When and Whether Can China Become a Manufacturing Powerhouse?

Hello, everyone, welcome to “Inconvenient Truths”. I am your host Jennifer Zeng.

Nice to see you on my second live show. Today I will talk about a very important topic: China’s manufacturing industry. We all know how important the manufacturing industry is for a country. So how about the situation in China? Very surprisingly, during the recent CCP’s annual “Two Sessions” meeting in Beijing, two senior CCP officials seemed to have told us a different story about China’s manufacturing industry. So today I will discuss this.

Admission from Senior CCP Official

A senior CCP official recently admitted that because China’s manufacturing industry is limited by China’s social system, lack of talents and other factors, and because key technologies are controlled by “others”, China needed at least 30 years to achieve the goal of becoming a “manufacturing powerhouse.”

This statement was made by Miao Wei. He is the deputy director of the Economic Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference and former Minister of Industry and Information Technology of China.

He said at a meeting on March 7 that in terms of global manufacturing industry, there are four different levels.

The first level is led by the US, it is the global science and technology innovation center.

The European Union and Japan belong to the second level, and they are at the high-end of manufacturing.

China and other emerging countries can only belong to the third level, which is at the low- and mid-range of the manufacturing industry.

The fourth level consists mainly of resource exporting countries, including OPEC (Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries), Africa, Latin America and other countries.

Miao Wei said, China’s manufacturing industry is “big but not strong, comprehensive but not good”, with weak basic capabilities, while key technologies are still controlled by “others”, not China. So it will take at least 30 years for China to become a manufacturing powerhouse.

Another CCP senior official Si Zefu also agreed that China’s manufacturing industry is “not as good as others” . He is a member of the Standing Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Harbin Electric Corporation.

He said that China’s manufacturing industry had three weaknesses.  They manifest in the following three areas:  innovation capability and innovation level, product quality and branding, management level and efficiency.

Miao Wei also stressed that the GDP contribution of the manufacturing sector fell very fast recently. This not only dragged down China’s economic growth, but also affected urban employment. It will also bring industrial safety risks, weakening the competitiveness of the Chinese economy.

Miao Wei said that in 2020, China’s manufacturing share of GDP was just over a quarter, the lowest level since 2012.

As to the problem of China’s social system, Miao Wei believes that “lack of market-oriented reforms” is the fundamental problem limiting the development of China’s manufacturing industry.

He also thinks that apart from lack of key technologies, China also lacks talents in emerging industries, and this has become an obstacle for improving the overall status of the manufacturing industry.

I must say that he was very bold when he actually dared to say that China lacks market-oriented reforms, and there are problems with China’s social system. This is not obviously what Xi Jinping has been talking about. Xi Jinping always says he has confidence in the CCP’s social system, and he actually wants to promote it to the entire world.

The CCP Seems to Have Abandoned Its Goal of Becoming a Manufacturing Power in 10 Years

In 2015, the CCP proposed the ten-year Made in China 2025 project, envisioning that by 2025, China would have transformed from a big manufacturing country to a manufacturing power, and that by 2035, the country’s manufacturing industry would surpass that of industrially advanced countries like Germany and Japan. The CCP hopes it will lead innovation in key manufacturing sectors by 2049, which will be the 100th anniversary of the establishment of the CCP’s regime.

However, after the “Made in China 2025” became a sticking point in the trade war with the U.S., the CCP has stopped talking about it publicly.  The project even disappeared from the CCP’s 2019 government work report.

The reason why the CCP no longer talks about it, is that the US has been criticizing the CCP for stealing technology from the US.

I remember when I covered a US Senate hearing in 2018 on “China’s Non-Traditional Espionage Against the United States”, Senator John Cornyn pointed at a poster of the CCP’s “strategic goals” and said that was the CCP’s shopping list to steal technology from the US.

So it seems that the push back of the US had worked a little bit. That’s why the CCP no longer talks about its ambitious Made in China 2025 plan.

Xi Jinping Feels “Choke Held” in Key Technologies by the West

In addition to the trade war, the Trump administration has imposed sanctions on the CCP’s state-owned technology companies such as telecommunications giant Huawei and ZTE,  and Semiconductor Manufacturing International Corporation.

As a result, the CCP has publicly admitted that China is suffering “choke holding” in the field of technology.

Actually, it was Xi Jinping who first used the term “choke holding”  in a  CCP’s Central Economic Work Conference he hosted in November last year.

He admitted that innovation in China’s manufacturing industry was far from enough, so the country’s strategic science and technology forces should work on solving the problem of being  “choke held” by others in key technologies.

Then in December last year, Chinese Premier Li Keqiang also talked about solving a number of ‘chokehold’ problems as soon as possible.

So from these we can see that although the CCP has stolen a lot of technology, it wasn’t able to master the most important, key technologies.  That’s why the CCP officials now realized and admitted that China needs 30 more years to become a manufacturing powerhouse.

