Renmin University of China has deleted a paragraph in Di Dongsheng’s bio page about how he was appointed to promote Xi Jinping’s “reform philosophy and foreign political and economic policies” in Washington DC in 2015, after a video of his speech went viral in the US and other countries.

The deleted paragraph was initially highlighted in red, which says, “In 2015, he was a visiting scholar at Georgetown University and was invited to lecture on China’s reform and China’s economy at various institutions such as the U.S. Department of State, Wall Street hedge funds, the University of Chicago, and the Stevenson Center in Chicago, etc. Prior to General Secretary Xi’s visit to the United States in the fall of 2015, Professor Di was appointed by the Chinese Central Propaganda Department to work with leaders of the State Council Information Office to promote General Secretary Xi’s reform philosophy and foreign political and economic policies to American readers.”

In his viral speech, Di Dongsheng told “a little story” of how a Wall Street elite helped the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) to “reason with(fix)” the onwer of “Politics and Prose” after he refused to give the venue to the CCP for it to do a booklaunch for Xi Jinping piror to his visit to the US.

Di Dongsheng also bragged about how the CCP could fix everything in the US before 2016 as it had its own people at the “top”, at the core inner circle of US politics and influence.

He also openly hinted that the CCP refers Joe Biden to Donald Trump, and that CCP had helped “Biden’s son” to set up global funds”, “there are a lot of deals”, etc.

After Jennifer Zeng translated his 18 minute speech in English and released the video on YouTube on Dec 4, Tucker Carlson played some highlights from the video, and President Trump tweeted the video on Dec 7. There has been a lot of media exposure of Di’s speech eversince.

Di Dongsheng’s speech was soon deleted in all Chinese social media platform, as well as his own YouTube channel.

On Dec. 7, Jennifer Zeng found a 2015 report of People Daily that confirms Di Dongsheng’s “little story” about Xi JInping’s book launch in Washington DC, as well as Di’s involvment.

On Dec 8, Jennifer Zeng released a screenshot of Di Dongsheng’s bio page on Renmen University’s website, which again confirms his involvment.

Renmin University quickly deleted that paragraph. It is not clear when it was deleted. On Dec. 11, when Jennifer checked again, that paragraph is not there.
