Minister of Economy Paulo Guedes said at a meeting of the Brazilian Health Council on April 27, “The Chinese invented the virus and its vaccine is less effective than the American vaccine.”
Former U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said in an interview with Zooming in China hosted by my friend Simone Gao, “When they (China) deliver PPE across the world that doesn’t work. They now have a vaccine that they’re attempting to ship all across the world. I’ll leave it to professionals to determine how effective that is.”
Pompeo said he wants all vaccines to be effective, but finds it very hard to trust the Chinese Communist regime and prefers to use Western vaccines to protect his family.
Sinovac Biotech’s Net Profit in Q1 Could Reach $1.57 Billion
As of today, June 10, worldwide, more than 3.75 million people have died from COVID-19 and over 174 million have been diagnosed with the disease. We can definitely say that all these deaths and infections are caused by the CCP.
However, with the endorsement of the World Health Organization (WHO), the CCP has transformed itself from a virus spreader to a vaccine provider, and has embarked on vaccine diplomacy to play the role of the savior of the world.
Li Xingqian, the head of the foreign trade department of China’s Ministry of Commerce said in an interview with the CCP mouthpiece CCTV that China has exported vaccines to more than 40 countries and has been encouraging four vaccine manufacturers to actively expand exports.
On May 11, Liu Peicheng, the press spokesman of Sinavac’s parent company Sinovac Biotech, revealed that according to incomplete statistics, the total global supply of Sinavac vaccine is at 380 million doses.
According to the estimates by several securities companies in China, Sinovac Biotech’s net profit in the first quarter of 2021 could be as high as $1.57 billion, based on a net profit of about $7.83 per dose.
Now, let’s see a picture of Sinovac Biotech’s share price in Shanghai Stock Exchange. The picture you are seeing shows the price change since March. The red color presents an increase of the price. The CCP likes red, so in China, if you see the red color, that’s an increase, not decrease. This is opposite to the meaning in the US.
Sinovac Biotech’s share price in Shanghai Stock Exchange.
Did you see the big surge on June 1? On May 6, its lowest price was 31.65 yuan, and on June 1, its highest price hit 47.51 yuan. That was a 50% increase in 26 days.
So, while the world is suffering, the CCP is making huge money.
On June 1, the Hong Kong government announced that they would only count deaths that are “potentially” related to vaccination. And this has caused a lot of criticism.
Dr. Ma Chung Yee, president of the Hong Kong Public Medical Doctors Association, said, “People die every day whether they get vaccinated or not, and there is no reason why there is not a single death case [in China] after hundreds of millions of people have been vaccinated.”
She said that if the Hong Kong government followed the CCP’s approach, from now on there wouldn’t be any death cases being reported in Hong Kong as well, and this proves once again Hong Kong has become “one country, one system” with China.
According to the Hong Kong Hospital Authority, from May 24 to May 30, 12 more deaths and 4 miscarriages after vaccination occurred in Hong Kong.
This brings the total death number to 80, miscarriages 23, strokes 244, and myocardial infarction to 90 as of May 30.
People of Hong Kong have been questioning the government’s reporting decision.
Cheng Chung-tai, Member of the Legislative Council, and Chairman of Civic Passion, said that the government is purposely covering up things that cannot bear the light of day.
When responding to the policy change, Carrie Lam, Chief Executive of Hong Kong, said, “Whenever it is announced that a person has passed away, and that person has received the vaccine a while ago, it gives a wrong impression [about the vaccination]. This may affect the public’s confidence [in the vaccine].”
She said the policy change was to avoid “unnecessary misunderstandings” caused by “the release of information, or some kind of expressions or reports.”
In Hong Kong, only about 21 percent of people have been vaccinated since the large-scale vaccinations started on February 26 this year.
The vaccination rate of Hong Kong’s medical staff is also not high. The Hospital Authority revealed that only one-third of medical staff have received vaccinations.