However, I doubt if the CCP can still exist for another 30 years. Maybe before China can become a manufacturing powerhouse, the CCP will have already collapsed, right? If the CCP does collapse, maybe China will really have a chance to catch up with the world in 30 years or even sooner.

Anyway, that’s what I think.

Huawei Turns to “Smart Pig Farming”  Due to a Cut-off in Chip Supply

In recent years, China has become the world’s largest manufacturing country driven by domestic and international demand, but its industry’s dependence in U.S. high-tech products such as semiconductors has become a strategic weakness for the CCP.

For example, although Huawei has been backed by the CCP with full force, it was hit hard by the U.S. sanctions.

Recently, when it became too difficult for it to maintain its main cell phone business, Huawei was forced to announce that it would try to “survive without cell phones”.

In February this year, Huawei’s Chairman Ren Zhengfei vowed to “survive without cell phones”, and launched the so-called “Nanniwan” project to save itself.

The project includes making breakthroughs in various fields such as coal and steel production, music, smart screens, PC computers, tablets, etc.

So what is the “Nanniwan project” ?

Nanniwan is actually the name of a place, the so-called “revolutionary base” of the CCP located near Yan’an in Shaanxi Province in China. In 1941, that was, when the legitimate Chinese government led by Kuomingtang was fighting with the Japanese during the Second Sino-Japanese War, the CCP was hiding in Yan’an and tried to survive and develop. And it used its soldiers to farm at Nanniwan, and they also grew opium [ˈoʊpiəm]. They sold the opium to buy supplies for the CCP, and this really saved the CCP’s life.

So after the CCP took power, Nanniwan has become a symbolic “sacred” place that has saved the CCP. Let’s show a few pictures of it now. You can see that Nanniwan has now become a tourist site and a base for the CCP to brainwash young generations.

Now let’s see a picture of  the CCP’s flag they grew in the land of Nanniwan, obviously to educate the visitors that you need to “love your motherland”, in fact, to love the CCP. Now let’s see another picture of Mao Zedong’s famous quote in Chinese “自己动手,丰衣足食” also being grown in the land of Nanniwan.

“自己动手,丰衣足食” means if we work hard ourselves, we will have enough food and clothing.

It was a famous slogan in Mao Zedong’s time when China was isolated by the world as a Communist regime.

Now, Huawei’s chairman wants to go back to Mao Zedong’s time and to adopt the so-called “Nanniwan Spirit” to try to save itself.

Well, Huawei did have launched its “Smart Pig Farming” project.

It includes providing dashboard monitoring, big data analysis, and digital management etc, to the pig farming industry.

It also supports AI identification, AI learning, AI prediction, AI decision making, etc.

We have all heard about “facial recognition” technology, right? Well, Huawei has now extended this to pigs, so they have created identity cards for pigs, and use “pig face” identification in their  “Smart Pig Farming” solutions.

A lot of Chinese netizens are mocking that Huawei has finally found an area to put its high technology into practice.

Well, since the first case of African swine fever was confirmed in China in 2018, the price of pork has risen steadily in China.

As a result, the CCP has started to promote the so-called “scientific pig farming”. Many high-tech enterprises have entered the pig farming industry. That’s why Huawei is also starting to get in on the act.

Will it succeed? We’ll have to wait and see.

Well, that’s all for today’s “Inconvenient Truths”. I hope you have enjoyed it. Please make sure you subscribe to, and are still subscribed to my channel. Please also take some time to like my videos, and leave us a comment.

Will Las Vegas Sands’ Asian Bet Succeed? When Did The CCP First Obtain the CCP Virus Strain?

Hello, everyone, welcome to “Inconvenient Truths”. I am your host Jennifer Zeng.

First of all, how  exciting that today I can finally do live streaming! YouTube had blocked me from going live for as long as 90 days for posting the video of CCP professor Di Dongsheng’s bragging about how the CCP had their own people at the top level of the inner circle of the US politics, and how the CCP would like to have Biden in power as they had deals with his son Hunter Biden, etc. So YouTube not only deleted that video of mine, but also banned me from going live for 90 days.

Anyway, now let’s go to our topics today.

Have you ever been to Las Vegas? If you have, you must have visited one of the most magnificent venues there:  The Venetian Resort Hotel and Casino, let’s show a picture of it.  Or you might have been to an event at the Sands Expo and Convention Center. Let’s show a picture of it too. They all belong to the world’s largest casino operator, Las Vegas Sands Corp. Recently this upscale resort and casino company is leaving the US Market and moving virtually all its assets to Asia, in fact, to Macau and Singapore. Some people say this is a huge bet. Will this bet be successful? Today I’d like to talk a little bit about it. Then I will briefly discuss another two topics: How could the CCP already have COVID vaccine as early as March 2020? And why did Xi Jinping need 2 cups at the CCP’s most important annual political conference, while others all had only 1 cup? I will show you a lot of interesting photos. So please make sure you stick around till the end.

