It seems my tweet about #Chinacoup last Friday was amplified, and sometimes twisted as the “original” source of this affair.
As a matter of fact, I never used any other words than “rumor” to refer to it, and I was just trying to relay what had been spreading on Chinese language social media.
Also, only minutes later, I posted another tweet saying that “Someone told me that he knows the family of a #CCP admiral, the rumor about Xi’s arrest is not true.”
And in my YouTube show about this matter on the same day, I presented contradicting views and facts used to support these views without confirming or denying any of them.
To be frank, I never expected that my tweet would be retweeted and quoted so many times by so many media and so many people. It seems that many people do hope that Xi Jinping can be overturned.
However, this kind of attention, as well as some negative comments, do bring me some extra mental pressure. I can only say that I have been trying my best to bring to light what happens in China since I started my channel in early 2020. Because of the CCP’s tight control, it is difficult to obtain accurate information. Rumors are sometimes spread as facts, but there are also other times that “rumors” turn out to be the truth. So to tell the “ Inconvenient Truth “ about China and the CCP is not an easy job. Sometimes I do make mistakes, but I always try to rectify those if I realize there is a mistake. And I try my best to verify information when I can.
Also, I no longer work for, or have any affiliation with any other media outlets, including the Epoch Times and New Tang Dynasty Television, nor do I represent Falun Gong, or the views of Falun Gong in any sense. I take full responsibility for my words and actions, as a so-called “self-media” person. Falun Gong is only my personal belief and my spiritual practice. It is part of my private life, not my professional work. Just like Christians and Buddhists all have their jobs, and their jobs don’t represent their faiths or the churches and temples they go to. Their jobs may have nothing to do whatsoever with their beliefs.
In the past 23 years, the CCP has been viciously defaming Falun Gong, a benign spiritual practice, in order to justify the brutal and groundless persecution, and Falun Gong practitioners have been suffering the most severe mental and physical torture in China. I hope no one will ever repeat the CCP’s slanderous attacks against Falun Gong, and I hope even less that anyone would attack Falun Gong because of anything I say or do.
I’d like also to take this opportunity to express my heartfelt gratitude to my audience, readers, and social media followers. Without your support, I wouldn’t have walked so far, and might have lost the courage to carry on this highly intensive and challenging task long ago.
Thank you again from the bottom of my heart.