An official warned on May 25 that Hong Kong may soon have to throw away millions of vials of vaccine as they are about to expire because not enough people are registered to receive them.
The Hong Kong government responded on the same day that, as of May 24, 840,000 doses of vaccine in Hong Kong will expire in mid-August, and if they are not used up by then, they may be donated to other places.
Well, I think this 21 percent vaccination rate in Hong Kong reflects how little the public trusts the government and the CCP. I am not sure whether the government can gain a little bit more trust after they stopped releasing vaccine-related deaths. Probably not.
That’s all for today’s “Inconvenient Truths”. I hope you like the program today. Please don’t forget to subscribe to my channels, and share my videos as widely as you can.

Exclusive: Leak at Taishan, Suicide of Top Nuclear Power Expert & The CCP’s Dangerous Ambition
Hello, everyone, welcome to “Inconvenient Truths”. I am your host Jennifer Zeng.
A while ago there was a leak in China’s Taishan Nuclear Power Plant, which is very close to Hong Kong. The leak has caused a lot of media attention, and a viewer asked me to talk about it. So today I will not only talk about the incident itself, but will also talk about a suicide that could have some connection with the leak. No other English media has covered this. So this is my exclusive report.
I will then give you an in-depth coverage of the CCP’s ambitious “nuclear dream”, and explain why the world should be very worried about it.
I will also give you a quick update about the issues surrounding the defection of CCP’s top counterintelligence official Dong Jingwei.
Before we move on, please make sure you subscribe to and share my channel.
One viewer left a comment on my last show, saying that “I am really surprised why this channel has so less subscribers and so less likes… really surprising.. I think people cannot digest truth neither convenient or inconvenient”.
And my reply is: “I think we need to thank YouTube for this too…”
Another viewer said, “Hi Jennifer, I conducted a little experiment on your channel. I had three identical devices watching your broadcast at the same time. I hit a like on one device but it didn’t register on the other two. I then did the same on the other two devices and the same thing happened. Also the number of people watching was different on each device. The number consistently dropped throughout the broadcast on two devices.”
So, you see, we do need to fight hard against the suppression. And thank you very much for your support.
Now, let’s move to our topics today.
Quick Updates about Dong Jingwei’s Alleged Defection
We talked about reports about Dong Jingwei’s defection, and the CCP’s strange responses in our last show.
Since then there have been two major updates.
One is that SpyTalk, which published a story about Dong Jingwen before, was approached by “a U.S. official” who said that the reports about Dong Jingwen were “not accurate”.
Another is that the CCP published a report yesterday (June 23), with a photo that has Dong in it, saying that Dong attended the 16th meeting of the security council secretaries of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization member states.
The report didn’t say where this meeting was held.
When I tweeted about this photo and this report, and asked Jennifer Van Laar what her thought was. She replied by saying that “they finally released a bad photoshop. Also, other countries said China didn’t attend, period. It was to be an in-person mtg so if China instead sent 5 ppl by video link. Xi is afraid of officials leaving China. No other country’s saying ‘we saw Dong’ or ‘we talked to Dong.’ …Try again, CCP.”
By the way, Jennifer Van Laar is the managing editor of Red State, who wrote a detailed report about Dong Jingwei’s defection. We quoted her report in our previous show.
I also asked Solomon Yue’s thoughts about this matter. He replied with another photo that has his image in it, obviously photoshopped, and said that “DIA (Defense Intelligence Agency) still has DongJingwei in its protective custody & he is still singing to celebrate CCP 100th birthday. This picture is photoshopped. now I was told that I was there too.”
Obviously Solomon Yue doesn’t believe the CCP’s report and the photo that has Dong Jingwei’s image in it.
By the way, Solomon Yue is the Vice Chairman & CEO at Republicans Overseas, and a senior member of Republican National Committee. He said he had inside information from the DIA, and actually bet with someone that if the news about Dong Jingwei’s defection is not true, he will resign from his post.
He also doesn’t believe that the SpyTalk’s second report is true.