Moving from the US to Asia

Las Vegas Sands recently sold its signature properties in Las Vegas for $6.25 billion,  and is going to invest $5.5 billion to renovate and grow its casino holdings in Macau and Singapore. This means the world’s largest casino operator will effectively exit its Las Vegas roots to focus on its Asian operations.

From whatever angle, this is a huge move. But will this giant “bet” succeed?

Sands started the selling process of its properties as early as last October. The move was widely seen as the result of the massive impact of the CCP virus pandemic. The temporary shutdown, the reduction in visitors and business customers have caused the company’s revenue to drop by more than 47 percent

In the first nine months of 2020, Sands posted a net loss of more than $1.3 billion.

In 2019, before the COVID outbreak, Sands had about 85 percent of its revenue coming from its real estate business in Asia.

However, Sands’ performance in Singapore and Macau last year was also not good. Its Singapore company Marina Bay Sands reported a 76.9 percent drop in full-year earnings, while the net income of Sands China plunged nearly 81 percent last year.

Macau’s Gambling License Renewal: A Bargaining Chip for the Chinese Communist Party?

According to Hong Kong’s Apple Daily, if Sands decides to completely shift its focus to China, there exists some uncertainties, and the biggest one is whether Sands’ gambling license in Macau can be renewed after it expires in June 2022.

Up to now the Macau government has not yet disclosed its intention as to whether it will renew Sands’ license or not. As the tensions between the US and China continue, there are concerns that as Sands is a US company, its license renewal could be affected.

As early as 2018, Hong Kong newspaper Oriental Daily reported that while there had been rumors that the government of Macau might initiate an open bid for gambling licenses, details of the renewal of current licenses were not disclosed, and the reason might be that the Macau authorities were waiting for instructions from Beijing.

The report also said that the renewal of the licenses could become an important bargaining chip for the CCP in the US-China trade war.

Conflicting Reports about Adelson: Had the CCP Given Him Pressure?

And then there were rumors about Sands’ late founder Sheldon Adelson, who just died two months ago, in Jan. this year. Let’s show a picture of him first.

Adelson was the biggest donor for America’s Republican Party, and was President Trump’s largest financial supporter in the 2016 election and in the Mueller investigation into the so-called “Russia collusion”.  He was also considered the financial backbone of Trump’s 2020 re-election campaign. Let’s show a picture of Adelson and President Trump.

Adelson had long since been regarded as a “GOP power broker” and America’s “most influential GOP donor over the final years of his life”.

According to Guo Wengui, an exiled Chinese billionaire living in the US, CCP once used the renewal of Sands’ Macau gambling license as a bargaining chip to force Adelson to pressure President Trump during the U.S.-China trade war.

Guo Wengui said, the CCP leader Xi Jinping told Adelson that Sands could not only have its license renewed in Macau, but also gain a new license in Hainan Province in China, but only on the condition that Trump was not re-elected.

In the US, there are conflicting media reports about Adelson’s attitude toward Trump.

Let’s show the screenshot of a Wall Street Journal report in September 2019. The report says that “President Trump’s sudden escalation of the trade war with China last month triggered a telephone call from billionaire casino owner Sheldon Adelson, who warned the president about the conflict’s impact on the U.S. economy and Mr. Trump’s re-election prospects.”

Now let’s show a report of Politico. It was published in August 2020, three months before Election Day. The report says that a phone call between Trump and Adleson “unexpectedly turned contentious”.

The report goes like this, “Trump brought the conversation around to the campaign and confronted Adelson about why he wasn’t doing more to bolster  his reelection…Adelson chose not to come back at Trump.”

So from these conflicting reports, we could still see that it seemed that Adelson had given pressure to Trump regarding the trade war with China. And if he was the biggest donor of the Republican party, his words must have a lot of weight.

Bribing CCP Officials To Gain Macau Gambling License

In order to get into the Chinese market, Sands had made a huge investment, and went so far as to bribe the CCP officials.

The bribery was revealed when Richard Suen, a Hong Kong businessman who brokered the deal between Sands and the CCP, sued Adelson in the US in 2004

The court case revealed that in 2000, Suen told Adelson about Macau’s openness on gambling licenses. Suen then arranged Adelson’s meetings with Qian Qichen, former Chinese vice premier and then-director of the Hong Kong and Macau Affairs Office. Suen also arranged Adelson’s meetings with Liu Qi, president of the Beijing Olympic Committee and Secretary of the CCP Beijing Municipal Committee.

Afterwards, the governor of Macau issued gambling licenses to Sands.

In return, Adelson lobbied bigwigs in the GOP using his relationship with the party, which resulted in the abortion of the resolution on resisting Beijing’s Olympic bid.

After 14 years of a back and forth long legal battle, the case between Richard Suen and Sands was settled in March 2019. Terms of the settlement were not announced.

In 2013, the court had ruled that Sands must pay Richard Suen $70 million as his compensation. The $70 million later grew to more than $100 million with interest.

In another separate case, Sands was fined $9 million by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission in April 2016. It was convicted of breaching the “Foreign Corruption Practices Act” as a large amount of money it invested in China was not clearly accounted for.

