the breath of my lungs
finding calm under your canopy
a silence that remains unsung.
You are my wonder
more than beauty to behold
from seeds to magnificent trunks
cathedrals to my soul.
You are my sanctuary
home beyond concrete and steel
my witness along your every path
by fern and branch concealed.
You are my surrender
with courage reaching for the sun
worlds in a leaf’s reflection
until another day is done.