After some investigation, I found that the meeting was held at Tajikistan. Leaders of other countries attended it physically, but nobody from China was there. Only CCP‘s State Councilor & Minister of Public Security Zhao Kezhi made a video appearance as shown in this photo.
The other photo, please show picture C again was faked by the CCP, together with the report of him attending that meeting.
The CCP also released a video report about the meeting, which shows that Dong was in the meeting. This video looks real.
However, after careful study, I found it can also be faked. Why?
Let’s show Picture J. This is the 9th second of that video. This is the most critical frame, and the only frame in the 30 second video that can show Dong was in the meeting. However, for such a critical shot, they used a still photo, not a video shot. Why? As still photos can easily be photoshopped.
The frame at 9” of the video
Screen of 13”-15” of the video
At 13”-15″ of the video, they did use a clip showing Dong turning some document, but that clip can be chopped from elsewhere, as it doesn’t have all the other people in it.
I myself also do video editing, so I know the tricks of video editing.
So the above is my analysis. Someone left such a comment on my tweet about this matter: “CCP releasing a fake photoshop trying to show Dong Jingwei at a meeting. Having to fake this is even more proof we have Jingwei at the DIA.”
Well, that’s a little bit of a quick update on Dong Jingwei’s defection. Please feel free to make your own investigation and tell us what you find.
The Leak and the Suicide
Now, let’s move to our next topic, and my exclusive findings.
On June 14, CNN reported that there was leak at Taishan nuclear power plant, and its French owner was warned of an “imminent radiological threat”. The US government had been assessing the situation, etc.
By the way, Taishan nuclear power plant is 30% owned by French company Électricité de France, and 70% owned by China Guangdong Nuclear Power Group.
On June 16, when responding to the CNN report, the head of the National Nuclear Safety Administration of China’s Ministry of Environment Department said that “the increase in the level of radioactivity in the first circuit of Unit 1 is mainly related to the breakage of fuel rods”, but “the results of radiation monitoring around the Taishan Nuclear Power Plant show that there is no radiation abnormality in the environment around the plant” and “no leakage has occurred.”
Then, on the following day, that was June 17, a top Chinese Nuclear Power Expert committed suicide.
Let’s show a screenshot of the video of his suicide. I don’t want to play the video as it is too graphic. Anyway, this 11 second video shows that this nuclear power expert was jumping off his office building and killing himself.
The moment before Zhang Zhijian killed himself.
Who was this expert? Let’s show a photo of him. His name was Zhang Zhijian(张志俭). He was 58 years old, and the deputy principal and a professor of nuclear power at Harbin Engineering University. He was also a high-ranking CCP official, a member of the CCP standing committee at this university.
Zhang Zhijian’s profile photo at Baidu.
Public data shows that Zhang held a lot of important academic and administrative offices, including head of the Harbin Engineering University’s College of Nuclear Science and Technology; director of the Nuclear Power Simulation Research Center, one of China’s key national defense labs; chief of the Office of Development and Planning; and an executive director of the Chinese Nuclear Society.
And the Harbin Engineering University has strong ties to the Chinese military.
Historically, it was the predecessor to the People’s Liberation Army Military Institute of Engineering, which was founded with technical support from the former Soviet Union in 1953.
Currently, it’s attached to China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology.
Also, the Harbin Engineering University is sanctioned by the U.S. Department of Commerce. It was listed on the Entity List on May 23, 2020, for its involvement in military activities and weapons of mass destruction.
Now, the question is, why did Zhang Zhijian kill himself?
Let’s show picture 6. This is a screenshot of the Harbin Engineering University’s announcement about his death. It only says that he “unfortunately dropped from the building and passed away at about 9:34 am on June 17.” And the police had ruled out the possibility of murder, and we feel very sorry about his death, etc.
Screenshot of the Harbin Engineering University’s announcement about Zhang Zhijian’s death.
So, there was no explanation about the cause of his death.