So, if the compensation to Richard Suen could be as huge as $100 million, we could only imagine how much Sands had paid as bribery money to get its Macau license.

 “Bet” in China Risky

Experts say that in addition to the uncertainty surrounding the extension of its Macau’s gambling license, Sands’ growing investment in China will make it hard for it to pull out, and the “bet” is very risky.

Dr. Frank Tian Xie, a Professor in Business at the University of South Carolina Aiken, said that the risks are from two different aspects: economic and political risks.

Xie said Sands’ investment in Macau obviously aims at attracting people from China. In the past, a lot of CCP officials went to Macau to gamble to either enjoy themselves, or do money laundering.

However, Xi Jinping’s vigorous “anti-corruption campaigns” have greatly curbed these people from going to Macau, or anywhere else in the world.

In the meantime, the Chinese economy is not doing well, foreign exchange reserves are tight, so there is not much money to take out.

Another risk is in the political field.  Whether it’s Qian Qichen or Liu Qi, who helped Sands to get the license before, they were all “outdated” now. Some of the political figures with whom Sands had established relations before might have belonged to Jiang Zemin’s faction. With the change of leadership in China, everything else has changed too. All these created more uncertainty for Sands’ big bet.

Furthermore, the chances of a total collapse of the CCP’s political system and economy are increasing, and Sands has definitely underestimated the risk of investing in China.

CCP Officials Vaccinated in March 2020

Now, let’s move to our next topic: the CCP virus, or COVID 19 vaccine.

During the recent CCP’s “two sessions”, that is,  the CCP’s annual National People’s Congress and the National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference, Yu Qingming, a delegate to the National People’s Congress and the party secretary and chairman of China National Pharmaceutical Group (which is called Sinopharm for short), let’s show a picture of him. So this is Yu Qingming, he disclosed that Sinopharm’s senior management had received the CCP virus vaccine a year ago. He also claimed that the antibodies were still at a high level a year later.

He said after one year of continuous antibody tracking and monitoring, it was found that the antibodies all remained at a high level and did not show any significant decline. Previously, Sinopharm had said that their vaccine could provide protection for at least 6 months.

After the news was published, a lot of people started asking: how could they develop the vaccine as soon as March last year?

We all know that according to the CCP’s official information or reports, the first CCP virus cases appeared in Wuhan, China, in December 2019, the big outbreak was in January 2020, and the first successful isolation of the virus from clinical samples was on January 7.

And then on January 11, the full genome of the CCP virus was published on the website virological.org by Dr. Zhang Yongzhen’s team. Zhang Yongzhen is a professor at the Shanghai Public Health Clinical Center.

So, that is to say, the genome of the CCP virus was only available on Jan. 11. So how could the CCP develop a vaccine as soon as only 2 months later?

In normal circumstances, it needs several years to develop a vaccine, and President Trump had kept bragging about how great the US was for being able to develop a vaccine in only 9 months. So how could the CCP get a vaccine in only 2 months?

If the claim that they had a vaccine in March 2020 is true, there are only two possibilities:

1) The virus was a bioweapon that was developed by the CCP long ago, and they had started the development of the vaccine long before the virus became known to the world.

2) The virus was released by accident, but much earlier than Dec. 2019. So the CCP started to develop the vaccine much earlier. In the meantime, they refused to tell the world and covered up the truth, all the way until right now.

Whichever of the above two situations is true, the world needs to hold the CCP accountable for the losses of millions of lives and unfathomable sufferings in so many other forms.

Unfortunately, it seems that nobody is thinking or talking about this anymore.

Xi Jinping’s Two Cups

Now, let’s move to our last topic today: Xi Jinping’s two cups.

Let’s see a picture of the CCP’s two sessions that have lasted for several days and just closed today. You can see that Xi Jinping has two cups in front of him while all others only have one cup.

While the CCP’s conferences are very boring, like always, every year people could find something interesting to talk about. So Xi Jinping’s two cups became a hot topic for some Chinese netizens this year, and more interesting stuff was dug out.

Now let’s show a picture of last year.  People found that last year, while the conference staff kept adding water to other CCP leaders’ empty cups, Xi Jinping’s cup was taken away instead, and then another cup was put in front of him. That is, his cup got exchanged.

Now let’s show a picture of 2016. In that year there were three male attendants serving the leaders, one of them held a small water bottle and poured water for Xi Jinping only. The other two moved to the left and right to pour water for other leaders.

So why did Xi Jinping need 2 cups? And why did his cup get changed? Why didn’t they just add more water to his cup, like they did to other leaders’ cups?

The best guess is, he needs more water than others, and he didn’t want people to see what was in his cup, that’s why they took the entire cup away, with a cover on it, instead of opening the cover to add more water.

So what was the thing in the cup that he didn’t want people to see? The best guess is, medicine. He might have some health issues and had to take medicine during the long meeting. So he hid it in the cup that way.

Quite mysterious and interesting, right? Everything about the CCP is not only evil, but also very weird.

Adding water to the leaders’ teacups is a very important job. Let’s show a few pictures of beautiful looking young women practicing how to maintain their body shapes and straight lines when moving forward to add water to the leaders. They really needed to practice very, very hard to achieve that.

But have you noticed that now it is young men, instead of young women, doing the job? Why did they change the gender of the attendants?

Let’s show a few pictures of how former CCP leader Jiang Zemin stared at the young woman who poured the water for him. There are a lot of other similar photos of him and other CCP leaders looking at the young ladies in a disgusting manner. That had started becoming some sort of international joke several years ago.

So, since 2015, the CCP has been using male attendants to add the water to avoid similar disgusting scenes from being caught by the cameras.

Well, that’s all for today. I hope you enjoy our first live broadcasting. If you like my content, please subscribe to and share my channel. Please also take some time to like my videos and leave us a comment.

Management of Sinopharm Vaccinated in March 2020

Recently, Yu Qingming, a delegate to the National People’s Congress of the Communist Party of China and the party secretary and chairman of China National Pharmaceutical Group Co., Ltd. (Sinopharm), disclosed that Sinopharm’s senior management had received the vaccine a year ago and claimed that the antibodies were still at a high level a year later, triggering a public outcry and questions about when the vaccine was first developed and where the virulent strain came from.

According to official Chinese media reports, Yu Qingming said that in March 2020, the party and government officials in charge of the four levels of Sinopharm Group “tried the drug on their own bodies”, and after one year of continuous antibodies tracking and monitoring, they all remained at a high level and did not show any significant decline. Previously, Sinopharm had said to the public that the inactivated vaccine could provide protection for at least 6 months.

“I’m Getting Xi Jinping’s Treatment!”

I am living in a two-story apartment now. To reduce the number of trips downstairs, I always take two cups when I need to go downstairs to get water. The white one is for drinking water. Another one is a gift from the Heritage Foundation when I was invited to speak there in Oct. 2019. (My speech here). This cup is an insulated one, so I use it to “store” water. Every time I fill both cups together and bring them upstairs, so I don’t have to go down again too frequently.

Today, I went downstairs to boil water just as my roommate was about to make coffee. After the water boiled, I helped her brew her coffee first, then filled my cups one by one. When I got to the second “storage cup”, I somehow remembered Xi Jinping’s “stunt” of having two teacups in front of him during the “Two Sessions”. I couldn’t help blurting out, “I am getting Xi Jinping’s treatment!”

on March 4, Xi Jinping alone has two teacups during the opening ceremony of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference.

on March 4, Xi Jinping alone has two teacups during the opening ceremony of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference.

My roommate and I laughed out loud at the same time, so much so that tears came out of our eyes.

Chinese commentator Wen Zhao said in his show that the most likely reason for the two cups in front of Xi Jinping is that one of the cups has medicine in it, so he doesn’t want others to see what it is. That is to say, Xi Jinping’s health may have gone wrong.

On March 5, a male attendant poured water for Xi Jinping at the opening ceremony of the Communist Party's National People's Congress, still with two teacups in front of him.

In connection with my own “two cups” routine, is it possible that Xi Jinping is also trying to reduce the frequency of waiters coming to fill the water? Or is it that he has to drink twice as much water as others, so he needs two cups when others have just one?

On May 22, 2020, at the opening ceremony of the Chinese Communist Party's National People's Congress (NPC), the media noticed a scene of Xi Jinping's "cup change". Unlike other leaders at the meeting, a male waiter did not add water directly to Xi's cup, but took it away and replaced it with a new one.

In short, everything about the CCP is so evil, so weird and “mysterious”. In their annual political show, there is really nothing to watch. Everything is just a show. However, the two cups of Xi Jinping has become the hot spot of attention. Is he really having health issues?

As early as the two sessions in 2016, the Hong Kong media has noticed about the special service offered for of Xi Jinping. At that time, there were three male attendants serving the Politburo members on the podium of the two sessions. However, one of the attendants held a small water bottle and poured water for Xi Jinping alone. The other two moved to the left and right to pour water for the other 12 Politburo members.

If that is the case, I don’t know which one will fall first, the chief “accelerator” of the CCP, or the CCP itself. We, as the “masses”, can only watch and see.

Since 2015, male attendants have been pouring water for Xi Jinping and other standing committee members at the Communist Party's two sessions. Before that, female attendants poured water. One theory about the gender shift of waiters is that male waiters may be the bodyguards of the highest level of the Communist Party. There is also the view that this is to prevent the scandal of high-ranking Communist officials staring at beautiful women from being exposed. Jiang Zemin's lustful eyes on beautiful women (as shown in this picture) have long been a well-known joke at home and abroad.

Former PLA Lieutenant Colonel: 70 Years in the Making, Never Underestimate the CCP’s Determination & Ability to “Unify Taiwan”

Hello, everyone, welcome to “Inconvenient Truths”. I am your host Jennifer Zeng.