An interesting thing is, as early as 2005, Taishan Nuclear Power Plant’s Chinese owner, China Guangdong Nuclear Power Group, signed a cooperation agreement with Harbin Engineering University. According to the agreement, Harbin Engineering University would on the one hand train more talents in nuclear power for China Guangdong Nuclear Power Group, and on the other hand, do more research.
It was said that the cooperation would promote the transformation of scientific research results into productivity through the combination of industry, academia and research.
Several months after the agreement was signed, in December 2005, Harbin Engineering University established its College of Nuclear Science and Technology, and Zhang Zhijian was the head of this college.
Then, two years later, in 2007, China and France signed an agreement to co-build Tashan Nuclear Power Plant.
The construction of Unit 1 and Unit 2 of Tashan Nuclear Power Plant started in 2009, and Unit 1 entered commercial operation on December 13, 2018.
Then, if you check Zhang Zhijian’s bio, you would find that he had been the head of the College of Nuclear Science and Technology for ten years, from 2005 to 2015.
This overlapped with Tashan Nuclear Power Plant‘s design and construction period.
During this period of time, it is very likely that Zhang Zhijian had formed a huge network with China Guangdong Nuclear Power Group and maybe other companies, institutions and officials involved in nuclear energy.
So, Chinese commentator Zhou Xiaohui said in his article that he highly suspected that Zhang Zhijian’s suicide had something to do with the leak of Taishan Nuclear Power Plant, given he killed himself right after the CCP publicly responded to the leak, and given his close ties with China Guangdong Nuclear Power Group, as well as the entire nuclear power industry in China.
Zhou Xiaohui said, maybe Zhang Zhijian had already been questioned by the authorities, or maybe he was given some sort of pressure, or maybe he was too frightened by the incident, or maybe he was afraid that he would be held responsible, or maybe there was something he needed to cover up with his death, etc.
So, what do you think? Taking one’s own life is not an easy decision. Why did he make such a difficult decision as a top nuclear power expert? I do think there are a lot of questions to ask here.
China May Become the No. 1 Nuclear Energy Country by 2030
According to China Nuclear Energy Development Report 2021, as of December 2020, China had 17 nuclear power units under construction, with a total installed capacity of 18.53GW, keeping the world’s largest installed capacity of units under construction for many years.
The CCP began building nuclear power stations in the mid-1980s. The first large commercial nuclear power plant in China, Daya Bay Nuclear Power Station, went into commercial operation in May 1994. This nuclear power plant adjacent to Hong Kong exports roughly 70 percent of its annual electricity into Hong Kong and sells 30 percent to Guangdong.
Since then, the CCP has gradually accelerated the development of nuclear power plants.
Let’s see Picture 9. This is the past and projected future nuclear power capacity. The unit is GW.

By the end of 2020, China’s installed nuclear power capacity has reached 49.89 GW, ranking third in the world behind the United States and France.
In terms of nuclear power generation, China ranked second in the world in 2020, with 366.2 TWh.
In its 14th Five-Year economic development Plan, the CCP stated that China’s nuclear power installation in operation would rapidly increase to 70GW by 2025 and 120GW by 2030.
Currently, there are 62 nuclear power units in China, of which 49 are in operation, mainly in the coastal areas of China.
In the meantime, the U.S., the world’s largest nuclear power country, reached its peak of 102 GW of installed nuclear power in 2012. Its first nuclear unit went into commercial operation in 1969, and has since declined as some units have been retired.
By the end of 2020, U.S. nuclear capacity has fallen to 96.5 GW. At this rate, China is likely to overtake the United States as the world’s top nuclear power producer by 2030.
Let’s show picture 10. So these are the nuclear power plants in China. The map was created by World Nuclear Association

CCP’s Goal: Export Nuclear Energy
Nuclear energy is a strategic industry for the CCP, which has ambitiously exported nuclear energy technology overseas.