Several days ago, President Trump’s national security adviser H.R. McMaster told the US Senate that the CCP could invade Taiwan very soon, and the most dangerous time period is from 2022 onward, after the Beijing Winter Olympics and the CCP’s twice-a-decade national congress. His statement has drawn a lot of international attention and discussions. Will the CCP really invade Taiwan? If yes, how soon? Today I’d like to share with you some insights from a true insider, a former CCP navy commander, as well as an interesting timeline unintentionally revealed by the CCP itself.

“Librating Taiwan”: A Collective Psychological Complex of More than 70 Years

First of all, how eager is the CCP, or its head Xi Jinping to invade Taiwan? Many people have been saying very eager. For example, China expert  Gordon Chang recently said in an article that as Xi Jinping is seeking a third term at the CCP’s 20th National Congress in late 2022, a takeover of Taiwan would almost certainly result in an additional five-year term for Xi Jinping, so he has a lot of incentive to do so.

But a former CCP navy lieutenant colonel  has given us a more of an insider’s perspective.

Yao Cheng is a former lieutenant colonel of the CCP’s Naval Command. Let’s show Picture 1. This is Yao Cheng. He had served in the CCP’s Navy for more than 20 years, 10 years of which was spent in the CCP’s South China Sea Fleet. He once participated in the battle between the CCP and Vietnam on March 14, 1988. It is called Johnson South Reef Skirmish

Yao Cheng, former CCP navy Lieutenant Colonel

Yao Cheng, former CCP navy Lieutenant Colonel

Recently he appeared on a Chinese talk show program on NTDTV , and revealed something that only an insider would know. He said that he had attended the CCP’s military schools 3 times, every time when he went to the school, not only him, but everybody there, as well as those who applied to join the party, had to go through some sort of ceremony, in which everyone must vow that they were willing to sacrifice their lives in order to “liberate Taiwan”.

So Yao Cheng said, to “liberate Taiwan” is a very deep collective psychological complex of the CCP and its soldiers. This collective psychological complex has been sitting on the CCP army’s mind for more than 70 years now. From the CCP’s first generation leader Mao Zedong, to ordinary young soldiers today, to be able to “take back” Taiwan will be the greatest honor that will last forever. So this is a very big temptation.

By the way, although the CCP never owned Taiwan, it always says “take back Taiwan” or “liberate Taiwan” as an effective way to create a narrative to make people feel as if Taiwan once belonged to the CCP.

A Much Bigger Goal than Merely “Unifying Taiwan”

Another motivation, or driving force that the outside world failed to notice or mention is the actual need for the CCP to take control of the Taiwan Strait. If the CCP can control the Taiwan Strait, it can then break through the First Island Chain, gain access to the Pacific Ocean, and break through the possible blockade or embargo of the West.

Let’s show a picture of the First Island Chain. If the CCP wants to break through the First Island Chain, there are three areas it can consider: the East China Sea, the South China Sea and the Taiwan Strait.

First Island Chain

First Island Chain

Yao Cheng said, the CCP doesn’t have much advantage in the East China Sea or the South China Sea, as Japan and the US have much stronger presence and military capability in those two areas.

However,  if the CCP can take control of the Taiwan Strait, it can achieve this purpose just the same.

So “unifying our country” is not the only motivation for the CCP. The CCP has a much bigger goal in its mind, that is, the Pacific Ocean. If the CCP can have access to the ocean, and deploy its deep sea nuclear submarines [ˈsʌbməˌrin] into the Pacific Ocean, it can pose a real threat and deterrence to the US.

So Yao Cheng said, many overseas China experts and researchers have underestimated the CCP’s determination to take over Taiwan.

So that’s the motive.

 Two Different Battles, Many Steps

How about the capability? Many people say that the CCP dares not attack Taiwan as its military power is too far away from that of the US, and it doesn’t dare to challenge the US and Taiwan.

Yao Cheng doesn’t quite agree with this.

He said, when the CCP attacks Taiwan, it will launch two different battles.  Battle 1 is called the “anti-intervention campaign”. Its main purpose is to prevent the US from intervening in the CCP’s attack on Taiwan. Only Battle 2 directly targets Taiwan.

Also, the CCP’s invasion of Taiwan will not be done in one go. It is done gradually, by squeezing Taiwan’s space little by little.

For example, the CCP’s fighter jets have already crossed the middle line of the Taiwan Strait. The CCP’s next step could be to go to Penghu Islands to harass. Then it could strike at certain military facilities in Taiwan that have an impact on the mainland. It could launch the so-called surgical style strikes.

Yao Cheng said, according to what he learned, the CCP’s first target could be Taiwan’s two high-performance radars, as these radars can clearly detect the movements of most of the planes taking off and landing in China.

So the CCP will not tolerate the existence of these radars. That was also the reason why the CCP was so mad when the so-called Thaad system , which means Terminal High Altitude Area Defense system was installed in South Korea a few years ago.

Anyway, the CCP’s Battle 2 is a gradual process. It will go like this: It takes one step forward, and then pauses to see the reaction of the US. If the US doesn’t have a strong response, it will then take another step, and project more and more pressure towards Taiwan.

When Taiwan is unable to resist, or when Taiwan can’t stand the pressure anymore and surrenders, the CCP will then take over. Maybe the CCP won’t even need to launch actual military attacks.

Only if Taiwan doesn’t surrender, will the CCP’s troops try to forcefully land in Taiwan. That will be the last step.

So invading Taiwan is a gradual process, not something to be achieved overnight.

 “Anti-Intervention Campaign”: “Saturated-Strike”

As to the Battle 1, the “anti-intervention campaign”, Yao Cheng said it is mainly about fighting America’s aircraft carriers. Yao Cheng thinks that won’t be too big of a problem for the CCP, as it can adopt the so-called “saturated-strike”.

What is a “saturated-strike”? It means that the CCP will not launch just 1 or 2 missiles. Instead, it will launch 100 missiles at the same time, all targeting the same aircraft carrier.

Yao Cheng said the CCP already has enough good quality missiles to launch this kind of “saturated-strike”.

If the CCP launches 100 missiles at the same time, it is hard to intercept them all. So there is a possibility that the US  aircraft carrier will be hit, or even hit very badly.

Yao Cheng said, while the CCP doesn’t care about its own casualties or losses, the US does care. If one aircraft carrier sinks, with 5000-6000 American soldiers losing their lives, the US won’t be able to stand this kind of loss. So when facing this kind of possibility, the US may choose to back down.

Yao Cheng said, it is true that the CCP doesn’t know whether the US will get itself involved in such a war to defend Taiwan, so the CCP will try to keep on testing the Biden Administration to decide what to do next. If the US shows weakness and not enough determination, the CCP will be more aggressive.

CCP’s Secret Weapons: The Second and Third Navy

Yao Cheng said, the reason why some military experts believe that the CCP won’t dare to attack Taiwan is that they think the CCP doesn’t have enough amphibious assault ships

Yao Cheng said, in fact, the CCP already has 74 large landing ships. It also has many ships that can transport land forces to Taiwan.

Yao Cheng said, what the outside world doesn’t know much is that apart from its regular navy, the CCP also has its second, even third navy.

The “Second Navy” refers to the marine police. They are usually under the jurisdiction of the armed police force, and their daily task is to maintain law and order at sea and to combat illegal and criminal actions at sea.

But if a war breaks out, this force can be turned into the “Second Navy” in no time.

So what is the “Third Navy”? Yao Cheng said they are Chinese fishermen. The fishermen in the 11 cities along the coast of China have hundreds of thousands of fishing boats. So when a war breaks out, all the civilian and merchant ships can be used to transport soldiers too. In the CCP’s system, that is not a problem at all.

Yao Cheng said,  the CCP had actually done so before. It had used fishermen boats to transport its soldiers in its “Battle of Hainan Island” in 1950. During that battle, the CCP mobilized a total of 2,130 civilian ships called junks and over 4,000 civilian sailors to fight for the CCP. Let’s show a picture of the junks and a picture of CCP soldiers preparing to cross the strait to take over Hainan Island in 1950.

So Yao Chen said, if the CCP could do this sort of thing in 1950, it can do the same now.

When Could the CCP Attack Taiwan?

The next question is,  when could the CCP attack Taiwan?

Yao Cheng agrees with McMaster on this matter, that is, it could happen before the CCP’s 20th National Congress in 2022.

Yao Cheng said that in order to seek a third term, Xi Jinping had gone so far as to change the constitution of China, and one of the excuses he used was the “unification of Taiwan”. If he doesn’t “unify” Taiwan, he will lose this excuse to stay in power.

So that’s looking at this issue from inside China.

If we look at the international environment, many countries have suffered very badly because of the CCP virus, or the COVID pandemic, and have lost the interest or ability to deal with the CCP now.

On the other hand, although China’s economy also suffered from the pandemic, the setback was not as bad.

Yao Cheng said, in the recent 10 years, after Xi Jinping came to power, the CCP had been building up its military capacities very aggressively. A large number of warships and various types of aircraft have been produced. So in terms of the gap between the US and Chinese forces, it may be at its smallest level now. So the CCP wouldn’t want to lose this very short time window, or the “fleeting window of opportunity”. That’s how McMaster described it at the Senate hearing.

 A Road/Bridge to Taiwan

Recently, on Feb 24, the CCP released its “National comprehensive three-dimensional transportation network planning outline”.

So this is a plan of the transportation network that is to be built by 2035.

Now let’s show the map inside this plan. If you look carefully at Taiwan on the map, you will see that a yellow line, which represents one of the main roads, will be built all the way to Taiwan.

Map of National comprehensive three-dimensional transportation network planning outline , to be finished by 2035.

Map of National comprehensive three-dimensional transportation network planning outline, to be finished by 2035.