On February 26, 2015, Wang Xiaotao, deputy director of the Development and Reform Commission of China, said that the CCP would promote the export of railroads and nuclear power, and develop the international market for major equipment in the railroad and nuclear power industries.
On January 11, 2016, the Central CCP Government wrote on its website, “In our country’s ‘One Belt, One Road’ strategy, nuclear power, like high-speed rail, has the characteristics of high core technology threshold, high initial investment, high industry barriers and scarce industry licenses, and is a strategic industry that the country focuses on supporting.”
“For every nuclear power unit exported, more than 80,000 sets of equipment are needed and more than 200 enterprises are involved in manufacturing and construction, creating about 150,000 jobs and an investment demand of 30 billion yuan ($4.63 billion). Experts estimate that if China can obtain 20 percent of the market share of countries along the ‘Belt and Road,’ i.e. about 30 units for overseas markets, it will directly generate nearly 1 trillion yuan [about $154 billion] of output value and create 5 million jobs.”
According to the World Nuclear Association, the CCP is currently exporting Chinese nuclear power to 12 countries, including Pakistan, Romania, Argentina, the United Kingdom, Iran, Turkey, South Africa, Kenya, Egypt, Sudan, Armenia, and Kazakhstan.
The ambition to export nuclear power technology overseas has pushed the Chinese regime to develop its Generation III nuclear technologies such as the Hualong One Reactor, developed by state-owned China General Nuclear Power Group, and the CAP1400 Reactor, developed by the State Power Investment Corporation.
However, the development of Hualong One, CAP1400, and Chinese nuclear plants were based on foreign technologies.
A report by the CCP’s mouthpiece Xinhua says, “In addition to the self-designed Qinshan I nuclear power plant, China also cooperated with France to build the Daya Bay Nuclear Power Plant, following the route of ‘introduction, digestion and absorption.’.”
The CAP1400 nuclear reactor is based on the US Westinghouse AP1000 technology.
The CCP’s mouthpiece People’s Daily boasted that China has mastered the third generation of nuclear power technology after the United States, France, Russia and other countries, and the level of China’s nuclear power technology has entered the world’s top tier.
Promoting Nuclear Energy Is a Means to “Build a Human Community with a Shared Future”
On Sept. 3, 2019, China’s Information Office of the State Council released the first white paper on nuclear safety. In that white paper, the CCP mentions the need to build “a common community with a shared future for nuclear safety ” to promote the construction of “a human community with a shared future.”
The concept of building a “Human Community with a Shared Future” came from Xi Jinping in 2012 at the CCP’s 18th National Congress.
However, the CCP is pushing ahead with its nuclear power projects without taking safety issues into full consideration.
For example, the Taishan Nuclear Power Plant was built in 2009 using the European Evolutionary Power Reactors (EPRs). This technology was also used in the construction of the Olkiluoto 3 unit in Finland in 2005 and the Flamanville nuclear power station in France in 2007. However, both the Finnish and French plants are currently on hold due to technical and safety standard issues.
In April 2015, the French Nuclear Safety Authority issued a warning to the French company Flamanville about “an anomaly in the composition of the steel in certain zones of the reactor vessel head and reactor vessel bottom head of the Flamanville EPR.”
In 2016, Chinese news portal Sina.com revealed that two EPR reactors at the Taishan plant were reported as having failed pressure vessels.
At the same time, several media outlets reported that the power plant’s French supplier Framatome (formerly known as Areva) said that 400 components were improperly tested for safety.
However, two years later, in 2018, while the EPR units in Finland and France were stalled due to safety concerns, the Chinese Taishan nuclear power station began commercial operation.
Chinese scholar and energy expert Nieh Sen said to the Epoch Times that the CCP takes huge risks in developing nuclear power and “such a dangerous regime is exporting nuclear power plants to the world.”
He said, “At such a time, it is important to know the truth. What is the operational status of the nuclear power plants in China? What is the safety level? All these need urgent global attention.”
Well, that’s all for today’s Inconvenient Truths. Thank you very much for watching! See you next Monday!