What does this mean? If the CCP doesn’t have sovereignty over Taiwan, how can it build a road to connect Taiwan and the mainland?

Although it is not the first time that the CCP has included Taiwan in its infrastructure plans, it has done the same thing in 2004, 2008, 2009, 2011. 2016 and 2017, however, because of the sensitivity of the situation now, people are treating this latest plan more seriously.

If the CCP really plans to have such a road built by 2035, it has to take over Taiwan by 2025 at the latest, as such a long, cross-sea road or bridge needs at least 10 years to build.

We all know that up to now, the world’s longest cross sea bridge is the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge. Let’s show a picture of the bridge. It is 55 km, or 34 miles long. It took 6 years to plan it, and 9 years to build it.

Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge .

Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge.

If a similar road or bridge is going to be built between Taiwan and mainland China, its length would be 130 km, or 80 miles. So such a long bridge or road cannot be built in too short a time. So this could be another sign of the CCP’s determination to invade Taiwan soon.

Yao Cheng repeatedly warned that the CCP has been waiting and preparing for over 70 years to invade Taiwan.  So it is very dangerous to underestimate the threat and danger that Taiwan is facing now. And the threat and danger is not only towards Taiwan. If the free world allows the CCP to occupy Taiwan, the entire world will also suffer the consequences.

A Fatal Weakness of the CCP’s Army

However, Yao Cheng said that the CCP’s army also has a fatal weakness, that is, the soldiers may not necessarily want to fight and die for the CCP. Recently the CCP just raised the soldiers’ salaries by 40%. This means that the CCP wanted to buy the soldiers’ hearts and lives with money.

But in the meantime, the CCP doesn’t trust the soldiers at all. Up to now, the CCP’s army PLA is still adopting a so-called “Separation of Gun and Bullet” system in the army.

What does that mean? Yao Cheng said it means that the guns and bullets are locked inside different iron cabinets. The windows and doors of the rooms are all iron too. The company commander and the instructor each hold a key. One has the key to the guns, another person has the key to the bullets. So the storage and management of the guns and bullets are separated

So that is to say, the CCP doesn’t trust the soldiers and has set up a system in which the soldiers are on guard against one another. No one is to be trusted.

So when the war breaks out, will the CCP be able to control everything when both guns and bullets are in the hands of the soldiers? Who can the CCP really trust? That would be a huge problem for the CCP.

Yao Cheng said, if people in Taiwan hold a banner which says, “PLA soldiers, put down your guns, and here is your path to the free world”, maybe half of the soldiers would put down their guns and seek to surrender to the free world.

Well, that’s quite interesting too, right? Remember, this is from a 20 year CCP veteran.

OK, that’s all for today. Please don’t forget to subscribe to my channel and turn on the notification bell. Some people told me they didn’t receive any notifications even when they turned the bell on. So maybe a better idea is to save the link to my channel in your bookmarks and check it regularly.

Thank you very much. Let’s pray that nothing bad will happen to Taiwan, and let’s pray that the free world will have the guts to stand up against the CCP.

Thank you, see you soon!

A CCP Doctor Proposes that Organ Donation Rate Be Included in City Assessment

Chen Jingyu, Director of Jiangsu Lung Transplant Center in China, National People’s Congress Representative, proposed at the CCP’s “two sessions” that organ donation rate be included in the city assessment to get more organs.

He said only 10K out of 300K who need organs can get it every year.

According to Chen Jingyu, the National Health Commission has made organ donation one of the assessment elements of third-class hospitals, but this is not enough and has not spread to all hospitals. It is essential to form an atmosphere in which the whole society promotes organ donation, especially the promotion by local governments.

Chen Jingyu suggested that the organ donation rate be made one of the criteria for a civilized city assessment, making it clear that this standard should reach the national average organ donation rate of the previous year (5.6 per million population in 2019).

When tweeting about this news, Chinese commentator Frank Qin says “This beast wants to kill more people”.

It is widely know that the CCP has been mass killing prisoners of conscience, esp. Falun Gong practitioners, for their organs. A Diplomat article questioned whether Beijing should be given the right to host 2022 Winter Olympics.

The article says, “Just over a year ago an independent tribunal chaired by Sir Geoffrey Nice QC, the British barrister who prosecuted Slobodan Milosevic, found evidence of widespread and systematic forced organ harvesting from prisoners of conscience, amounting to crimes against humanity. The China Tribunal’s judgment concluded that anyone engaging with the regime in Beijing should be aware that they are ‘interacting with a criminal state’.”

On Feb 29, 2020, Chen Jingyu’s team successfully conducted World’s first double lung transplant for a 59 y/o COVID2019 patient. Official report says “Experts in the industry believe this case is of great significance to reduce mortality of Coronavirus.”

When the news broke, people questioned whether this would mean more people would be killed for their lungs and who would have the ability to pay for such “treatment”?

Chen Jingyu is the person who first requested that “fast-track channel for human organs” be open at Chinese airports.
